I was volunteering for the Solheim Cup golf tournament and booked my room a bit late. As the golf was in town at the same time as the Iowa State Fair, rooms were hard to find and tended to be a bit expensive. I went with the Days Inn as it was a reasonable price (less than $150/night and better than all the $250+/night options I had). It had some decent reviews. When I arrived, the paint was peeling off the door. The room smelled of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The best I can imagine is it was coming from the other rooms that were smoking allowed. On the surface things looked clean but the edges of the floor in the bathroom were quite dirty. The mattress had a big valley in the middle and was less than comfortable. The free breakfast consisted of some cereal, toast, bagels and a waffle maker, along with juice and coffee (instant). I've learned my lesson on this -- you get what you pay for. I won't make the same mistake again.

Several items in room broken. Had to call maintenance twice for lightbulb in bathroom and fix tv.they did respond quickly and fix what was needed. Breakfast was not good. Went to McDonald's down the street. Paid 120 per night for this room. Not worth this.

The woman at the front desk was very rude to me with my 17 year old daughter there with me. The bathroom in our room reeked of smoke, made me feel sick.

Clean. Not fancy but we only sleep in the room and come here for other reasons.

Water was leaking through the roof when I was staying there, but the management does not care much about it. This hotel is very dated and in desperate need of a major renovation. Breakfast was very basic. The only tasty part was the good coffee.

Stained sheets, toe nails, quarter roll of Toilet paper

Besides sleeping, I was only at the hotel awake for 2 hrs. Beds were adequate. My nonsmoking room smelled like smoke in the bathroom. Towels were thin and rough. Room was clean.

The furniture was so huge that there was little space to walk, the TV and remote didn't work even after we asked the desk to help, and the personnel had almost no customer relations skills.

I spent one night there while driving to Minneapolis. It wasn't that great, but it served the purpose.

Just stayed there for one night. It was ok. Nothing special

You can't be too particular with a cheap hotel, but there are a few things that were less than great. Our non-smoking room was so smokey that our hair and clothes smelled terrible for 2 days. Also, if you stay here, make sure and bring your own blanket. The 'comforter' is a thick sheet, and you will freeze. Especially because the heater has 2 settings....on or off. The good things are that the location is right off 80/35, the front desk staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean.

Location was perfect, we just needed a clean comfortable room for one night which stayed within a limited budget. Breakfast and free Wi-Fi were a pleasant surprise and the coffee was good.

Stayed there for a quick night. Plenty of dining options nearby.

Ok for a place to rest and get some sleep. Room was clean. Coffee pot was broken. Other than that it was a fair deal.

It is a roach motel. The pictures are very misleading. The staff was unapproachable. We tried to cancel, but couldn't because we got it through a third party. At least the location is good.

WE HAVE STAYED IN THIS DAYS INN BEFORE. WE LIKE THE PRICE AND THE ROOMS HAVE BEEN CLEAN AND THE STAFF FRIENDLY.

Clean room poor breakfast, off smell in room, not the most personable staff

Going across the country it was satisfactory for staying one night. It was quiet and the front desk was very friendly.

This place has outdated everything. Not only was the TV the OLD, small, heavy-box style and the picture quality poor, but the furnishing as well. The easy chair in the room was missing a front left foot and when sat upon, of course fell forward. The bathroom had no vent, and while taking a shower, I noticed that there was a vent above (maybe that used to work in its day?) the end of the shower, and to my horror, it was creeping with black mold! In the front of the hotel, someone had stolen()? the landscaping because there were nothing but gaping, empty holes where what looked like new-size plants used to be. The inside of this place is shoddy. When I checked in and was told that a free breakfast was in the lobby, (very small lobby) I thought instantly, Note to self: Denny's or anywhere else tomorrow!
