We stayed here for 2 nights , a double room overlooking the river, it was clean and quite roomy, we had a problem locking the safe but after informing reception it was quickly fixed. The staff were lovely and pleasant and its in a great central location opposite the Intu shopping centre. We had breakfast both mornings and it was one of the best we have had on our travels, a really good choice and piping hot ..We would stay again .
My 4th or 5th overnight stay here with my wife, and cant fault it, ideal location, quiet and comfy, excellent food and very polite and attentive staff who make it what it is, always wish we could stay longer.
Great hotel with large, clean, quiet and comfy rooms. Local & friendly staff was also appreciated. Restaurant and bar was also good and not overpriced. Only negative was the car parking - why they didn’t build an underground car park when they built the hotel was a huge mistake. Instead you have to park in a busy multi storey car park with the City centres shoppers a few hundred metres away and finding a spot in busy periods can be a problem....
Lovely modern hotel in city centre but with views of the river and grassland. Very clean and well appointed rooms. The restaurant is particularly good. Staff are so pleasant and obliging. The only problem for us was access by car. Had to park in the multi storey and this necessitated a ten minute walk carrying luggage. Not ideal especially in bad weather. Disabled guests would find this impossible.
Location is perfect and the rooms are lovely! Staff are always pleasant. Only thing we found is that the check in staff didn't make note of our late check out to which we got a phone call, then had two housekeepers come in and quickly exit out of our room. So central, and price is good for what you get. The rooms are always very very clean and I can't complain about anything.
very modern hotel spent 4days with Craig and his staff over the new year period Could not have done enough to make sure we all had a great time Food was good The music on Hogmanay just suited the people on the coach tour Hotel is across the road from the huge Tu centre brilliant I am sure everyone had a great time Thank you Craig and his girls highly recommend your hotel
For a budget hotel, I would highly recommend this place as the location is very central and right by the main shopping centre, car park and bus station. Also the double rooms are quiet large, modern enough and clean. The shower was hot with good pressure (always important). Our TV was broken and couldn't be fixed until the next day because it was over New Years, however the Manager did offer to move us to another room. Staff also very attentive and polite. Would stay here again if visiting Derby on a budget.
Excellent service, friendly staff, very close to shops, lovely rooms would recommend. The parking is opposite at Intu and if you pay at the hotel costs £10 for 24 hours. Our breakfast was included and was very good.
I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, the check-in was quick and easy. The person in the reception didn't offer any help with my luggage (2x 32kg suitcases), but I wasn't exactly expecting it. As the usual small talk in hotel check ins, he asked where I was coming from and made a comment about my luggage. Considering that I mentioned that I was moving from a different country and had travelled 24 hours, I'd expect any half-compassionate human being to offer some sort of help. When I got to my room, it was very messy and dirty. I went back to the reception, the guy didn't seem to believe me and went back to the room to check what I meant or if I was just being fussy. It was actually embarrassing, there was toilet paper everywhere, rubbish on the floor, really not in a nice state. He apologised and told me to wait there, that he was going to get another room for me and send someone to bring me the key card. I got another room in the same floor, but quite far from the first room, and there I was dragging some very heavy suitcases again. I know incidents can happen, but I personally didn't like that the guy didn't seem to believe me and had to check the room for himself before putting me in a different room.
booked this hotel for a weekend break as we were attending a friends birthday party, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of our room. The facilities were excellent. The room was large and airy with a section as a lounge area. There was a large bed which was very comfortable and there was a large bathroom with both bath and shower facilities. There was a fridge stocked with drinks if required and tea and coffee making facilities
