On arrival the reception looks nice. I was informed that the bar was oprn all night for residents yet they turned the TV off at 11pm. The room was clean but starting to look tired with marks on the ceiling and walls. The corridor carpet is badly stained due to a radiator leak and the shower mount was barely hanging on. The full English was simple but nice.
Lovely room staff polite and friendly .No heating on arrival to our room but was soon rectified. Would have been a 5 out of 5 but very loud at night and in the morning Which kept us awake till early hours then up first thing once again by noise
Booked a night away through Groupon, on arrival was informed if we were willing to wait we would be allocated an updated room. On entering the room it was small and basic, the window overlooked a flat roof that someone had decided to dispose of a dirty nappy. The bathroom was so small and run down, but booked through Groupon so we thought nevermind it's quiet and in a great location. Car park was free and secure. When we returned later, we heard a loud buzzing noise on inspection it was the giant kitchen fans, but once again thought these would be off before we went to bed. We then heard music and realised we were over the bar and reception, the girl on reception said she would turn it down, on returning to our room it was no quiter. We tried to ring reception but the phone didnt work. They agreed to move us to a junior suite, this room was a better size but not cleaned to a good standard. The corridors smelt of stale cigarettes, it clearly states no smoking in any of the rooms, we let reception know, they said they would investigate. At 01.30am we were woken to banging on doors near to us, after 30 minutes of this not abating my partner got dressed and opened the door to be greeted by a man banging on the door oposite, my partner advised that if he couldn't wake his friend to ask reception for a key, which he did, but the constant door banging and disrespect continued throughout the night. The hotel has the potential to be excellent but work on the decoration and cleaning is required along with leadership and management. The Stuart is attracting some of the wrong people, you would had thought security would had been patrolling the corridors at night. On leaving and walking through the smell of cigarettes there was then a strong smell of Marijuana. Positives are the location and breakfast, which was freshly cooked and offered a great choice.
We have stayed here many time the location. And free parking attract us the rooms are always clean and the staff are helpful and it is competitively priced I would recommend a delux or junior suite as others maybe alittle small but they are ok
We stayed for our anniversary and were upgraded to a lovely big junior suite . The staff were all very helpful and lovely . Bed was clean and comfy . Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice .You cannot fault the position of the hotel as it just down the road from the intu shopping centre . Rooms and carpets are tired and need updating but the room felt homely and welcoming .
Charged us twice, the so called manager was very rude, got a refund after 3 weeks of phone calls & emails, the bathroom in our room very small, the end of the sink is sitting over the bath !!!, never again
I was given a room with a single bed which had a slant meaning it feels like you are going to fall out of bed. The room was stuffy I couldn't turn off the radiator as the thermostat was missing. The basin was cracked. The whole room looked tatty and tired. Not sure I'll return.
Stayed here with my partner and stepson between Christmas and new year. We booked two rooms. On arrival the lamp in my step sons room didn’t work and neither did the tv. Going into our room we discovered dirt and a thick black hair in the bed. Our room was upgraded with was fantastic and the reception was extremely apologetic, great staff maybe just check rooms before putting guests in them.
We stayed here for 2 nights and was disappointed with the room for the price paid. On arrival to the room we found it bloody freezing as it’s not double glazed and the heater didn’t work the bed was extremely uncomfortable and in our opinion the room was all set out wrong we tried to ring for room service but the phones were off so went to reception and ordered food 2 hours later and still no food they forgot us lol unfortunately we won’t be returning here but the staff are all friendly and very helpful.
I chose Best western because I stayed in Best Western in Chavennes-de-bogis, Geneva. I was happy I did because my stay was nice. The room was cozy, the hotel close to the city centre, check-in and check-out were simple and easy. The hotel staff were friendly too.
