We stayed here in August and would return. We paid for room only and didn't eat in the restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable, got what we paid for. A little tired maybe but suited our needs of a place to stay. Free parking on site and over the road from the station. Our room was on the ground floor by roadside so it was a little noisy but not awful.
Great rooms, helpful friendly staff. Very comfortable beds, had a great nights sleep. Own car park. We really enjoyed breakfast. I cannot fault this hotel. This was my first visit, and will definitely stay again. It was spotlessly clean.
stayed here for a night last sat , girls night out to see band at the hairy dog , we had twin room on ground floor , like fools we couldn't work out how to turn on lights in our room , staff passing room quickly helped out showing us how to use room key to work light s , the room intended for disabled persons was a little too warm for us so we asked for a fan which was instantly bought to room , a taxi was book by receptionist to take us to see the band , the night porter George was also lovely and at our late hour greeted us with a smile , every member of staff we passed weather cleaners in corridors or waiters , receptionist , always said hello the hotel was clean and breakfast was excellent , and it was great to not have to vacate room till 11am every hotel I've ever stayed in is 10 am check out , i would highly recommend this hotel for quality , good food , but most of all for the polite friendly staff that go the extra mile to ensure you feel welcome and you have a great stay
this year which is nearly over, was the 100 th anniversary of women joining the Wrens at HMS Dauntless, Burghfield Reading uk. and we all met up together, the Hotel was right opposite the train station, so not too far to walk and it was very nice., and it was also near to bus stops etc., not too far to walk to the shops on the Saturday afternoon. The hotels afternoon tea was scrum;ptious...
Stayed here for 2 nights for a family wedding nearby. The room was clean and very quiet and the staff were all very helpful too. It's in a very good location. The train station is over the road. 2 very good ale pubs about 5 mins walk heading out of the building to the left. (The Brunswick and The Alexandra Hotel) and plenty of Restaurants to the right with a local shop. Derby's main shopping centre is only about 10 minutes on foot as well. I came by car and there was ample parking out the back which was very handy! They lock the car park from about midnight to 6am so it is safe!
Very reasonably priced hotel in a good location (Close to Railway Station, town & best pub in Derby) If I had to nit pick, there was no bedside light on my side of the bed & there were three tea bags & three coffee sachets for a double room. Are we meant to fight over the other one? When we asked at reception they gave us lots more & said that it was policy. From the receptionists reaction you could tell that they also couldn't understand the policy? A big bonus is that the hotel has its own car park. Breakfast was just under a tenner & very plentiful & tasty. Staff friendly & helpful. I would stay here again.
Lovely hotel, great staff who always said "Good Morning" or "Hello" everytime you walked past. The room was cosy and the bed was comfortable! Ideal location for the railway station and its a 10minute walk into the city centre, or you have the choice of a frequent bus service for a good price into the city too.
What a fantastic hotel! All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and had the biggest bed I have ever seen (room 210, The Duke Suite). Everywhere was extremely clean and tidy. The function room looked amazing fit the wedding reception we were attending and the breakfast in the morning was exactly what we needed after a few drinks the night before. I would most definitely recommend staying here 😊
Pretty first time place in this hotel and got a warm welcome as usual. Look very excellent stay it is... So could be a best of this hotel is it, when we wished. How this is very dispointed old elevator not working! How can helps carry up stairs affect walk up affect pain right leg up?! 2 people advance to me carry up to first floor at last it. I hope they elevator will fix-it... Sadly, they've found the notice on the black book on the table... 'Elevator is out of order until further notice!' What a big disappointed is it. So I stay for 2nights and enjoy the hobbies, I went to Nottingham for shopping and visit art gallery and Chinese restaurant. We had a fantastic time this week. From check in to check out, I think a little fault the service or the hotel. Of course is a problem elevator is not works well. Bathroom quite luxury and clean, bed is very comfort to sleep. But is night time was bad behaviour out there noise the car past away from this hotel late in the morning, because of car is so loud roaring away from it!!! Anyway, finally is the last day I've got picking things out and then went checking clear off fine. So now... How go back out of here, when I checkout for last day today?!... I do try pull myself down stairs with heavy suitcases... Pretty terrible time way goes on! How awful do this elevator not working it is... All staff are attentive and professional. We had the Aston Court Hotel and loved it!! We will be back and soon. Thank you for Aston Court Hotel in thought, is lovely hot sunshine and very enjoyable holiday! WOW!!! ^_^
