We rented the property to attend a concert in Denver. The neighborhood is a mixture of old and new and walkable to local restaurants. The check in process went smoothly. Once we entered the property we were disappointed in the condition of the rental. The leather sofa had cracks from wear, the leather bar stools had tears in the leather, the glasses in the cupboards were not clean enough to use without first washing them, there were pieces of plastic and tape attached to the living room ceiling from a previous occupant's festivities, the carpet in the second upstairs bedroom had wine stains, and the roof top furniture was not as pictured in the property description. When I shared my concerns with the owner he admitted that there was plastic on the ceiling he couldn't reach and that the second bedroom rug had wine stains. He said that the furniture on the roof top had folding chairs. He denied that the furniture had cracks and holes and further suggested that if I was looking for luxury I should consider a hotel downtown. He was not aware that we had spent less than an hour at the property and already had found rooms downtown that were clean. I suggested he walk the property with me so I could share my concerns and he did not agree to that. I understand that when renting a property through Home Away or VRBO it is not the same experience as staying a 5 star hotel (although I have had some 5 star experiences with VRBO around the states and the world). To his credit the owner did process the refund of my security deposit shortly after the scheduled check out. If you are looking for a casual place to have a bachelor party or a boys weekend, this is your place. If you want a place that is well maintained you probably should look elsewhere.
