Smell in the room was horrid, dried feces in the toilet, refrigerator smelled, curdled milk left, horrible smell that could make you choke. Shower was not cleaned in a while. Room keys did not initially work, hotel grounds looked like a mess, I never slept there. I paid much much much more to stay in a room that was clean and I could rest easy. One look around the room, and I left and immediately looked for a new room elsewhere. I did not care about the cost, I just knew I couldn't stay there.
When I booked this hotel, I had little expectations due to the other bad reviews I had read. I knew that it was a cheap room and I figured there would be some sort of issue. Our room seemed nice when we checked in but later the first night the toilet continued to run after we flushed, and proceeded to flood the entire bathroom. We waited until morning to contact management, then we were told to "wait for maintenance man". After several hours of waiting, we went to front desk to complain about our bathroom not being fixed. Finally the man shows up, works on it for a couple of hours, says it is fixed...and then later the 2nd night, the same thing happened and the toilet flooded again. After this we requested a room change which we had to wait an entire day for. It was very inconvenient to have to go across the street to use restroom (there wasnt one in the lobby). I would not recommend this hotel, even with the cheap price.
First, the good: our room was actually quite spacious. A full-sized refrigerator, microwave, ample cabinets, bath/shower, iron, television, two beds. We had signed up for a one-bed, and due to a mix-up they upgraded us for free to the bigger room. Not bad at all. Disappointing: while the beds had been made upon our arrival, the room obviously received only a cursory cleaning: not even a sweeping of the floor or counters (dust and food were scattered throughout). A seven day stay, and not once was the room cleaned. Midway through the stay I took all the towels to the front desk and asked for clean replacements, which they were happy to give. Trash left outside the door was picked up, but I had to ask for new trash bags. And the internet connection, while free, was barely enough to receive email. The staff was a mixed bag; some were helpful, others seemed untrained. Having said all that, it was one of the cheapest hotels in the Denver area, so neither surprise nor disappointment. Would I stay there again? Possibly, if budget was a factor. Bottom line: it's a do-able stay. If you can afford a higher rate, do it; but it's not terrible.
