Had to check into a hotel late in the night, to catch a morning flight from T3. Shanti Palace met most of the criteria for such short stays...close to the airport Rs 270/- from T1 and Rs 100/- to T3 , Clean for the price , Okay bathrooms , Satisfactory breakfast. Don't take airport transfers ....you can save money using Ola. Don't expect a 4 star hotel standard @ Rs 3000/-. Online booking sites are cheaper than the hotel website.
Paid Rs 3050 for a night stay. Didnt think it was worth it. The rooms are far too small, there is hardly any place to even turn in the bathroom. The room was decent, bathrooms were clean, but over all quality feel etc was very average or below average. The buffet breakfast was poor. I chose this hotel to Lemontree which wd have costed me Rs. 1000 more. I now feel i should have paid 1000 more and stayed at LemonTree. In my opinion, this isnt worth more than Rs. 2000 per night. Didnt live up to the reviews on trip advisor.
A very comfortable and economical 3/4 star hotel 5 mins from Airport. Staff very friendly. Front desk very efficient and welcoming. I arrived early morning and early check in was arranged FOC! Food was very very good with large sizes. Rooms modern, clean and services top standard. Hotel has car for airport and this makes easy transfers
This is a nice hotel to stay for the short business trips. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its nearness to the airport. Its comfortable with all the necessary facilities in place. The rooms are neat and clean and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast was excellent with wide range of choices.
Check in was OK. I had reserved a double room with King/Queen bed. But, I was given a Twin room. I had to accept it as I was very tired and there was no other room available when I checked in. Rooms were cramped and I could hear the TV noise from the adjoining rooms. TV noise combined with the toilet flushing sound from the adjoining rooms made it very uncomfortable. Room was cold and damp. Bathroom could use better up-keeping. Fittings were old and rusty. Not recommended.
Stayed in Novemeber while visiting different parts of India, staff generally is good, rooms are sort of okish, appears it going through some renovation works etc, carpets in the walkway in floors we stayed does not do justice, as they are neither clean or maintained. Also front of house reception staff can do bit of customer freindly training, may be they dont think its needed as hotel seems to busy, atleast when we were staying. Gym requires a major upgrade its OK for a staying night here and there.
Have stayed here a couple times in the past. The past stays have been fairly uneventful. This time was different. A lot went wrong and the callous attitude of the staff showed! Checked into the room after 12 midnight for a 6hr stay, for which I was charged 1 day rent. The room had a strong smell of paint (I thought). After a while, I realized that the smell was quite strong. Tried to catch some sleep. To my horror, I noticed that there were millions of dead flied under the pillow! That is when it struck that the smell was of flit! On reporting this, they said they will send someone. No one came for 20 mins after which I went down. I was told that there is no other room avbl. They went to clean and came back after 20 more mins. They had cleaned and sprayed room freshener. I gave up and went back to sleep in the smae room. Suddenly the stench came again, this time, much stronger! This caused both nausea and headache! On complaining again, I was given a replacement room after 30 mins! By then I had puked all my dinner out! In the morning, there was no hot water. The plumber who came to attend, insisted that it was on its way from the boiler, but it never came! I had a to take a shower in luke warm water. Towels were synthetic and did not wipe at all! No tea bags in teh room! After all this, the receptionist had no courtesy to even apologize!
Affordable prices, very helpful staff,Neat and clean rooms with amazing food!. Close enough to the airport and main highway. Very good breakfast and plenty to eat. We had just arrived in Delhi and this was the perfect start. Thank you.
Rooms are well maintained, Bathrooms too are good.Food is tasty but overpriced.Bar menu is also priced almost at par with airport. location is good. feasible to get taxi for airport 24 hrs. overall its good property. book it online as rack rate is too high.
A good hotel in a real neighbourhood. There's a vegetable market just round the corner. The hotel is clean and well equpped. Nice touch of a bottle of water in the room and the morning paper at the door. The Shadipur metro station is just behind the hotel. I will definitely stay there again.
