Me and my crew were there for work and stayed the week. The rate was definitely worth it and the room was also nice. We had to extend our stay, and we were able to keep the same room. The beds were nice, and the room was cleaned like it was supposed to be. The guest laundry was also a great plus and the hotel is very to close to the Pilot truck stop. I’ll be sure to stay there if i’m ever in Decatur again!
Great price and location. Easy access and recently renovated so it was very clean. The bed was a tad on the hard side but was nice that the windows opened. Nothing like a nice breeze to put you to sleep. For a low cost hotel option, I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was clean but it smelled like a nursing home in the lobby. The staff was not friendly the lady working nights didnt get away from the computer in the corner to help reset the coffee machine. The breakfast was cold I'm not even sure she attempted to heat the bacon. This was my first stay in this brand of hotel and I won't be too anxious to try it again. Maybe they should learn what hospitality means!
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were very clean. Everyone was so nice, and very helpful upon request. I would recommend more people to stay there. The breakfast was fantastic! Lots of great choices. I always check to make sure the room is nice and clean before I stay in the room and it was beyond our expectations. Thankyou sleep inn staff for giving me the opportunity to enjoy my stay. I will be staying again.
I gave it a two instead of a one, because the lobby seemed nice. Even though I had confirmation # in a text message, email and app-they did not have a reservation. To not have a reservation, the night before the solar eclipse-when every hotel in southern Illinois was booked-was not a good thing! The two young girls at the front desk at 3pm on 08/20/2017, were apathetic at best. No offer to try and find another place, no offer to get a manager-whether in person or on the phone-no sincere apology. Not sure what happened but at least I had help through booking.com to find us a hotel. Sleep Inn customer service is lacking. I think maybe they could use more training.
Me and my family member overnight stayed here we are going to State fair in Springfield IL. My kids tried so decide to stay. Room was cleaned shower was so good. Very easy to find location just right of exit. In morning start with good breakfast Lot of choice. Staff are very nice helpful Specially Mike and Cindy out of their way. I will definitely stay here again.
We came in from out of state for a family members funeral. We stayed 3 nights. Rooms were nice and clean. Reasonable price for our stay which included breakfast however we did not eat it. It was nice and quiet. Hallway near our rooms smelled like someone smoked in the hallway when we walked in. We do not smoke.
I had came to the Sleep Inn, expecting just another hotel but I went to this hotel and as soon as I walked in I knew I was going to have a good experience considering the lady at the desk was very helpful and quick, she was also very friendly and helped me to all my needs. I got up to my room and the first thing I do when I go to a hotel is check the cleanliness of the room so I went to the toilet and shower area and everything was very clean and hair free. I went to unfold the bed covers and they were also very clean, breakfast was very good and filling and I even asked for a specific time for the housekeeping to clean my room and they got right on it! Amazing staff and cleanliness, will be back.
The hotel was freshly updated w new everything. Staff was great. Until we had to shower the next morning. We had no water! We call the front desk and they said "Oh I'm sorry. Sometime when we fill up the hot tub the water shuts off and we don't know why!" WHAAAT?!?! That doesn't make sense... but the water came in a few minutes later and in the middle of my shower it shut off again! My husband calls again and they respond "I'm so sorry. The plumber has been out but we just can't figure out why this is happening!! But your more then welcome to come down here and use the pool locker room shower?!?!" Are you serious right now?? I'm in the middle of my shower... can u please turn the water back on!!! There was no reason of why this was happening. The place , staff and the free breakfast was great. If you don't plan on taking a shower while your there.
I've waited 5 days for management to contact me without a peep so disinterest in customer experience can be added to the list below. 1. It took over 30 minutes to wake up the night clerk so we could check in. I finally called from the lobby phone and she appeared from around the corner. 2. During check-in, she stated, "it looks like someone screwed up and put people in your room". Upon handing me the keys, she told me to come back down if someone was in my room (at 1 am). I DID make her go check the room first. 3. The carpet was filthy including pebbles and grass. 4. The shower took forever to get warm. Then the water stopped running several times during the shower. When I inquired in the morning, I was told that they were aware of the issue and trying to get it fixed. 5. During check-out, I experienced the adherence to the pet policy: 2 pet limit/up to 30 lbs each...as I 200+ lb Saint Berhard almost ran me over in the lobby followed by 3 Corgies running over my feet as I tried to enter the elevator. AND THE BEST FOR LAST...housekeeping was kind enough to leave half of a Viagra tablet on the nightstand from the previous guests! Clearly a very disappointing experience. Good luck if you opt to stay there.
