Super 8 - Spearfish

very pleasant - hot tub should be cleaned (total foam when the jets were on) - pool was great though.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful and our experience was awesome. We are recommending to friends and family. Conveniently located off the interstate and by many sites.

Great value if you want a clean, inexpensive, quiet, friendly hotel. Not fancy but the beds were very comfy and our kids loved the pool!

We had to make a quick trip and were tight on funds, so we chose this hotel as it was the nicest hotel with the lowest price per room. They had free wifi (even though it was in and out) and breakfast. They didn't however specify that there was no elevator. So when we were given a room on the 3rd floor and I was informed I (a pregnant woman) had to carry all our luggage, a baby, and all the baby gear up three flights of stairs, I was not impressed. That made the stay not as pleasant, but the room was okay. The pool area was nice, too. Also, we brought leftovers from dinner one night and put them in the minifridge in the room, and the next day when we opened it, the smell almost made me sick. We didn't realize the minifridge wasn't even cold. So check before putting food in there. The staff was friendly, and the waffles were delicious. We would stay again, but we'd be requesting a ground level room for sure.

perfect top location to ride bikes from beginning to ride loops of the roads around the national forest. Stayed 5 days and rode approx 7 hours a day. The hot tub was a welcome sight for tired and sore muscles. Could have had more choices in the breakfast lounge but did eat well. Special thanks to Roxanne for all the help and knowledge of the area she sure made the roads less confusing. Would def. stay there again. (maybe next year)

Everything was adequate. Complimentary breakfast was ok. There are no rooms on the entry level or check in floor. We had my 91 year old mother with us and had to go up one flight of stairs. No elevator so she needed some help. Maybe some mention of that in the information would be of help for others. If I were traveling without her I would stay here again.

We liked the stay in this Super 8, the sign is clear for the direction, the room is clean and location is very convenient,

Staff was very prompt with getting all of the customers to a safe location during a tornado warning

The staff was excellent! They helped us with a screw up that happened threw the company that i booked through at no extras charge. The company that i booked through would have charged us to fix their mess up. The staff was very kind and helpfull.

Good sized room with good water pressure and lots of hot water in the shower, but slow Internet speed. The front desk staff was very helpful. All the rooms (3 floors) were grouped around the large indoor pool and hot tub. Wooden construction and the floors creaked a bit. All in all, a very nice place to spend the night.

It was a decent motel, it is what you would expect from a super 8 not overtly modern but decent none the less.

Great location, very comfortable beds, great shower. Staff were very helpful especially as we checked in after 10.30pm. Rooms are a really good size. Breakfast was good quality and range on offer. Would definitely stay here again.

. When we got there, the clerk had half of the hotel empty, but couldn't accomodate a room on the bottom floor (there are no elevators or valets to help with bags.) They put us on the 3rd floor. Since I had booked with with a third party, she told me she could not help with the reservation at all. When I went to the room, (we had booked and paid extra for a king bed, a microwave and a refrigerator), the room had 2 queen beds with no room to move and no mircrowave and no refrigerator. I went back down to the desk, and she said they had overbooked, and there were no rooms available with those accomodations. After a 25 minute discussion and upset, I demanded a room with a refrigerator and microwave, she finally gave us one on the first floor, but it still had no king bed, only 2 queens and the room was so full, you couldn't turn around. Didn't expect the HIlton, just a room with what I paid for in it.

I highly recommend this hotel for the Sturgis Rally. We had a jacuzzi suite, and it felt wonderful after a long day of bike riding. The room was clean, cool, and the indoor pool was a nice bonus. The coffee was great and the free breakfast really helped our budget. Great location and very friendly staff. We plan to stay here again next year.

Loved everything except thin walls. For price great!

Great staff! Clean room! Great location! Couldn't ask for more for the price I paid!

Very ordinary. Highway exit from the west directs you ten miles north in wrong direction, you will return ten miles south and then take another exit a few more miles down I-90. Get location info before arrival.

Our unexpected experience began when we arrived at the desk. We reserved the larger suite and confirmed a second time with a personal call to them a week before. When we arrived and spoke to the person at the counter they said we have to move you to a standard room because when you book through a thrid party like Orbitz thats the chance you take. Then went on to say: They (Orbitz) always overbook us and we did our best to get you a room period and made it sound like we should just be greatful we had a room. I asked if some sort of refund was available and again they nastily referred to the thrid party booking through orbitz and said to take it up with them. Thankfully we got our reserved room the next day but.... All our luggage had to moved the next day but only after the party there checked out after 11:00. Later that night we discovered the queen beds were actually double or full size and not what we paid for. When we asked the manager about the bed size she said: according to the company we ordered them from they are queen size. I promise they were not queen size beds! Again no jester of refund or compensation. Our room had a sitting area with 2 recliners. One had a white stain on the seat cushion (crotch area) and was never cleaned. We through a towel over it, Uuck! I would never recommend this Super 8 motel in Spearfish S.D. to anyone. If you go good luck, you will need it! We will probably report them to the Better Business Bureau.

hotel was worth the money. staff was courtious, would stay again.
