My son and his family and other family members reserved 2 rooms for 5/21-26. I decided to go to with my sister so I booked a room to the same time. My reservation got messed up so me and my sister had to stay at the Budget Inn for Sunday night because you could not get us a room for the 21st. It was horrible to say the least. When we checked in the next day at Grand Seas it was like the difference between night and day. I ended up with a studio for us but it was fantastic. It was so clean and bright. The view from the window was magnificent. It was my first time seeing the ocean. I hated that I had missed one day of this. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish I could afford to come back every year. My son is a repeat customer and I hope to be too. And I have to tell you that the kitchen was the best stocked one that I have ever seen in a hotel. Now I wish I had taken the tour about the timeshares. I would be interested in it now.

The view to the ocean was amazing you couldn't ask for anything better. It was so nice and clean

We were very pleased with our room and with the property. View of the ocean was very good. Although there are no balconies, the window opens so you can enjoy the ocean sounds and view. Full kitchen with ice maker was excellent. Will return for another stay.

Room was nice and roomy. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool areas were always clean and easy accessible. 3 pool areas and each was always cleaned. Staff was cleaning and touching up paint where needed. Indoor pool was nice and warm, when the night got chilly. Very convenient to shopping and just a short drive to all of the attractions.we drove 12 hours and even though check in was at 4, staff let us checking early. Great stay with kids, so much to do and keep them occupied. From the mini golf to the kiddie pools to the ocean.

I only stayed two nights but enjoyed the simple room with full kitchen ameneties and the pool and tiki bar were awesome.

Stayed second week of Feb 2017. We got an excellent price for our stay, so there was no comparison to the surrounding options. It appears that this was a great resort that seems to have lapsed a bit in maintenance and, under new management, is now on the return to former glory. As mentioned ,we got an excellent deal for our stay so in perspective of the price we were extremely happy with all facets of our visit to Grand Seas by Exploria. There are countless staff and admin. all continuously working to ensure a pleasant environment. Staff was polite, pleasant, attentive and ubiquitously present. Calls to front desk and concierge services are handled courteously and promptly. The property is beautifully manicured in its common areas but some small details in the room could have been slightly better. There are dozens of renovations and improvements taking place throughout the property. Given sufficient time and money, this resort could become one of the premier locations in this area and class of accommodation. Conclusion: If you get a good price for your stay this is a great option.

Nasty rooms especially bathrooms. Mold in grout and caulking. Generally dirty throughout. Beautiful pools and decks with amazing views. Great for strapped family but a shame the rooms are gross because the property outside is stellar

No AC for3 days odor in room first day missing utensils must have been older room

Unfortunately, our stay here was very short. We were scheduled to arrive Friday by midnight and to check out on Sunday. We got in due to a late flight overlay which was caused by deicing the plane in Atlanta. We arrived at 4:30 am in the morning. All we wanted was a good view of the ocean, hot shower and a comfortable bed. None of these things were achieved at this Grand Seas. Called the hotel operator and reported our findings and was told to let the water run for a half hour :(. Very disappointed and just could not sleep due to the foul mildew smell in the room. Will never stay there again. We couldn't endure it and checked out the same day at noon. A refund should be generated for the poor room accomodations. Very dissappointed.

Walls were so thin you could hear conversations on both sides of you, bed had springs that needed WD40, ac unit shook and we had to wedge something so it wouldn't keep us up. There was only one elevator due to work to improve the other one. OSHA would not approve of the way construction was being handled either. Oh, no wifi in room was extremely dissapointing. The only positive things to say is that it was located on the beach and there were jacuzzis.

Hotel facilities too old although under renovation. However, not even a small sign indicating they were renovating. Once I got there, my reserved room was not available and I was given a different room. Housekeeping work was not performed one night. I had to go downstairs and pick up my own clean towels.

Staff was great, especially Ken at the front desk! Awesome location and rooms. Wish the pools were heated because they are gorgeous but icy. We look forward to staying again!

Over all a good experience! Had a little issue at check in but it was resolved promptly.

I enjoyed my stay.Everyone was helpful and friendly.Too bad the resterant was closed for remodeling.I wil stay here again.shopping center across the street was handy.

The staff was very customer service friendly, room very clean. I enjoyed my stay and will visit grand seas resort in the future.

I saw a few bad reviews,so I was skeptical. Everything was good though. We arrived early, but they let us check in anyway. Part of the resort has been remodeled, and part hasn't. They had us in a room that hadn't been remodeled, so I asked for one that had, and they switched us to one that was. The resort is right on the beach, and even though the first floor is the only one with a terrace, they have the rest of the rooms set up so you can open the huge window in your room, and smell the ocean air. They keep the pools and jacuzzis really clean. We saw them checking the water, and cleaning them everyday we were there. Maid service come every day, but still the floors were left a little sandy, but being directly on the beach,I guess that's to be expected. You can take your own towels to the towel exchange room, and exchange them. That's good too, because if you're like us, you take them to the beach and are left with no towels for the next day because they are so sandy. There is a grocery store, and a Subway right across the street, and a restaurant in the hotel. There were no bugs in our room, and the bed was "bed bug" free, which is a major biggie for me. We were right above one of the two outdoor pools, but when it got night time the lights at the pool went out,and it was quiet. Now, I'm not saying the resort is perfect, it is an older building that does have a few things going on with it like....the elevator that we rode in the most ,certificate had expired August 1, 2014,our refrigerator in our room leaked, The parking leaves something to be desired, especially if you drive a big vehicle like we do,the outside halls are small and need better lighting, and a few more small things, but nothing that would ruin a vacation. All in all, it was a pretty good stay, but If you have more than 3 in your party, I would suggest booking the one bedroom instead of the studio, because it is kinda small.

Bathroom lights didn't work, a/c had to he fixed, hall closet door was stuck open, the floor felt like it had a bucket of sand on it, one of the pools looked dirty, the game room took our money and they wouldn't refund it, need I go on? Would have to be desperate to stay there again!! Would not recommend!

I really enjoyed my week here and the view from the room was awesome only thing I didn't care for was one of the lady at the front desk when we checked in and the laundry lady was very very rude

Staff was wonderful. Had an issue with the bed and staff fixed problem within 15 minuted

I am so grateful that I disregarded previous reviews on this resort and did NOT cancel our reservations!! I have 3 teenagers (19,18,& 15) and we had the time of our lives!! The staff at the front desk were very helpful and accomodating to our needs and when I checked in, I shared with the manager my concerns with what I had read on line about the house keeping staff stealing money, which we had no issues at all, but each room has a safe and is programmed with your own pass code! I was also concerned about hidden fees at the time of checkout, they put a hold on your credit card for $50 ,like insurance, in case you leave with damages to their property, and is never charged unless it is necessary at check out (ie. parking for 6 days) which is very resonable in my eyes, and there is a $3.00 fee per day for parking, it's a total convenience!! Try parking at the pier for 2-3 hours and see how much they charge you, haha! We were so impressed with the staff all over the resort! Friendly, helpful, curtious, and went out of there way to make up feel at home, if we needed anything, it was taken care of immediately... The room and view was gorgeous and honestly, there was not one thing we could find negative to say about the Grand Seas Resort! There were activities if you wanted to be involved , two large out door pools, with plenty of pool lounges to go around, hot tubs, indoor pool and hot tub, work out facility, steam room, putt putt, and am sure there were other amenities we weren't able to partake in because we ran out of time on our get away! We absolutely loved our experience at this resort and won't even look for another place to stay when we head to Daytona again, I'm wanting to book our stay there again next year very soon!! Thank you to the staff at the Grand Seas Resort for our wonderful time !!! It was truly a vacation we will never forget!!
