Hotel is on the beach. Undergoing nenovations following storm last October. Staff is friendly but somewhat confused. Parking is free but spots are tight

The most ugly decorating I've ever seen in a hotel!! I've been there before but since they redecorated and remodeled it's worse than before. I was supposed to have a oceanview room with a balcony but the only ocean I could we was if I hung off the balcony and craned my neck as far as I could. I was so disappointed.

My room with one King bed was directly on the ocean with window view. Everything was clean with newly mopped floor. I understand that this inn is under renovation. I liked the new bathroom and shower. The furniture in the room desk, drawers and even the bed were very old and in bad shape with many ugly chips and dings. While the bed mattress was comfortable, I would NOT have this furniture in my home, it was that bad. Hopefully as part of the ongoing renovation this furniture will be discarded!

Needed a place for one night and the place is basic but very clean and would stay there again.

Over all decent place to stay , room was clean decent breakfast added some new pool chairs the day we left

Location was great. Room was clean. Did smell very musty but front desk staff was very helpful with bringing air fresheners very quickly. Hotel was old looking and in need of repairs. But it was in a good location, on the beach and close to everything. Parking was a bit hairy at times. Overall a good place to lay your head at night.

I was in town for an event at the Daytona Speedway. I just wanted a place to crash - arrive late evening and depart before dawn the next day for the speedway. A one night stay. It was the cheapest room I could find. That was my only criteria. Location was right on the beach. I didn't care. TV didn't work. I didn't care. My view was of a wall. I didn't care. Maybe that's why it was cheap. Some rooms faced the beach directly and surely had great views. Dark blue carpet was worn to white threads in one small area. I didn't care. Paint on two door frame was chipped/worn/damaged. I didn't care. Closet door had been removed and you could see the bare cut wood where the hinges had been. I didn't care. Room was clean. No smells. Furnishing were adequate. I even had a small kitchenette that I neither needed not wanted and which I never used. Free continental breakfast started at 7:30 AM. Too late for me. I was gone by then. I had a comfortable night's sleep and I'll probably stay there again next year. Very hard for me to give numerical ratings for my stay. What you see ought to be considered as arbitrary.

Pleasantly surprised - I even extended for another 5 days. It's typically beach worn, but sheets & room were clean. Great beach access. Mattress wasn't most comfortable, but not horrible. At the price it was overall a good bargain and exceeded my expectations.

Our room was half put together! No closet to hang things up. Linens were dingy and dirty and when we asked housekeeper to change linens, he used the same dirty linens and just changed the direction of the sheets. The male housekeeper also did not sweep the floor, clean the coffee maker or throw out trash on July 15. The lady who cleaned on July 16 did a great job!

Upon arriving, we noticed that the parking lot is partially enclosed by the hotel and it is very poorly lit. The exterior hotel room doors face said parking lot and we felt that this was not a very safe setup. When we entered the lobby (or lack thereof - it's just a small room with a check in desk) it took a few minutes for a staff member to realize we were there and come out of the office (she was on her phone). Our room was as clean as it could be. It didn't have central heating/air (window unit only). It was hot and smelled VERY musty. The furniture was mismatched and shabby. The coffee maker didn't work and we didn't bother trying the microwave as it looked about 20 years old. The bathroom was ok. It looked like it had been recently updated. The ONLY great thing about this hotel is the location. We feel that the location did not outweigh the safety concern and the terrible-smelling room, so we won't be back.

Hotel was great. I needed two rooms and when I called to explain that one of the rooms was for my grand daughter and a couple of her friends because it was her 16 birthday, the front desk moved their room to two away from mine. Everyone was courteous and the rooms both had a beautiful view of the Ocean. Wish I could have stayed a couple more days.

Staff was mostly friendly and The room was clean which is important to me, but we were there 3 days and had no wifi. We asked all 3 days to get it resolved and if never was. We were able to pick up a signal from the neighboring hotel from the pool. Also, we booked an ocean view room, and they gave us a room with a great view of the parking lot... Technically, You could see the ocean if you laid your head on the window and looked left while standing on your toes...definitely going to book a different place next time.

The hotel had obviously been recently renovated. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable. The shower stall and overhead shower head were fantastic, made getting up in the morning a pleasure. The location was fantastic and the people running the facility were wonderful. I had to wait quite some time for a cab one night and had the opportunity to speak with Iona, at the front desk, who was charming. I will be booking here again next year.

not worth it! just not worth the money at all very disappointed

When I was online looking for a room, I made sure that I got a BEACHFRONT king size bed. It took some time considering I waited until the last minute but I found one finally. So I get to the hotel and go to check in and the guy at the front counter wanted to argue with me over the room. Because the room he had me assigned to was NOT a beach front, it also had 2 DOUBLE BEDS!!!! To make a long story short I had to pay extra money for a 1 king 1 queen beach front because it was all he had left... Was highly upset I had to spend more money on a room that I was not impressed with.

Staff was wonderful and friendly. The room was nice and quit. Just a wonderful stay for the money, will be going back there next year.

In process of much needed facelift. The rooms are worn, however the pool and location, you cant beat it.

This place needs a lot of work. Clean enough & good location, nice ocean view. However our room had dead receptacles. wall switches that had no function, stained tub, no sink stopper and patched walls. The wi fi only worked at the window or the balcony and was spotty at best. Parking was abysmal and half the nights the inbound entrance was blocked by parked cars. The fridge door was sprung and the microwave very rusty. Very nice pool and deck area. Worker using power washer sprayed water and paint chips on pool side sunbathers.

Nobody at registration desk on checking in at 9:30PM, construction/remodeling going on-- landscaping is muddy dirt. Noisy rooms--- had to turn fan on continuous to mask sounds of couple arguing in room next door. Unsate place---- you are locked out of main building at night---- must use your hotel key to open door! This is a serious fire hazard!! Without your room key to get into stairwell--- your option is to jump off the balcony if a fire erupts in your section. But the hotel staff claims this is how it has been for 60 years-- and the fire marshall approves. Breakfast-- ran out of waffle batter--- and was told they would make more tomorrow........... does not help me today! Great location---- but pass this place up.... they will give you a better price if you call directly than any of the Internet sites.......... but I would not trust them with my credit card info.

Great price for a gorgeous, beachfront locale. The hotel does need a lot more upgrading, but owners are doing improvements. Pool area is nice. Divas and high-maintenance patrons stay elsewhere. You will do nothing but make fellow travelers weary with your complaining. If you want a decent room right on the beach (and you're not a snob), this is the place for you.
