In the heart of Darwin, Palm City is a tropical haven. We loved the bungaloo unit, with the pool just steps away. The bungaloo had all the necessities including a towel for the pool. Its an economical room choice but the smaller room has its own deck with table and chairs, and is well laid out with kitchen sink refrig, toaster, microwave and dishes.There was even a can of insect spray in the closet! I wished we had stayed longer.
Mini fridge works great and even the freezer part actually freezes (kept ice frozen). You can request ice from the front desk. Wifi works great. Convenient location...short walk down to the waterfront as well as going the other way to Mitchell St. You can hear crowd noises when sports game is on but it was fairly muted and didn't bother us.
Stayed here many times hands down the best place whilst in Darwin. Get a villa tropical villas are best, though the duplex villas are nice as well.
The 1 bedroom unit was small, but well equipped. We were just across from Parliament building and there was quite a lot of street noise.
