Very comfy beds. Best sleep I’ve had in months. Nice shower. Although rates were up due to the SoBo race; but it’s worth it!

I have stayed at this hotel in the past and was always very pleased. This past visit was very disappointing. My guest and I arrived to check in after 8pm and we’re in a rush for a family gathering. We didn’t arrive back until after 1AM. There was no one at the desk to assist us at that time. The room was not cleaned properly. The bed sheets and bath towels had visible dirt on them. The refrigerator was dirty and had rust on the inside and outside. The bolt lock on the room door was hanging off. There was hair all in the shower. It was an uncomfortable first night. The next morning we complained to the manager. They did of course agree to clean to room, but also stated we shouldn’t complain because the issues were being addressed. I felt that was an inappropriate response and I told the manager that I have the right to complain as the room shouldn’t have been in that condition in the first place.
Everyone that l did have contact with was very friendly.
