My first impression was, parking sucked! My children and I almost took a dive twice separately while walking in and out of the parking lot with all of our bags and the 2 babies, because the snow had not been shoveled or salted for de-icing. When we got in the lobby only one door worked, not helpful at all with a large family with multiple bags. The customer service although was great and quick. The room was nice and clean as to be expected, but I think the room was a smoking room because it smelled of smoke for some reason even though we were supposed to be on the non smoking floor. The elevators were as slow as molasses and really outdated! The bed though was extremely comfortable. I fell out like a light on them. The plumbing needs work, because while taking a shower the tub filled up like I was running a bath and took forever to go down for the next person to use. The TV guide that was printed and provided was incorrect also. I guess for the low price I got what I paid for... the continental breakfast though was a nice kiss goodbye before our checkout.
I had to stay the night due to some heating issues in my home. I am a local business man that USED to refer a lot of people to this motel. At about 1 AM I was woke up with banging on the door it was a Domino’s delivery driver trying to deliver a pizza to the room next-door. I called the front desk and the customer service lady acted like it was nothing for somebody to be woke up at 1 AM. She said that she can’t stop the delivery drivers from coming up and delivering food to people’s motel room. I said I understand that but would it make more common sense for the delivery driver to stop at the front desk First and have the customer service representative call the room so the delivery drivers are not beating on doors and waking other guest up! I even talked to the manager the next morning and she acted like it was no big deal. So in closing if you want to good night sleep this is not a motel To stay at.
You get what you pay for most times, but I definitely didn't even get that. Here for Fathers weekend at U of I and other hotels booked. Last resort for a hotel was 30 minutes away and 35 miles out from school. That's my fault for procrastinating. From the permanent hotel renters (weekly renters) to the scary elevator ride up to my floor I was setting myself up for what the room was like. I always check for bed bugs and other crawlers of the night.... found none to my surprise. The yellowish white sheets were hidden away from sight by the bedding that they must of gotten from a 1970's hotel garage sale amongst other hotel decor. Behind every piece of furniture I found things such as Pizza rolls, sock, used napkins, dorito crumbs everywhere especially in ac/heat combo. This was the pleasant side of room. The bathroom had shower curtains that had a tag on it saying "going green" or something along those lines, but they forgot the colors red, brown, black and yellow... shower curtain was disgusting which leads to a hairy and filmy tub. (If a gas station had a shower, this would be that shower). I had no other options but to sleep here, but I showered at my sons Dorm (this should tell you how disgusting the bathroom was). Told desk twice to clean room, but came back to same room. Never utilized anything but the roachfree beds. Didn't waste my any valuable time I had with my son by staying and arguing about room. Glad I was offered this survey via my email. I obviously had time to discuss further now.
The room was spacious and clean with updated appliances. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a first floor room, but was not bothered by foot traffic or noise. All in all a pretty good night and was well rested for the morning.
My stay at this Days Inn in Danville, IL was horrible. The internet and cable TV didn't work half the time was constantly going in and out. House keeping never changed the bedding only made the bed and I was told that I had to be out of my room before 1pm or else they would not clean the room at all and they didn't. When I spoke to the manager, Hitesh Bhalavat, about my room he told me no hotel has a cleaning staff that work then a 9am -1pm shift all around the world. He said it was my fault my room wasn't cleaned and he was not sending any one in to clean it because I didn't leave my room until 1pm. And he was yelling at me for even asking to have the sheets changed and said they changed the sheets everyday I was there. I told him they were not and he called me a liar and said they were. I had a cigarette burn on the sheets in a non smoking room and showed him the picture that was there for 4 days. I felt I was treated poorly, was disrespected by this manager and the service overall was extremely poor. I called and filed a complaint with corporate reference #3937308.
the friendly staff free breakfast was not bad but no donuts, the place was clean, but the could use a fresher new look the thing the look like nothing been upgraded since the 80's, our room smelled like someone smoke it the room.
Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Room Price was reasonable. Being close to all our family we came to see was very convenient. Breakfast needs improvement. We chose to go out to eat instead. Shower head was positioned very low make no it very difficult for my 6 foot husband to shower.
Per the technicians the stay was ok. The problem we had was with the check out policy. I reserved an extra night for the technicians but they had to check out early due to circumstances with the project they worked on in the area. The technicians checked out on 10/18/17 between 11:15 AM and 11:45AM which check out time is 11:00 AM and we were still charged a full day. I understand if we were only charged half of the $70.00 or a late check out fee but the front desk person did not give us that option he was very rude and unprofessional.
Just an ordinary night. I was working. I was tired. I was looking for a place to stay. They had a place to stay. I stayed. I don't need 25 words to say all this.
Owners are remarkable and devoted to their guests. They have worked extra hard to renovate their hotel and my guests appreciated every bit. I am a Danville native and this spot has a bad wrap, HOWEVER with all of the improvements and extra consideration of the owners it SHOULD be the place to be! "
