Decent property and comfortable room, only stayed one night.
I had booked a two bed room they gave us a room with one bed and a sleeper sofa, the sofa mattress was so uncomfortable we had to change back to a couch and sleep on it, the second is there was no hot water to take a shower, trying calling front desk but the room phone was not working, I used my cell phone to call the hotel and no one answered, so I went to the front desk so that they can fix the problem or give us another room to shower in but they said they were completely sold out and that she was gonna reset the boiler and to let the water run for a few minutes, but still no hot water, so I called from desk again and she finally answered and told me she was gonna reset the boiler again in which they were having problems with, I waited for about 20 minutes and the water started to get warm, as soon as I got in the shower the water got cold again and had to take a cold shower, I called the front desk again to let them know about the problem and a employee had just came to work, I explained my situation to her and she said everything was working good, I told her that was incorrect and I had spoke to the other employee and she told me there was boiler issues and she finally admitted that several hotel guests had the same problem. Third of all the usb ports in the room weren’t working so we couldn’t charge our phones, I always book my trips with Orbitz but honestly I’m disappointed, this was the worst hotel experience I ever had, I would like a full refund!
The hotel needs a little updating and carpet cleaning. The inside of the room was clean, but there was an initial unpleasant odor.

This is listed as a Holiday Inn Express (HIE) but it’s just a standard Holiday Inn. The staff is friendly and they all know the area well enough to recommend decent food and activities. However, the rest of the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. The photos used for this location are of an HIE and do not match the look of the actual facility. The lobby is upgraded and nice but as soon as you walk down the hall to the rooms, the air smells of mold, mildew, and smoke. The carpet is terribly stained throughout, and the bathrooms in the rooms are on par with a motel. Also, the towels feel extremely rough and old as if they have been in rotation for at least 3-5years or maybe that’s the result of a cheap detergent. I highly recommend you spend an extra $50-100 on a hotel that is not arguably in violation of multiple health codes.
We had to wait an hour and 45 minutes fir our room to be ready. We wanted to watch the Olympics, but could not get NBC on our room tv. We asked for help, but no one from the front tried to help. On the 3rd try, they set up a maintenance person who just gave us a new remote, that was exactly like the one we had. We did mot get to watch the Olympics. The bathroom had hair in the tub and there were bugs on the window sill and on our bed. The shades would not open at all during our stay. Will not return to this hotel.
Very clean room, decent pool, and wonderful and helpful staff
Great room but bathroom was a little dirty
When I went to take a shower there was no hot water at all. I let the water run for several minutes hoping it would warm up but it never did. I called the front desk to let them know of the issue. The man I spoke to told me to run the water for 15 minutes and he would check the boiler room. The water did finely get warmish for a couple of minutes then cold again. I called back to be told they would solve the problem. The next morning there was still no hot water. Needless to say an ice cold shower was not a good start to the day. Also at 1:00 a.m random strangers were beating on the door to our room. This isn't anything the hotel could have prevented I'd say. It was just very scary to my young daughter and myself.
The hotel from the outside to the inside area (lobby...eating area...etc.) were nice and clean. The staff was awesome, but when it came down to my room...it was so spectacular...especially with it being almost $100 a night. The refrigerator didn't work...the water barely ran...the lamp flicked off and on...other then that...everything else was fine
I was for some reason given a room for a disabled person, although I did not request this accommodation. Upon entering the room, I noticed the shower was dirty due to a rusted shower seat creating a puddle if brown water. Although they came to clean it, the puddle returned every day. I requested another room, but none was available. I had to take wash offs instead. If this is the condition of a room for a disabled person, it is deplorable.
Good value for the money. Hotel and room were clean. Good Location. Good for leisure travel, it would not be good for business travel since the WIFI is extremely slow and the connection is hit or miss. Overall a good experience, I would stay there again.
Hotel was great. Clean, friendly, good hot breakfast. Was a quick drive to downtown and to SMU.
