The entire first floor was under construction. The breakfast suspose to start at 6:30. No food was put out until 7:15. From 6:30 until 6:40 no one was at the from desk. Not very happy with our stay. I tried for several minutes to call the front desk the night of our stay but no one answered.

I decided on the Hawthorn Suites because we needed 24 hr airport shuttle. They did great! The lobby was in the middle of a remodel, but our room was nice - big, comfortable and equipped for an extended stay. I LOVED the mattress!!! We returned a week later and had another good experience.

We booked this hotel online and when we arrived to check in, the entire area was under construction. It was dusty and didn't have a lobby to sit and wait for the shuttle, family, etc. Our bathroom had a lightbulb burned out the first day but it was fixed immediately after I contacted the front desk. The breakfast was ok, had the essentials. The rooms were clean and updated and comfortable. I wish we had known about the construction when we booked the room, as it was inconvenient for our stay. The shuttle service was amazing as the driver was very friendly and knew exactly where we needed to go.

We missed our connection flight in Dallas so we had to find a place to spend the night. I booked this on Orbitz.com 6:45 PM. There is no information for the shuttle online I called the hotel for two hours straight and no one picked up. I thought this hotel was fake because there was no information for The shuttle and there was no one picking up the phone. We finally got a hold of someone at 9:30 at night. They said that the shuttle would be on their way it was 20° out and we waited outside dressed for Cabo because the person on the phone said the driver was at our gate waiting for us. We waited outside for 30 minutes going in and out to try and get warm from the terminal. We finally got to the hotel around 1015. When we got there I asked why I had not answer the phone for over two hours and they said "it is not their policy to answer the phone while there is somebody at the desk." I think that's a ridiculous policy because someone who is actually their guest was standing at the airport waiting For three hours. This was a horrible experience and it was a terrible start work for three hours. This was a horrible experience and it was a terrible start our trip.

The hotel is in the process of major renovations. The elevator tiles are cracked and broken. The room was clean and the bedroom/kitchen area were fine. I did request a pack n play upon arrival for my baby and was told it would be 10 minutes before it could be brought up, I ended up going down to the desk an hour later (leaving my baby asleep in the bed) to collect it myself from the desk after calling down from the room failed to get answered. The breakfast was good and fresh in the morning, but my shower was not functioning. I was able to run the bath, but I could not pull up the tab to turn it to a shower (it was too hard to pull up and the spout looked ready to fall out of the wall when I did so). The desk said they would send someone up, but they did not do so before I left a few hours later (I ended up taking a bath just to wash my hair).

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like this hotel because they offer a shuttle within 5 miles and the grapevine shuttle stops there as well. I chose it because the hotel has a kitchenette and it's a suite snd having the shuttle I don't need a rental car. However they had no shampoo in the room no bedding for the couch bed. No utensils glassware or cookware for the kitchen. Had to go to the desk several times to get the items we needed. The construction below us started early and was very loud. The gym equipment was all broken and not in service. Good thing I have U tube videos I used for my workout in the room.

Super friendly service, although the rooms aren't anything like the Hilton, the distance and service can't be beat.

I booked a King Suite and paid Orbitz in advance. Upon check-in, I was told that there were no more King Suites and that they were putting me in a room with 2 Queen beds. I asked if I would get a partial refund and the front desk told me that it was actually a more expensive room. So I went there thinking I would sleep on a King-sized bed and have the space of a suite and I got neither. They told me that I needed to talk to my online travel agent in order to get any kind of refund. This is where my real frustration starts. I called the Orbitz customer number and got transferred to a foreign call center. They had me on the line for 45 minutes while they tried to talk to the hotel front desk and confirm the situation. After I started to lose my patience, they agreed to give me some credit to use on a future booking. I simultaneously sent an email to Orbitz and the official response back was that I shouldn't complain as the hotel upgraded me! Thanks for nothing. I don't know how you could bait and switch your customers and then tell your customer that it's their problem to solve on their own. You just lost a loyal customer.

A small mix up at the time of check in resulted in staff going out of their way to make up for it, great customer service.

This hotel is close to the rental car return facility making for easy return for an early morning flight.

Nice hotel, free breakfast, free shuttle to airport. Perfect for being able to get to my flight early the next morning. Staff was distracted with other duties at check in, but all in all were pretty good, just busy. Breakfast was good, coffee was not so good! Comfortable clean rooms, spacious and nice to have a kitchen area. They even provided ear plugs to drown out the noise of the airport and commuter train, if needed! Nice touch!

I was a little worried when we first arrived because the hotel clerk didn't even look up to acknowledge us but it did get better after that. I had a really lumpy pillow the first night but they graciously replaced it when I asked the next morning. The complimentary shuttle to the train station was very helpful although we always had to wait for it and call back again to get picked up from the train station at the end of the night, even though I called 45 mins ahead to ensure someone would be there. Great hot breakfast in the mornings. Overall, great experience. Definitely plan to stay again.

Roaches in the room, dead on the floor upon arrival. Air conditioner very loud, never turned off. Hotel staff was excellent, removed the dead bugs, apologized, etc.

This hotel needs to be remodeled. The sprinkler was hanging from the ceiling, the floor tiles were cracked. Itall needs to be gutted and remodeled.

Great price nice rooms good breakfast friendly staff

After checking in I took the family up to the room and our keys did not work. Once I got them fixed at front desk we were able to get into a warm room. I set the AC low and waiting a couple of hours before calling the front desk. A couple of hours later and it still did not get below 81. I looked inside the AC vent a noticed a filter clogged with dust and debree, which was probably the cause. I had to go down to the office at 11:30 PM for a room change and relocate the family. Although this room was a lot cooler it struggled to hold a temp during the day. I also noticed this AC filter was caked in dust. Day 2 at the new room and we got locked out. Our keys stopped working again. I had to make another trip to the front desk to get them fixed. Regarding breakfast, be sure to get down there before 9:30 because that is when the crowds come and food gets wipped out. It seems that they stop putting food out and don't keep breakfast stocked up until 10. The side door to the swimming pool doesn't work so you end up having to go all the way around to front of hotel to get back in.

This hotel is located directly over the fence from DFW Airport. Good location, very safe area. The room and hotel was very clean and served a marginal continental breakfast. The only complaints (if I have to list them) would be the cheapness of the towels and toiletries. The towels are so thin that it takes two to dry after a shower and the toiletries are of no quality. The housekeeping staff began hall vacuuming duties at 7:20 am and if I hadn't been awake by then, it would have woke me up. Overall, a nice clean room and comfortable location.

very nice and clean motel. Very helpful and nice people working there, Easy to get to Airport. Only thing is that there are no resturants/lounges close.

hotel is almost on the safe airport

I decided on the Hawthorn Suites because we needed 24 hr airport shuttle. They did great! The lobby was in the middle of a remodel, but our room was nice - big, comfortable and equipped for an extended stay. I LOVED the mattress!!! We returned a week later and had another good experience.

terrible experience

renovations - broken showers & poor service
