I was pleased with everything at the Dallas Marriott City Center. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Check-in was immediate - no lines or hassles. The room was great, and the bed was very comfortable. I usually don't sleep well the first night or two in a hotel, but I had no trouble this time! The room had a nice working desk, a great flat screen TV, mini-fridge, coffee pot, small safe for valuables, etc. - all the amenities I needed. And it was quiet! No noise from the adjacent rooms, or hallway. They had a small business center with computers for printing documents or accessing email, etc. I needed to print, sign and scan a document, and could do everything but the scanning at the business center. The hotel staff scanned and emailed the documents to me ASAP. Very attentive and helpful! The breakfast bar was great - lots of choices, great fresh fruit, and omelets made to order. The location was great, adjacent a small shopping mall / office complex. And it was within walking distance or short cab ride of dozens of great restaurants.

Our room was quite tired and dated but clean which was the most important thing. We also faced the mall which meant our room was extremely dark.

Great Experience! Would definitely stay here again!

The bed of course is wonderfully comfortable. My husband is usually up at 7 on the weekends, but the room was so dark he slept until 10 am! Great late-night eats--we ordered a hamburger at midnight when we got back from a concert. Room is adequate and clean. Has a fridge but no microwave. Tried to make a cup of coffee in the morning but someone had stolen a vital piece of the coffee maker so we couldn't.

The hotel is very nice however we stayed two nights and our room was never cleaned. Had to ask three times for towels. Other than that it was ok. I would not pay full value for this hotel.

I have stayed at this Marriott three times now (twice for business and once after a wedding), and I have always been pleased with my stay. Currently under renovation, but it does not interfere with your stay. The only reason I noticed was because I had stayed there before the changes started -- otherwise, you'd never notice there were renovations going on behind the scenes.

We had to wait in line for half an hour before we were about to check in. While the rooms and staff were very nice; the TV was very static-y and the hotel itself was very musty. For the four days we stayed at the hotel, the parking ramp charged us a total of $46. There are no discounts or anything special for guest who stay at the hotel... So look carefully for a cheaper parking place!

Great hotel staff. Very accomodating!

I paid premium price for a postage sized room, with no internet access, a barely cooling "cooler" stuffed full of over priced wannabe snacks. I wasn't able to get a refill on my coffee without having to go down stairs to the front desk, even though the housekeeper was right there. There is NO parking under $10.00 a night and it is a walk from those locations. I stayed 2 nights and ended up paying almost as much for parking as I did for a night's stay.[...]Very poor choice for a hotel, unless the company pays for it, internet, and your parking. Strictly a Business set-up and an individual like me was lost in finding decent parking, not knowing about the so called amenities in the rooms, which were the size of a Howard Johnson's and about as well furnished.

Overall the hotel was great and in a good location for visiting Dallas. The only frustrating thing was having to pay for parking on top of the hotel rate, but that seems to be more common these days. Also, as with most Westin's the beds were extremely comfortable and the dual shower heads were relaxing.

We were in town for a special weekend for our anniversary. The facility was wonderful, the staff excellent, our junior suite perfect. We had amazing dinner at the hotel. The food and the service were perfect. I know I keep saying perfect was.

We were attending A-kon and the location was perfect. The view outside was beautiful. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. Room could have been cleaner.

Initially went for a concert, but then decided to just hang out in Dallas. I've stayed in other Westins and have enjoyed them, but this one was tired. We had a hole in the sheet and the bathroom sink unit looked as if constructed from plywood. Dampness stains on bathroom ceiling, so overall unimpressed. Admittedly, we were barely in the room the whole time and after flight delays, I didn't have the energy to complain.

It was a nice hotel to be sure, but I very much felt that it was overrated. The biggest reason was having to PAY $10/day for internet! This is 2010, not 1995; I can't even remember the last time I had to pay for internet in my room. Of course, you could argue that $10 is not a lot compared to the cost of the room, or that I should have checked the listed amenities. However, I've never had to worry if a hotel had free housekeeping or free cable TV. These are just things you come to expect, like free internet. And come to think of it, they had a pretty limited cable TV selection (maybe 20 channels). I expected much more from a Westin! Three other small complaints: The hair dryer was in bad shape -- the plastic was peeling off and it wasn't even a particularly good one either. Because the hotel was connected to a plaza, I could hear music coming from there during the day. Finally, the desk chair had lots of stains on it.

Great room, Heavenly bed and bathroom. Good location -- walking distance to many areas of downtown or short cab rides.

the westin was great had a shuttle for me and my friend to go to the cowboys game will recamend it to any one

My stay was wonderful with one exception. I put a plackard on the exterior door knob which stated that I wanted to opt out of clean sheets each day. This was in mind of bieng "green". What happened was that houskeeping never set foot inside my room during my three day stay. I would recommend that you opt out of being green.

The Westin Dallas in downtown city center is ideally located. The hotel is attached to a small shopping mall with an ice skating rink, that is great if you have children. However, the room I got faced inward into the shopping center, and at night till 9-10pm, the skating rink pumps up the music volume which can be noisy and easily heard in the room. So beware of the rooms facing into the shopping center.

Wow! My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our weekend getaway. We were a little nervous about staying in this area but we were so glad we did! When we first arrived, we were greeted with valet service. The valet was one fee for the entire stay no matter how many times you come and go. If you park yourself, it is a fee each time you leave. So- valet is worth it- even when you include tips! We went up to our room and received a phone call notifying us that our luggage was on the way up. They unpacked our luggage for us! We loved the room. It was very spacious. The bed was sooo comfy! And they have double shower heads and double vanities which were a nice treat! We explored the adjoining shopping center, went bar-hopping at some great places within walking distance (that the concierge recommended for us and directed us to), and ate at several nearby restaurants, including the hotel's breakfast which was amazing! We have friends getting married in this area soon, and we are recommending this hotel to all the guests! We did not use the pool, room service, or exercise room, but everything we experienced here was wonderful. We were particularly satisfied with this service. Because we are a young couple, we do not usually receive such attentiveness. Will definitely stay here again.
