Room was spacy with ok materials and equipment. Bathroom very good. Breakfast worked well even space is a bit small. Wifi did work but table in room was filthy. Personal polite and friendly. Pool was a bonus in cellar.
A good place to stay. It is in a central location in the center of town. Good Sauna and Pool area a place to relax before dinner. Good breakfast with plenty of everything. Quiet surroundings and low noise rooms.
Went there with my family , we have 2 Childrens . We had a master suite and the room was awesome. I think its the best room i have ever had in my life. Restaurant was closed on the sunday and that was sad. Slept like in a dream. Childrens loved the room. Must say this i will go back to. We where skiing in Romme so it was perfect. We have been staying before in Romme but it was Kaos with all kids running around all night here at Scandic Borlänge u could sleep perfect and have a nice stay. Beds awesome, breakfast awesome, rooms very good.
The location of the hotel couldn't be more central. It's just by the main shopping street and a short walk from the railway station. There was only one person at the reception and check in was a bit slow (the receptionist was busy at phone). The restaurant was open until 22 and food was ok. Breakfast was great, as usual in Scandic hotels. Wifi was easy to use. The room itself was a bit worn. You can see the age when there isn't electric plugs next to the bed (not needed before mobile phones). Considering the the room (which was ok, but just ok) the hotel was still a bit overpriced. This is Borlänge, after all, not Stockholm.
Not a good visit. Low standard hotel room with minimum effort from the hotel. Can only recommend if nothing else is available. Only good thing was the dinner at the hotel restaurant. Excellent pizza !!
Very cheap and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was delicious and served eco products. The only negative I have to say is that there was only one towel in a 4 bed room. I strongly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Borlänge. It is very close to the ski resort Romme Aplin as well.
The hotell is in the center of town. A place to stay IF you want to visit the BIG IKEA , go skiing at Romme or ice skating at Lake Runn. Clean and proper. Service and breakfast as expected. Borlänge is not far from many popular places in Dalecarlia as Falun , Leksand and Rättvik
Absurd price for the level of hotel in such a small city in the middle of nowhere, even compared to other Scandic hotels in Sweden: SEK 1807 = EUR 188 The next night at the Scandic in Gävle (bigger city) the room was nicer and the price was just SEK1079 = EUR 112, I assume the only reason is just the lack of competitors in the area and customers like my colleague that always book at the Scandic hotels without even checking the price. For sure they will not succeed another time
I prefer to stay at Scandic when travelling in Sweden and Scandic Borlänge didn't disappoint. The hotel is in a good location, just a 10 minute walk from the train station. The room was clean and quiet, just the way I like it. Friendly staff, great breakfast and a nice little gym in the basement, with everything you need for a quick workout. There is a pool and sauna but I didn't get the chance to use them. There is only one elevator which means that you might have to wait a while in the morning when everybody wants to check out. All in all a pleasant stay!
Central location with pay car park just over the road. Check in staff pleasant and allocated a room on second floor. Room overlooked a private car park but no noise issues. Clean but a little dour and uninspiring. Ate in the restaurant and found it to be good honest food. Overall clean and comfy.
