Vinpearl Da Nang Resort & Villas5.0 out of 5.0

I stayed at the resort for a week and seriously it has become one of my best places so far. The housekeeping did a great job of making sure my room was super clean and they even learnt my way. For e.g, my towel should be hung at the bathroom door, not the bath tub. This is a WOW!!!!! More extra notes: 1/The chicken pho is awesome at breakfast. 2/ The pool is huge, and there is another one for children. 3/ If possible, upgrade to Ocean view, you will never regret 4/ Great staff at the restaurant. 5/ The restaurant is crowded during breakfast but it is not a mess.
I deeply appreciate Ms. kham ny for truly care us during we stayed at vinpearl. Most impressive of all is the quality of the staff, breakfast buffet has good choice, room ‘s nice. The good facilities and service at vinpearl made our trip in da Nang a truly memorable one.
VinPearl is a resort fronting the beach with a main 6 story U shaped hotel surrounding 5 different pools, of different depths and sizes all surrounded by lounge chairs (including one for adults only) as well as a timber cottage pool bar with seating also overlooking the beach. In addition there are a large number of semi detached and large Villas that surround two ‘lagoons’ with some also looking out over the beach. We stayed in a 3 bed villa and it was big, the bedrooms were large, each bedroom had it’s own large bathroom with stand alone bath, two sinks, large shower. The main living room had a large L shaped couch which opened up to the villa’s own pool and cabana and grass area plus outdoor table and chairs. Our Villa 6 had a kitchen with large fridge and a long marble dining room table. There is also an additional toilet off the lounge. The unit was in good condition and there are many gardeners out watering and tending to the lush gardens on the estate all day. The package we had included the buffet breakfast and lunch. Although initially cynical about buffet meals when the holiday was booked I have to say the food was fresh, expansive in style, a mix of Vietnamese and western, the dinners also had different ‘specials’ be that ribs one night or roast another or sushi or curry as well as a number of high quality regular dishes. Chefs would make various dishes for you on the spot as well. All 6 of us attended a cooking class and it was fantastic food fun, the Chef was instructive yet funny and engaging and we enjoyed the various dishes she/we prepared. The beach offers various water sports including jet ski hire so a number of our young adults had fun on these. The pool service with cocktails was efficient though the cocktails kept evaporating. There are warnings at the beach for stingers however and whilst we were there the on shore breeze was just a bit strong for lying on beach deck chairs. Some of the pool lounge chair cushions were a bit stained. There were a host of Vietnamese and Chinese families with young children there during our stay (school holiday season I think) and the pools are designed for different ages in mind and the guests comprised a mix of younger families as well as some of us with older children. The business centre is more a meeting room however the spa area is well appointed, spotless with many different treatment and sauna options and the massages our party had (various styles) were great. The resort has a shuttle (cost charged to room) that goes to and returns to Hoi An a number of times a day and this is a trip worth taking multiple times as it is a pretty town, our party had multiple suits, shirts and dresses made (Yaly Couture and also Be Be’s were our selection) and it was a great place to visit at night as well with all the lanterns. The shuttle bus from the airport to the resort was around 15 or 20 min. For a resort that offers multiple pools, a cocktail pool bar, spa treatments, a good buffet and you wish to use it as a base to explore Hoi An it is strongly recommended.
I would like to say this is the best hotel I have ever visited. We stopped here for 7days as part of a family visit and relax week. The food was amazing the choices and quality of food was 5 star, it was fresh and catered for everyone. The staff were always very helpful and professional and polite and really looked after use in the restaurant and poolside, we was always greeted with a smile. The room was amazing with a beach view and was very clean and tidy. The beach was very clean and the water sports activity’s were great and a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this hotel, a big thankyou to everyone at the vinpearl da nang for a fantastic holiday.
This hotel was much more luxurious than we expected for a third world country. The property had at least 5 pools that we could see. We had a huge room with an equally spacious bathroom. As well, it was located right on a beautifully maintained beach which stretched for at least 10 kms. The hotel had several restaurants but we only ate at the breakfast buffet which was also excellent. The service and food offerings were extensive with many food stations available for guests to have food cooked the way they like. Everything about this hotel was very luxurious, down to the free flip flops found in the rooms. To go into town, you needed to take a taxi which costed around $6US one way but then you could access the variety of fresh seafood restaurants on the waterfront. All in all a very comfortable and nice place to stay in Danang, especially if you wanted a beach resort experience. Also, there were 3 golf courses within a 10 minutes or less drive from the hotel.
We booked 8 nights for 4 people through luxury escapes. Overall we had a great time. The positives were the great food, yoga classes, cooking class, pools, cocktails and it's very clean. I drank the tap water and was fine. You can walk to marble mountain. The food is great and the beds were some of the best - ask for the pillow menu. Overall the staff are friendly and attentive but as a group incompetent. It's not just linguistic. They forgot to pick us up from the airport, refunded us for a child's stay then forced us to pay again (see below), bring the wrong food e.g. request 2 then get different things. The hotel needs a room guide and better communication . There are movies on the beach but nobody knew when or what, facilities are not explained how they are used. A manual in the room would sort this out and staff be aware. A word of warning if you're booking through luxury escapes. A four bed room is three. A fourth child is expected to squeeze in on a single pullout with the other child. Luckily we turned the sofa into a bed. The receptionist refunded a bed but on check out made us pay and scribbled out all the other writing she had done. The hotel policy is 3 beds in a room, even when there are four people. So check. I'd stay again but really would be more proactive. The neighboring hotels didn't look as nice.
Booked vinpearl da nang through luxury escapes 6 nights for 6 adults in a 3 bedroom lagoon villa. What a fantastic and memorable holiday with my adult children and there partners. Every staff member was helpful, if they couldn’t help they would find someone who could due to the language barrier. Room perfect, food awesome, even if it was similar each night it was still tasty, eat out if you want something adventurous, tour and sites to see recommended by staff 5 star. Reading some of the other reviews makes me sad of what people’s expectations are for a fantastic deal. Things happen make the best of the situation and enjoy your holiday. I couldn’t fault Vinpearl Da Nang and it’s facilities, ALL staff, location, cleanliness etc fantastic. There is so much to do and see while you are in da nang, hire a scooter and visit Hoi An (30min ride) ride buffalos, have shoes or clothing made, visit different villages ,eat street food at night market, float a lantern down the river, marble mountain, monkey mountain visit Hue, walk across dragon bridge and the list goes on. Thankyou so much Vinpearl Da Nang and luxury escapes.
We have just arrived and are so disappointed at the lack of service and poor communication that we have received. I have just read another customers recent review and it is similar to our experience so far. We had booked 4 months ago an interconnecting room as we are traveling with our 4 sons, youngest 7. When we got here there were 2 rooms not connecting with a king size bed in each. They were not prepared for our extra children even though the email I sent reservations had all the boys ages. When I tried to sort this the man rolled his eyes at me. We were treated very rudely and asked to shift away from counter when waiting on another staff member to finish assisting us. There has been NO communication to what we receive or that we needed cards for all guests at restaurant. The customer service is the worst I have ever received at a hotel. Lovely views and pool though! Definitely do not recommend and will be contacting Luxury Escapes on our return to New Zealand.
We booked a Luxury Escapes package and stayed at Vinpearl for 8 nights late March. Overall, the package was value for money considering that breakfast & dinner and a daily cocktail was included. The buffet was more than ample with plenty to choose from, but in saying that, you do get sick of it everyday. The room was very spacious and well set out. We had some trouble with the shower but that was promptly fixed. The pools are amazing, I only swam in the beach once and got stung by a jelly fish so I didn't go in the ocean again. Marble Mountain and a few local shops are nearby but I do recommend a trip into Hoi An which is about 20 mins away with plenty of tailors, souvenir shops and places to eat. I had some nice leather sandals and boots made and some great dresses for a reasonable charge. We don't usually book packaged trips but this one wasn't too bad and I don't think we could have done it cheaper ourselves for what we got.
My family purchased our Vinpearl booking through Luxury Escapes. We were very excited about our trip and booked a total of three hotels over 13 nights. 3 nights in Ho Chi Minh, 2 nights Hoi An and our last and final 8 nights in Vin Pearl Da Nang. What a disappointing 8 nights. This was suppose to be our luxury get away with the family. On first appearance we were welcomed by about 15 different staff in the lobby, staff from all departments, with only one thing in common..... confusion. We were welcomed with them telling us that our room would not be ready for 5 hours and that they had no knowledge of us having children, still unaware if this is the mistake from luxury escapes or the hotel themselves? The other hotels booked online didn't have the same issue. They told us that there would only be one king size bed for the 4 of us, and that we could purchase an extra bed for one of our children. We were not happy so they went back and said they fixed the problem, they would now be able to give us 2 single beds for the 4 of us! What a joke. We were frustrated so we asked if we could go down for our complimentary lunch while they sort there stuff out. They agreed and told us they would call down to the restaurant to let them know we would be coming down. When we arrived they had no idea who we were and kept asking us for a room number or our room key. We asked for the manager and they let us into the restaurant to eat, but then 5 other staff members during the course of our lunch asked us for our room number/room key. We felt as if we were not supposed to be there and were very uncomfortable with the harassment. Once lunch was finished they still had not worked anything out..... eventually with great trouble we get to our room, keys don't work, lights don't work, extra bed is crammed in. I understand we are in a different country, I have travelled quite a bit in my life. But the confusion and lack of customer service and welcoming nature was at a loss for the whole trip. This was not a luxury escape nor a 5 star experience. They did not go above or beyond. The beach towels were guarded like they were gold, and if you asked for 4 they questioned whether you had 4 people with you if they were not standing directly behind. The consistency of there service was not across the board and you could never guarantee you were going to get what you asked for. Also the beach chairs were dirty and in some places mouldy looking, along with the dirty umbrellas. The tennis rackets were falling apart and the balls looked as though they had been there since the opening of the hotel. If this was a free extra I would not normally complain, but it was 150000 dong per person per hour played. If they are going to charge at least make sure they equipment is in working order. My children took full advantage of the kids club while being here, they loved the fact that there was other kids to play with. But I would be cautious to leave them there without checking up often, and also depending on how old your kids are. At one point a mother that we had made friends with dropped her son and my two boys off to play just after dinner. There was no one in there to watch the kids and there was at least 5 other children in the centre. She complained to the manager and the woman had said she was in the bathroom, but when the mother had looked in the bathroom in the centre there was no one there? Overall I am not happy with the service or the hotel. I enjoyed being with my family and being in the sun. I think that it is false advertising and would let anyone know that if they want to travel to Danang then chose a different hotel. The other hotels I stayed at in Vietnam were fantastic and very accommodating. We would highly recommended the other two so I don't want anyone to think I am just complaining for the sake of it. The buffet was pretty nice and the restaurant staff were the best of the bunch.
