Our rent-a-car was broken into on the hotel grounds. Surprising, because the hotel is surrounded by a barbed-wire covered fence and the only way in and out is a security gate, manned 24-hours. More surprising, the break-in occurred on the only day that we left the car alone for an all-day excursion that the hotel set up and it occurred right next to a building that staff go in and out of all day. Worst, at least 1 other car was also broken into also. We learned of the break-in when we headed out for dinner. Starving and frustrated, we alerted the hotel. The man at the desk did not offer consolation, did not ask us if we lost anything or if we needed anything, and did not offer to provide us with food. He just kept saying we had to go to the police station to fill out a report. He did not offer us a way to the police station, nor directions. As it turned out, the police station had already closed. Long story short, after three hours on the phone that night (Friday) with Alamo and American Express. Dealing with Infosys (the adjuster) and the tow company, we were starving and still received no support from the hotel. The next day (Saturday), we spent three hours at the police station. The police told us the hotel should have called the tourism police who would have come to us the night before. The hotel never offered any support and never asked us if we were ok. Instead, when we checked out, they tried to charge us $8 for the phone calls to Alamo and Amex.

Very relaxing and lovely pool area. Spa looked nice but never really used it.

Very good and confortable suites. The staff was amazingly kind and friendly specially Dion.

lovely stay at floris everything you need including the most spacious hotel suite with full kitchen the pool is beautiful and the location rocks!

This was our. 3rd time to the Floris Suites so obviously we like it. But when we checked in we were told that the AC in our room wasn't working so we had to be "downgraded"! That's not what you want to hear upon your arrival after a long trip! The downgraded room was bad- not equipped with much of anything, the bed was up on a loft with super steep stairs to navigate, and I hit my head on the ceiling when we got up there. Nothing good about it. They did move us the next day and gave us free breakfast ( nothing special there) but it was a bad start. The room they moved us to was fine but could use a little work.

Super relaxing experience in a great room with a pool garden view. Really could ask for any thing else!

Great hotel. Safe space for LGBT visitors, as is the island of Curacao.

nice hotel friendly staff long check in room is dirty food was good

Location isn't the greatest and the rooms were less than stellar. Overall was a great trip though

overnight stop for conecting flights. did not enjoyed of amenities, but the poll area look very nice. room was big, but airconditioning was noisy, hot water went out very fast. very convinient for flights conections, since no other hotels close to airport

We stayed in a Pool View Royal Suite. Good stuff: I love the simple modern bedroom, the bed was comfortable, the closets are spacious and nice. The kitchen is the perfect size for a vacation kitchen, and nice. Great wireless internet reception from the living room. Nice big flat screen TV's. Size of pool and courtyard are nice. Landscaping is very lush & tropical. Very friendly staff. Problems: The living room (and lobby) furniture is dilapidated, covered in worn and ill fitting slip covers, no decor whatsoever. No throw pillows, no flowers, no art, no throws. It was uncomfortable and troubling, especially in comparison to the pictures online. I was afraid to sit on the couches for the first few days. The shower has mildew. The tile bathroom walls are smeared all over with grout. The drain stops in the shower and sink don't lift so we had to pull them out. The pool is missing several tiles, the pool furniture needs cleaning from bird droppings. Our safe never worked, we were told someone would fix it, they didn't. We called front desk to send someone out a few days later to fix it, that person never showed up. Our refrigerator stopped working for no apparent reason, we called for help- we got help promptly. Since it's a hotel, not a vacation rental, I would have liked to have perhaps enough dish soap, dishwasher detergent, a dish towel and a sponge to get us started. There was nothing. Also, the kitchen doesn't really have the basics...no spatula. Only two sets of utensils. I'm torn about this one. It's still a good value because I got an excellent deal...but it wasn't the hotel I saw in the pictures so I felt cheated. If it were maintained, stocked, and decorated appropriately, it would be a great hotel. But it is not, and has not been cared for for some time. I would have gladly paid more each night to stay there with better fundamentals. Hopefully they are in transition to better property/hospitality management. I would recommend this hotel to someone on a very tight budget as long as I could prepare them for the problems. I would never recommend this hotel to someone who is looking for 4 star hotels.

I cannot say enough about this place. Reception. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of chilled champagne and a warm smile. All of our information was at the desk waiting for us to arrive. The usuals of providing our passports and credit card for room charges was done before you could take the second sip of champagne and we were already being led to our room.' The room. Imperial Suite says it all! A HUGE 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with a fully functioning kitchen and 2 balconies. The doors to the balconies opened completely to let the island breeze blow thru the entire suite. It was amazing sitting in the living space and having the breeze just sweep over you as you relaxed with a cup of coffee in the morning, or a cocktail in the evening. The staff. After meeting the general manager, the Sales and Marketing supervisor and a few of the reception and bar staff, we knew we were going to be taken care of like nothing before. We wanted a rental car for a few of the days we were there, and reception took care of it. We needed directions to shopping and other sites, reception had the answers. Cocktails by the pool, the servers were always ready. After dinner drinks at the upstairs bar, Alex was always willing to make what we wanted, or suggested local favorites for us to try. The room was immaculate every time we returned from our excursions into Willamstad, wether it be to dine on local cuisine, or to hit the mall for a little mind numbing shopping. Even after we cooked our own meals in the room, upon return all of the dishes were cleaned an put up for us to use the next time we wanted to dine in. The pool. This is the ultimate in poolside relaxation. The breeze blowing over the water and the sound of the waterfalls in the pool are the perfect combination for either reading a great book, listening to some great music or even taking a short nap under the shade of a palm tree. Showers are available to wash the chlorine off of you before heading to your room as well. The Beach. A short walk (literally less than 5 minutes) puts you on the private beach run by the hotel. Towels, snacks and cocktails are available to be enjoyed in comfortable chairs either out in the sun, or perfectly stationed under a palm canopy or under a shady palm tree (yes, a nap was enjoyed here). The beach itself is a bit rocky getting in, but once you're in, it's divine! (I would suggest a pair of water shoes for this one) Pirate's Bay is a short cart ride (provided, if needed) down the coast where you can get a full service menu of food if you want. We enjoyed a light lunch and a few Pina Coladas before relaxing on the private beach and taking a dip in the ocean. After 6 nights, all we can say is that we are the most relaxed we've ever been after a vacation. Usually it's run here and run there to see everything whilst on vacation, but this TRULY was a time to relax and let someone else take care of it for you. The staff wear shirts that state "Let Me Spoil You", and believe me, they will. All you need do is ask. Anything you need will be provided. We will be visiting again next year, and every year after that for my celebratory birthday week! It was a pleasure to stay at Floris, and no one could convince me otherwise.

It was early evening when we arrived. The main entrance is open and breezy, candles were lit and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, we were put right at ease after our long flight. The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodated our every need and most everyone spoke several languages, so communication was never a problem. This is my second trip to curacao. The first resort I stayed at was nothing compared to Floris suites. Actually, of all the resorts where I have vacationed thought the carribean, Floris tops the list! It is by far, the most luxurious and best value you'll find anywhere. The resort in general, our spacious suite and the prime location made our stay on the island beyond compare

The hotel is located in the Piscaderabaai next to the Hilton and the Marriott. It's a short drive into Willemstad and having a car is highly recommended. There is free and safe parking on the premises. The suites are all equipped with little kitchenettes and most have a lovely terrace of balcony. They all have a big fridge and freezer. We enjoyed the restaurant Sjalotte on several nights and also prepared our own food on some nights. Breakfast is fairly expensive and not very special. There is a big supermarket Centrum not far from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and always eager to help. We enjoyed the location; you can walk to Pirate Bay and may use the Parasasa Beach, which is adults only.

I had an amazing time! Only concerns were the mosquitoes, and thought the food was over priced. Other from that, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean.

The hotel was great. The whole place was low key and very realxed. The staff were helpful and pleasant. We loved our room, we had a royal suite with a pool view. The room was huge and the kitchen was well stocked and functional. The hotel was close to downtown, the airport and a grocery store. The grounds were simple and beautiful, nothing grandiose or crazy, they were just right. Even the hotel was not directly on a beach, there was one across the street and very easy to get to. The pool and pool deck were great for passing the afternoon dozing, reading and soaking up the sun. The only disappointment was out first night and they were over booked, even though we had prepaid the room through the online service. They arranged for us to stay at the 'Hel-ton' accorss the street, that place had terrrible rooms. The rooms were dirty, badly needing repair and not as nice as the Floris. And the whole feel was different over there. The only other criticism is the music around the pool during the day, they really need to change it from the poppy/hip hoppy stuff to some sort of chillout lounge type stuff, relaxing hip music. (like they were playing in the lobby) That would have made it perfect. Looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful little hotel.

Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, good wifi, friendly staff and a comfortable lobby with a great sound system. We were more impressed with Floris then previous reviews lead us to expect, but than we always travel with the assumption that no facility is perfect. Floris staff does try hard to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant is crowded at breakfast so know that it will take time for you to be served. Relax, listen to the birds, read or think about nothing. For us Floris was a refuge, particularly after a long day exploring the island. Loved lounging around the pool. Great value.

This is a very nice hotel, with kindy people that like to help you. First of all I did not understand this was not a hotel at the beach but ijn the end of the day it was not so dramatic. The most beautiful and interesting beaches in the island are in a driving distance and better have a reantal car!! About the restaurant I would say, the food presentation and taste are great but prepare your self for a slow food realy!

The Floris is nicely situated in Piscadera bay by the Hilton and the Marriott. However, it is not on the water. The hotel is very hip and cool. The staff is friendly mostly. The rooms are really nice and spacious. The furniture a are nice and bed is comfy. TVs are big and the kitchen is well equipped. There isn't much to do or see around that area so you will need a car to get around. The price is reasonable and I will definitely go back.

Just came back from my first visit to Curacao. Loved the Floris. Zoleika, Albertus, and Xionira were amazing and my favorite staff. The room comes with a full kitchen so stock up at Duty Free on alcohol. The hotel offers a free shuttle to town twice daily at 9am and 4pm. The taxi's are expensive and will charge $25 each way usually. Night life is good and will return. The Pool View room is a must!
