We drove 7 hours to get here so crashing in the comfy bed with clean sheets was great! The room had a off smell but being tired and just wanting to sleep it didn't matter the free breakfast was good and tasted fresh with many options the bathroom was clean and smelled clean we where there one night just to sleep and take off so we spent 7 hours there and the smell of room hit you when you came back into it every time
I had to cancel flight from Seattle to Atlanta due to an ice storm the morning of January 7. Company has ignored letter request I have sent as well as explaining on phone that reservation was non refundable when that was not stated when reservation was made.
Stayed here for 3 weeks for work. Great Hotel staff. Very Good Breakfast every morning. Hotel was under some upgrade construction. But the staff went above and Beyond to make it a Great stay ! Very Clean rooms ! Located close to restaurants and shopping !
Stayed a couple of nights, good clean room, proper amenities. Breakfast is basic motel fare. Good location close to Cumming proper and to the freeway - entry driveway was hard to spot on the first try, thereafter OK.
Nice room enjoyed the size of the room & that it had a sitting area. Tv was mounded on the wall which made it easy to watch. Only negative I have is. That the room had a stale smell to it. But after I was in it a little while i didn't notice it. Would stay again
My first impression is always how I am treated at the Front Desk. Thank you Kadeja Meadows for that big smile, and winning personality. Also thank you so much for helping me find a great place to order my dinner, and have it delivered. You really made me feel like I was talking to a friend. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Feeling like home says a mouthful. This was our second stay at the Comfort Suites in Cumming. Both times Kadeja was at the front desk. Both times it was a pleasure. Thanks Comfort Suites.....
I was in room #218 which overlooks the front of the building. Not the best view, but I wasn't here for a view. I was here for about nine to ten weeks working on a project and the people here made me feel so at home. The weekends were always iffy, ( lonely, but I did OK.) I'm checked out and ready to go home to Wisconsin tomorrow morning and Kedaja told me it was a bittersweet moment for he to see me go.....Try to beat that....
Depending on what you are expecting this hotel will either disappoint or will do! On a positive note, this hotel is quiet, parking was easy, staff were friendly, housekeeping did what they were supposed to, the fridge was a good size and was cold. Upon entering our room, right away we were overwhelmed by the damp air, and damp carpet under foot, i thought perhaps as this was a pet friendly hotel the carpets may have been recently cleaned and weren't dry yet, by the end of our 5 day stay the carpet still felt damp and the air humid. The closet was tiny (see pic) not a problem if there is only one of you! The bathroom was also tiny, one of those hard to maneuver in with the opening and closing of the door, also it was a bit on the nasty side (see pics) and for me if the bathroom is nasty, its all over. I really didn't like that the towels despite being fresh and new, felt damp when you went to use them for the first time. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were those puffy kind that your head sinks into, kind of like what happens when you squish a piece of white bread, not the best. Pop corn walls and ceiling, yes these don't directly effect your stay but they add up to something, and its not good. There was a hairdryer, but its attached in the bathroom, that steamy humid bathroom with ventilation that vented to nowhere so bring your own if you think you'll need one. Bottom line, look elsewhere cause i think you could find something thats just nicer.
Room was clean and neat. Had a few problems with the television as it was spotty on some of the channels. Walls are a bit thin and the parking is very tight. Getting in and out of the parking lot onto the road is difficult as the hotel is located at a very busy exercise.
My girlfriend and I decided to take a girl's trip to see Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, Georgia. Since Ball Ground is rather limited in hotel selection, we decided to stay at the Comfort Suites and drive to Ball Ground. We stayed on the third floor away from the elevators, near the end of the hallway which was good. Our room had two double beds (as we requested), a small microwave, and a mini fridge. The room was clean, and the beds were extremely plush and comfortable. Even the pillows were super good. In fact, I would be interested in purchasing one of those pillows if they are available to purchase. We were told that the hotel serves a free breakfast between the hours of 7am and 10am, but we slept right through breakfast and woke up at about check-out time. I rarely sleep that late. I'm usually awake by 7am, so that just tells you how well we slept. Those black-out curtains are the bomb. The air conditioning was also very good. The only down side to our room was the size of the flat screen television. My computer monitor is approximately the same size as that TV. Also, once we were settled into the room, our phone kept ringing twice. My girlfriend called down to the front desk and apparently they did not know how to stop the ringing. We were told that it was probably from a previous guest's wake up call, but it happened about every 5 to 7 minutes. After 3 calls to the front desk about the problem, we just unplugged the phones. Problem solved. The hotel is located in a very busy area, so there are several restaurants nearby. A Waffle House is within a rocks throw of the hotel (easy walking distance and no highways to cross). The hotel staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay there again, and I would have given this hotel 5 stars had it not been for the television issue and the inability of the front desk staff to stop the incessant phone ringing.
