Short trip, best stay. This was just an overnight and the room was super!! Plush bed! Breakfast in the morning!! Great stay

While I greatly appreciate the earplugs and the cute note regarding hearing the "choo choos" during the night, I cannot use earplugs in a strange place as I feel something may happen that I really need to hear - particularly since I am a female who was traveling alone. Therefore, I did not sleep well at all as the trains seemed to pass through very often - maybe 2 hours of sleep at most. I was very disappointed to be soooo droopy tired when I returned to Rocky Gap casino to gamble as that was my all alone weekend (something I rarely get). Not to mention, the 4-hour drive back home was no easy task with only a couple of hours of sleep under my belt.

Took my mom and friend to see the changing leaves!! Always a great stay here. Trains are always running but that's what we loved about hotel! Also close to scenic railroad!! Great weekend!!!

The hotels proximity to dining and beverage is its best selling point. The bathroom needed an exhaust fan and my room needed a good top to bottom scrubbing. Trash and hair in out of the way places in the room. Facility as a whole was nice, but dated.

No bells and whistles. Appreciate staff accommodating a request for late check-out. Breakfast in letters were delicious.

this was my second stay at this location. It was a great price and a great hotel.

We arrived extra early (8am) and requested an early check in. They were very accommodating! Helpful with restaurant recommendations and pleasant staff.

We had to change rooms because there was a party in the next room. It was 3PM. The front desk accommodated us immediately and was very understanding. The heater/AC didn't work, but we had moved once and didn't want to move again, but there were blankets on the bed so we were at least warm. One of the switches in the bathroom didn't do anything either. We got to breakfast a half hour before it closed and there wasn't any coffee or hot food left but blueberry waffle mix.

I have stayed here a number of times on bicycle trips. Staff is cycle friendly, they have a hose outside to blow dust off bikes. On one occasion I needed to drop my bike off early before room was ready. No problem...."We'll have room ready when you get back....take your bike up now."

The Ramada downtown hotel was a pleasant place to stay at. Granted, it's an older building and not as sleek and updated as some of the other places we looked into staying at... but it was a fraction of the cost and it was still clean and comfortable. We didn't interact with the staff very much so I'm not sure about the reviews saying that they were rude... They were friendly and quick during our check-in and check-out though! Our room was spacious and everything was clean. The bathroom looked like it had been updated a bit, but it was somewhat small. The train only woke me up maybe once when it whistled (and I fell right back to sleep), but usually it just hummed by slowly... Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again, no doubt.

Carpet and air conditioning unit were filthy. The room smelled like mildew and pet dander, and we are basically told that they couldn't guarantee anything better.

My boyfriend and I were suppose to have a room there June 9th .. We get there they tell us they have no more rooms but offer us a king size room . we went to pay for it with our prepaid credit card and we were short $5 .. So we offered to pay cash for difference said we cant do that .. So we told them we would pay all cash forthe room. They wanted us to pay $250 deposit plus room amount . mean while the manager is staring my boyfriend up and down and telling the clerk to just cancel our reservation .. They were very rude ..

The hotel staff were amazing from the front desk to maintenance we passed in the halls. The Western omelette and home fries was the best free breakfast I've had at a hotel. The only gripe is that the rooms are a bit dated and need some updating (I.e. replc caulk in tub).

While everything was fine with our room we did not notice that the bed in the offer was a double not a queen. The whole hotel was booked when we arrived and our room could not be changed.

We stayed the weekend to take a ride on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad (would highly recommend). The hotel was in the heart of town. Many different restaurants to choice from. The room were nice and clean. The hotel bar was very nice. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The breakfast is made to order from the menus. Also they have an hourly free shuttle service to the Rocky Gap Casino. I would definitely stay there again. There is a railroad running through the town which you could hardly hear.

Hotel was perfect for unforunate family funeral. Close to the planned events.

Lobby was being renovated but room was clean. Trains do run behind the hotel, but not a real issue. Good value.

My husband, cousin, her.husband and I stayed for a night. The guys golfer at Rocky Gap Casino while the girls played the slots. The hotel was nice. It stormed so we didn't get to use the pool. The menu selection in restaurant could of had.a bigger variety. The steak was fatty and they were out of the cut that was the special. Overall hotel and room were nice.

The hotel is convenient to I68, clean, comfortable, and cheap. The only problem is the many trains that pass by the windows throughout the night.

the hotel was as i expected, the rooms were comfortable and clean.

Thank you for your recent stay at the Ramada Inn Downtown Cumberland. We are sorry to hear that you did not sleep well with the train sounds and that you could not use the earplugs we provide our guests as a convenience to help with the noise. We do allow requests to be made for specific rooms and sides of the building, and we try to honor all requests, however sometimes that does not always work out. We do hope you had a chance to enjoy our complimentary breakfast in the morning. If you would like to further discuss your stay please feel free to contact the hotel directly.
