Great location for family getaway. Quiet, comfortable, beaches were not packed, and the snorkeling from the resort beach was a lot of fun for the whole family! Kids have already requested we return to Cozumel under the condition that we visit this exact same resort. We agree! I recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear though as you may only be able to rent the gear on the resort for a certain amount of time per day. If you bring your own, you can snorkel all day!

Food quality was poor. It would have been better to do some things well with less selection then most things poor.

Beach is very nice. Not much to see snorkeling if that’s what you’re looking for. Staff is great. Food is edible but gets old. The property sells day passes which if it was busy would not be desirable. Rooms are clean and spacious but doors need seal better. We had mosquitoes buzzing most nights.
Beautiful property but a little old. Staff is great. Food and drinks served overall was not so great, especially lunch. I still recommend The Allegro to anyone visiting Cozumel.
Decent resort, the staff, grounds, amenities are nice. The food was good but got a little repetitive. The Japanese restaurant is good but there’s no AC in there and with them blasting fire in your face it’s very very hot. The ATM ran out of cash on day 2. Our shower leaked every single time we used it and the shower head de used on day 4 to just slump down and we couldn’t get it to stay put. Rooms are clean a little small but no biggie. The pools/hot tub could use some upgrading-but it’s not a five star resort and I expect some dings. Drinks are good, strong and plentiful.
All in all, it is a decent property. Decent food, the Oriental, in my opinion, was by far the best, with the Italian a very close runner up. The rooms are small with EXTREMELY thin walls!! Beds are clean and comfortable. Cleaning service is average, not horrible. There are many activities going on throughout the day and evening. No adult only pool, so you will always have children around, even at the pool bar area. if you go, you must find Sergio Kantun, he is the best pool bar service you will get without ever leaving your chair!! (give this guy a raise, he runs all day!) Happy Travels!
