Quality Hotel Coventry3.0 out of 5.0

We stayed in a small double in mid June. The room was tiny by any standards, only really fit for one person. I could touch the desk with my feet from the bottom of the bed. The night was warm, there's no air con so window wide open which meant being on the first floor, people below were drinking, laughing and smoking so very loud and could smell the smoke. The road was VERY noisy all night with lorries, didn't sleep well, never again.
On the outskirts of Coventry, the Quality Hotel is an unpretentious hotel that is well located for business travel. Parts of the public areas are a wee bit dated, but the bedroom appeared to have had a recent makeover and was well decorated and spacious. Staff were all friendly and helpful and for the modest rate the hotel represents good value.
Stayed here recently, and to be honest, i couldn't fault anything. My room was excellent, very clean, comfortable bed and had everything you would want. Staff were really helpful and the food was great, especially the breakfast - fantastic. As i travel to Coventry frequently, i will be using this hotel from now on. Excellent value for money.
Once again thanks for hosting our group of army friends. A slightly different format this year but even more enjoyable and the turnout for the event was fantastic. The staff were their usual standard, efficient and friendly service and nothing seemed to faze them. Even though they were dealing with 71 ancient old ex forces personnel Thanks again for your help Regards Jbb
The hotel has great parking very modern rooms and a reasonably priced bar and restaurant. It is only a £10 taxi ride to the city centre which has great shopping in West Orchard and several good restaurants including the excellent Establishment which is adjacent to the Cathedral Hotel staff are friendly and entertainment is provided in the bar on Saturday nights. Breakfast is a little pricey but nonetheless very good
Stayed Saturday 8th July 2017 in a double room for 1 night. The room was clean and comfortable. Only paid £35 (advance rate) which is a bargain for what you get. The parking is free as is the wifi. The room had hairdryer, iron, ironing board, kettle hangers, tea/coffee etc. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bathroom didn't have a bath but was a wet room. The only downfall is that there is no aircon in the room and it was a very hot day/night. I would stay here again but not in a heatwave.
I was able to book this hotel for a Saturday night for £40 and for that price I was happy with the stay. Despite the room being very small and the bed being a little firm the rest of the room was decorated to a fairly modern standard. Shower and bathroom facilities were good as well as use of the television. Room was ready on time and all of the hotel seemed very clean and well kept. I would however say the room was too small for anything other than a place to stay for the night. I would highly recommend for this purpose if you get a cheap price
Me & a large group of friends stayed in December, rooms were very nice & clean, food on the evening was good, as was the breakfast next day..... only negatives were the bar area could do with smarting up as looked a bit scruffy & it's not close to any bars/pubs so unless you want to trail somewhere your stuck with limited drink options at the bar
Quality is not just the name, it's the product. Once again I booked the Quality for our annual reunion, again I was not disappointed. We had a great stay, the staff are very friendly and the food was excellent and we had a great weekend. I will be booking again next year.
Needed a room quick and this was the best location for the money. Staff friendly enough. Food very nice actually. Same meals served in bar area and restaurant, so plenty of choice of where to sit. Seemed clean enough throughout. The only downside is that this hotel is an old fashioned hotel, compared to the usual modern Holiday Inns or Premier Inns i usually stay in. As a result, the room I was in was basic. I stayed during the 30 degree heatwave so needless to say there was no air conditioning in the room (not that I was expecting it) However my window opened onto the pitched roof of the below extension so I was hesitant about leaving it wide open during the night and when not in the room as it was easy for someone to climb onto the roof via the fire escape and climb into my room, so I had to close it and let the room heat build up when I left the room. (Due to the heat, I had no choice but to leave the window open during the night and had a visit from the local cat through the window at 1 in the morning!) The floors are also very creaky and walls very thin. Pipes bang and gurgle so made for a further uncomfortable night in addition to the heat. The bathroom isn't to my liking as a wet room rather than a shower/bath. The whole floor gets soaked so wet feet every time you enter. Also the shower was very weak. No hot water for my shower/wash late in the evening and also early the next morning before I checked out. Generally the hotel is ok as a last resort but not if you're used to more modern and comfortable rooms.
