Great to be able to walk here from the railway station on arrival and location proved to be very central & close to the beautiful old city. Friendly reception staff, modern décor with lovely pool area, and most importantly, a very comfortable and clean room, with easy to use and up to date bathroom. Would definitely recommend.
We were looking for somewhere to stay between Epernay and Chamonix, and decided on Dijon as we had never visited before. Other than the very small parking spaces in the garage adjacent to the hotel we have no complaints about our stay. Front desk staff was pleasant when we checked in, and offered two complimentary drinks at the bar. The room itself was a little small but offered everything we needed - quiet, air conditioned and a rain shower (not the dreaded hand shower). Being close to the train station we were somewhat concerned about noise, but the double-paned windows kept out all the noise. Everything in the room was relatively new and in good working condition. As we were only there for one night did not take advantage of the pool and spa, took a quick walk through and they looked very nice. The property does offer parking for a fee, it is in a building about 50 feet from the hotel so you will have to haul your luggage a bit upon check-out. The spaces were the smallest of any we encountered on the trip, took a good 15 minutes to back into a tiny stall. It was secure, and accessible by elevator. We loved the location, just a couple blocks away from old town and several good restaurants and bars. There was a lot of shopping too, but as we arrived on a Saturday night and left Sunday afternoon pretty much everything but the souvenier shops were closed. We were able to acquire several flavors of mustard, which was a key goal of the visit. The town itself was busy but not overcrowded, as some others felt during the trip. Overall we enjoyed Dijon and the hotel, and hope to plan a longer stay in the future.
A modern comfortable hotel. We received a friendly and efficient welcome and were given a map of Dijon and all the main places of interest were pointed out to us. We had a bit of difficulty getting around the various one-way streets so we ended up by using the station carpark - gathered later that the hotel has access to another site. Good wi-fi (useful for teenage son!), breakfast was good. We didn't use the pool.
Stayed here for one night on our way to the South of France. The internet photos made the place and room look like it was going to be amazing, so we didnt mind paying the price per night. Although it was very clean, the room was tiny with decor no better than a travel lodge, nothing like we expected. The parking is down the road from the hotel in an underground carpark with codes for the barrier, the lift and the car park doors, I think if you were a woman on your own you may find this a bit scary at night. We won't 're visit this hotel.
Very convenient location between the railway station and the historic quarter. Clean and comfortable hotel public areas and rooms. We had problem with smell in first room but were moved fairly promptly. Breakfast is superior and worth the money (unusual in France). Internet fast and reliable. Pool was a real plus. For the price you could not do better than this hotel.
Great hotel, well situated near town, tram and train services. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Swimming pool was adequate for a quick dip and relax after a day in the beautiful city of Dijon. I highly recommend this hotel.
What a lovely hotel, and what a great room and bed. And for France, where it is hard to find a clean room. Go to this hotel, it is worth every penny!!!!!Only we did have has a problem to find the parking, but we where very tired....
Hôtel Oceania Le Jura is located on a street that appeared to be dedicated to streetcars. Parking around the corner and walking to the front desk, we were informed that not only were we allowed to drive on the street, we were allowed to drive and park on the sidewalk for loading and unloading. Other than the discomfort I had of driving on a sidewalk, the hotel location was extremely convenient: located in the the middle of commercial block between Gare Dijon (train station) and the old city. The hotel had a boutique feel with modern sitting areas in the lobby, as well as a nice inner courtyard. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and greeted us each and every time we entered and exited the hotel. I had room 405. The room was very comfortably sized and perfectly clean. Although this room overlooked the busy street, the room was quiet throughout the night. This was a very comfortable stay in the perfect location.
Dijon is an amazing little city and we would highly recommend Hotel Oceania Le Jura. Lots of quirky little shops and lane ways to explore. The hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff were excellent and all amenities are clean and modern-bathroom was excellent!
We loved our stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and very stylishly decorated. Huge, comfortable bed and a big flatscreen TV with a wide range of channels. Modern coffee maskin and a safe. Out room was towards the back garden, so it was really calm. WIFI functioned very well. The bathroom was modern and inviting, with a wonderful, large shower and a heathed towell rack. Thick, wonderful towells as well. Location is very good. Five minutes walk to the entrance to the old town and about the same to the train station. Very nice staff at the reception. The garage entrance is from the street behind the hotel. Easy to find if you know where to look. Can be a bit cramped.
