My first impression was very positive as the answers by email were perfect. We were a bit disappointed upon arrival though, because: the place was crowded and noisy, with poor sound isolation; the place is a bit old, time for new painting; room was small, averagely clean (bathroom drawers dirty). On the positive side: beds were comfortable; well located coming from Belgium to the South; tub in the bathroom; breakfast was ok.

1 night stop after riding bike for 4 days was shattered, checked in no prob, lovely friendly staff, room basic, bath tiny no good for a fat boy, beer pants, breakfast naff, was cheap so got what we paid for, would I stay again yeah for the price.

Very comfortable little Hotel. Spotless and affordable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food surprisingly good. When we asked for lunch on a day the restaurant was normally closed they went out of their way to provide a lovely meal for us as there was a seminar going on in the hotel for which they were providing food. Lovely little outdoor pool which we took advantage of. Altogether a great experience which we would thoroughly recommend.

Always stay here when driving to Italy, and on return, quite often twice a year. The superior rooms well worth the extra overlooking fields so really quiet. Handy for the Cora Supermarket, just up the road for cheap diesel. Restaurant meals good and the breakfast sets you up for the day.

We stopped one night on the way back to the UK (2 adults/2 kids) - the room wasn't overly large but OK for one night, it was clean and fairly well kept, within a few minutes of a commercial district/loads of pizza hut style eateries which is good (if you like that sort of thing). All in all it was fine - completely unmemorable but exactly what was required!

Did not eat in the restaurant. Went across teh street to "La Table du Rocher" for a nice dinner at fair price. The hotel room was with a double bed and a pullout sofa. It is clean, and just what an overnight requires. Breakfast (for 8 euros) was ok- about standard for hotels in the area.

Like many it would appear; stopped here on the way from Calais to the South. Nice enough hotel. Reception was very friendly and spoke good English. We had a room for 4 and it was MASSIVE! Could have fitted at least another four beds in the room. The balcony had loose footing so wouldn't let the kids out on it. The receptionist looked totally shocked when we enquired about the availability of vegetarian food in the restaurant. She then couldn't believe that veggies don't eat fish either! We found (by accident!) a gorgeous home-made pizza place that was a converted front of one's house and sneeked these back into the hotel. Breakfast was adequate - continental and plenty on offer. All in all I would stay here again, but only if it was a one night stop-over.

We stayed at this hotel 2 weeks ago for one night as a stopover on our way to the south of France. There were 6 of us and we had 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds comfortable. There were tea/coffee facilities in our room but not in our family's room. On arrival after quite a long drive from Calais it was nice to take advantage of the hotel's swimming pool. So far so good, but then...................... That evening we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant and I can honestly say the meals were the worst we have ever eaten!!! Two of us ordered coq au vin but when it arrived it was "stone cold". It had obviously been taken out of a refrigerator and not heated. Certainly not freshly cooked. We obviously complained and received 2 further meals (probably heated in a microwave). The coq au vin consisted of a few bones with hardly any meat, a mish-mash of chopped potatoes (which were cold) and some tomato and aubergine, also cold. Another one of our party ordered duck. This consisted of a few thin slices of duck, which was completely overcooked and looked like rubber. The only food that proved edible were the children's meals, one had chicken nuggets and the other a burger and these meals were fine. We then risked desserts, which were ok but so small. We left still feeling hungry. On returning from our holiday a few days ago we had another stopover at the same hotel. Once again it was nice after a long drive to make use of their pool. Again the rooms were comfortable and clean but this time neither room had tea/coffee facilities. That evening we obviously did not eat in their restaurant, but not far along the road was a Buffalo Grill. Not exactly exciting but at least the food here was hot and edible and tasty. We opted to have the continental breakfast in the hotel before completing our journey the next morning. There was a good selection but unfortunately most of the food was uncovered and there were at least 3 flies hovering and landing on the bread, cake and other items. Obviously therefore we ate very little. This hotel is a convenient stopover, but if we return for another holiday we would definitely not stay here again!!!

We, family of 4, made a stop at this hotel on our way to the south of France. Check in was smooth and the reception speaks English. The quadruple room was clean, had air conditioning and beds were comfortable. The small swimming pool was nice to cool down after a long day drive. We didn't have food at the hotel. Across the street is a big grocery store (Cora) with a restaurant, that sells pizzas and crepes or real meals after 18.30 hours. From the hotel its a short drive to the highway. We were very satisfied with this hotel.

A very basic French roadside chain motel outside of Dijon-nothing terribly wrong with the place, though the staff's lack of knowledge of the nearby local restaurants ("better off you stay here and eat" when there are nearby classic French places serving local wine) is not excusable, as is the state of pool cleaning and the lack of non-pork items on the cold cut tray. AC was working, which helped redeem the place.
