Was were staying in this hotel May 2017, 3 nights because I caught cold and weather was rainy. Hotel is modern, multi-story with comfortable rooms and large windows. (I comes handy if you are sick and staying all day in the room). Staff is friendly and responsive. The location is pretty far away from Braga itself - just in the middle of nowhere, on the large road... Need to drive or take a taxi (~ 10 min) to get to Braga. Hotel is geared towards hosting large tourist groups. Dinner buffet is a total rip-off: it is 20 euro and it is cafeteria style (we went there first evening just because I was sick). Breakfast buffet also suffer when they host large group (they feed groups separately). When there is no group - hotel is pretty empty and breakfast buffet was nice... Overall, it is a comfortable hotel but pretty faceless and location is not the best...

Spent one night at Melia Braga Hotel and found it very nice. The rooms are modern and sophisticated. The bathroom had a tub and a shower. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection. Only one problem: one experienced receptionist with a couple of trainees made check in and check out quite slow, which was annoying. Would definitely return for a longer stay.

I want to start by saying we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Just back yesterday 6.6.17 However I wanted to alert people to its surrounding location. The hotel is near Braga, about 10 mins drive max, and easyish to access from the motorway BUT it is on a plot which is surrounded by major roads and there is a constant traffic noise. Sometimes quite loud through the night and early morning. Unfortunately there is also a massive electricity pylon on the grounds, in front of the hotel which is not great to look at, nor are the supermarket and fast food advertising hoardings clearly visible from rooms and pool area. The rooms were OK. A little weird having a shared door for the loo and shower and no walls through to the bedroom but we managed . Also no balconies in the standard rooms. The spa has all you would expect but it is looking a little worn already and the lobby loos need a refurb. Also the sun loungers were quite uncomfortable. Having said all this, we would return happily as the service and food were super and the lobby and communal bar/restaurant areas certainly have the wow factor. The pool was clean and fairly shallow so it warmed up nicely during the day and the pool bar staff were great. Maybe I've been spoiled in other 5 star hotels in Portugal, we've visited 4 now, but this is not the best in that category in my opinion. Please do go, for all the good bits, but be warned about the other things too.

Very nice hotel, very nicely decorated and clean. The staaf quite attentive, very well received. The breakfast buffet quite varied the lunch is excellent also bufett. Highly recommend both stay and food.

I don't travel on business too often but when I do my expectation is that wherever I stay offers me at least what I have at home and then maybe more. This hotel more than met those expectations for a number of reasons. a) Friendly and pleasant welcome at reception on check in b) Clean and tidy public areas all around the hotel c) Well laid out room with ALL the expected needs catered for d) Retaurant area arranged in such a way as to give privacy whilst integrating you into the ambience of the event. Breakfast superb choice, evening meal at another level. All in all I can say that this would be on my list of nice ones to stay at with regards to the Melia brand and I'll certainly be looking for the same quality when arranging future business trips.

Perfect Hotel for who loves to stay in a place with good décor and comfortable rooms. We stay there few times, and everything went perfectly. On the check-out day I forgot my wedding ring in the Bathroom, but the hotel call me informing they found the ring during the cleaning. There is a SPA and a swimming pool. The out-side area is not huge but more than enough. Rooms very clean and modern style.

We ended up here after being stranded for unfortunate weather conditions. The staff were quite nice and patient given it was late at night and that everyone was quite irritable. We got a suite which was fantastic! Everything was clean and well laid out. Can't say much about the location but it didn't seem to be very central to the city of Braga since they are located right on the highway. More of a hotel if you plan to stay there the entire time. They have a spa so that makes it easier :)

Outstanding Hotel with amazing staff and amenities! Gorgeous decor. Beautifully landscaped. Great atmosphere in all areas! Great value for the price. Outstanding buffet and restaurant. Spacious clean and impecibly decorated. Awesome pool area and bar! Will be back in the future.

Nice hotel, good sized room with relaxing cool bath tub,,nice view of the city, yummy breakfast! The personal in the restaurant not very interestead , slow service, some not really speaking english :( and waitting forever for somebody to attend.

For a stay in Braga. Close to Bosch and close to the centre. Quiet, clean and valuable offers. The reception is polite and competent. So no worries, if you don't speak Portugese. Over all, good! Will stay here again!
