very central, easy to find, single room spacious. didnt try breakfast, Wi fi signal was stronger outside room but they were some sofas so i just sat there whenever i was around, No complaints. quiet at night time
The hotel was rather dirty. The breakfast poor and they didn't change my wet towels for 3 days. The internet signal was week. I could say ' get another place to stay' The plus are that is cheap and in the city center.
Rooms are very small and can be noisy. Breakfast is nice, but nothing special. Set a little back from the main road over a kind of mini shopping mall so the upper floors can be much quieter than the lower ones.
The rooms were very clean, and our room had two twin beds. The room next to us had three twin beds. We also had a television, large tub w/ shower. The staff was very friendly & helpful (& multiligual), and the location is great! Central to historic district. The beds are extremely firm. Too firm for us, but everything else was great. The rooms were also quiet, so we had a restful visit.
This small and reasonably priced hotel is ideally located if you are walking the Camino Portuguese (central route). The staff are friendly and helpful and the rate for the room includes a generous buffet-style breakfast with a range of different choices, including fresh fruit. I had a very comfortable night's sleep there - without any interruptions. I gave the hotel an overall score of 4 - on the basis that I couldn't find a hairdryer in my room and some of the soft furnishings were in need of updating.
This is a pleasant and functional hotel for a one or two night stay. The room we had was spacious without being large, and had a large closet plus a spacious and clean bathroom equipped with shampoo and soap. Beds are hard but comfy enough - pillows are hard, but we found a soft one in the closet. A continental breakfast is available for an additional fee: cereals, bread, ham and cheese, croissant, juices, coffee, and fruit. Functional but not special.
Quick stop over in Lisbon before we went on the Camino walk. had everything you need, small but clean modern rooms with breakfast wifi thrown in. Staff very helpfull. Short trip to airport and train station.
A very friendly clean and no nonsense hotel. We are on the Camino and had walked all day in rain so were extremely grateful for the bath. A little tip call ahead rather than use a booking service as fellow travellers paid 9 euros less because they mentioned they were pilgrims.
If you do not require a fancy hotel, this hotel will do. It is good to sleep in. Other than that there is not much else. In the room there is a bathroom with rest room, a television, air conditioning and a balcony view of the small shopping centre it is located near. The shopping centre is called 'Comercial do Terco'. If you require, there is a garage for people who have a car as the streets sometimes can be full, especially on Thursdays. The hotel is situated in a perfect location: next to the shopping centre of 'Comercial do Terco' and it is right on the centre of Barcelos where there are many attractions, shops, restaurants and good transport links to other areas.
Just finished by first day biking the Camino, April 2015. Good value, clean room, discount for pilgrims, garage parking for my bike, large and varied breakfast, and within walking distance of everything in town. Very helpful at the front desk - when they discovered I could not speak Portuguese, they called the manager who was very helpful. I would stay there again.
