13 days in paradise. Christina …Ilaria ....Anna...Guilia.... Marco....Giorgia.....Ramona......Graziano.....Antonello....… Un po piu per LA memoria, grazia. Where to begin, at the beginning, I supose, ha. There was a warm friendly welcome,as we arrived. A clean ,pleasant room, which had a much needed, air conditioning. Cleaned every day,by very polite staff, bravo. Now the breakfast, was delicious, copious amounts,to satisfy, even the greediest person, and I must admit,I did indulge myself. Ham omelette , and chocolate pastry's, how I miss them. Then the courtesy shown by the manger,as he conducted his orchestra, was exemplary. The waiters all followed suit, and were 5 star, one even had a very funny sense of humour, married I think,to the beautiful christina,on reception. How he managed to win the lottery of life, well I can only suppose. christina must have been drinking.ha .(a lot). The first night we went to the pizza place ,around the corner,( rocket pizza,as advised by reception), have I said mamma mia, what the hell, unbelievable. This is the best, having never tasted Italian pizza before,I realised, that the pizza I had been eating, else where in world, was just bread ,in comparrision. Mamma mia, had 5 different ,pizzas,on five different nights, and they were all, equally delicious. I dare you to disagree, and if you do,seek a doctors advise! The days went by fast, spent at the beach, each one recommended by the hotels staff. Sicily by car, rentals, at the airport, very polite,no hidden charges when we returned home, new vw polo, perfect, then its your turn to take on the pazzo Italian drivers, laugh as some 70 year old women cuts you up,and waves thankyou. Its surreal. Just know they stop on a hatpin to let someone cross the road. I know I invented some new Italian swear words! Now the conciliation. The worlds best beaches are here, pictures on the internet ,do not do them justice! My favourites, both free parking, lu impostu ,with the softest sand, crystal clear water letting you see all the fish, and the view, isola tavolara, perfection. Then there's cala coda cavello. Park at the top, and enjoy the picturesque walk down to the beach. The view will knock your socks off, breathtaking. The beach is long, and narrow, with pedellos, well worth the money, for the trip to the nearby island. Swim relax and enjoy and if you take a walk along the shore,go to the end,and turn the corner, to find a magical cove, filled with large rounded stones, the waters heaven. Then, Cannolis from the local supermarket, auchan,on the drive home, hmmmmm. Evening were spent by having a quick nap, needed, then finding a new restaurant, along main street through olbia, they are all good. One that stood out was called, I'll Porto vecio, seafood pasta, I'm salivating,as I write. Oh ,and a bottle of the house red wine. Plus if you fancy a snack,as you stroll back, I usually had some fried mussels from a little food shop, and my wife had a icecream, gellatto, and yes like the pizza ,its amazing. Did I put on weight, yes,a stone, but the memory, wonderful. So to summarize ,picked this hotel on price, which turned out to be 5 star, for the staff alone, beautiful people, hope it never changes. Do I recommend yes and no. The no because I would like it all for myself. Best holiday by far, mostly for the sardian people, che vita, bravo.
We've spent great 3 nights in this hotel. Rooms are great as well the whole hotel, breakfast and stuff. They are super helpful and kind. I highly recommend also hotel's SPA. You have to make reservation upfront but it's worth to be there. Before reserving this hotel I've found some bad opinions and to be honest I do not understand them at all. People claim that hotel is located in "slums". If for those people slums means that hotel is from one side located on a small and quite street and from the other side you have railroad trucks with only few trains per day and super quite room then I think such a people really spent time on looking for problems instead of enjoying life:).
Moved on to this Hotel after 2 nights in Hotel Panaroma. Very impressed with how professional ALL of the staff were. My room was a very good size and spotlessly clean. Location was good too. 10mins from the action. Breakfast area is bright and very good. the breakfast was very good with fresh fruit. Coffee could be better though. One day free spa was included and the Spa as well as the gym (free) were excellent. The Manager is doing a very good job there! Grazie mille
Good value for money at the hotel, nice with the free spa and welcome drink. The hotel is big and therefore also very impersonal, but that is how it is. The staff was helpful, but some of them spoke very bad English, which bad is difficult to communicate.
Checking in was a major issue. The first room had been used by smokers, then the key for the second room hadn't been programmed to put the lights on. Then there was difficulty getting on the wi-fi. Then the air conditioning didn't work. Didn't have any of these problems at other hotels on our trip. Would have been a good value hotel otherwise.
No athmosphere. No bar, just some tabels. No restaurant, just some snacks. The neighborhood: Old tracks, highway, crashed cars...more or less a 3 Star hotel without a spirit. No airport shuttle. 10 Euro entry for the pool/spa
It is worth the stay, with good prices and big and clean rooms. The only little problem is the Service. There are announcements calling the customers to the bars to have a drink and a great wine but when you got there the bartendants are eager to close the bar before the regular time and are not so friendly, not so pacient. They could do better in that, but besides that its a goot hotel, in a not so good city.
great hotel clean and big rooms breakfast was OK worth for the money even more the only thinks they must sort about the tour organisation if you go to madalena and buy ticket from the hotel they say 45 and when you arive on the ship they ask for 5 euro more and the bluesea tour is disaster you pay 80€ for 4hr tour and you dont see nothing worth for the money they take you to small boat and is only 4 person so im not recomend bluesea tour but madalena is great you have all day out so the hotel must emprouve much more about the tours but i recomend the hotell tnx
Staff is extremely nice at the desk. You may feel a little intimidated when you check in by the back door as entrance isn't nice at all. Breakfast ok. Beds ok. Since early in the morning you hear cleaning staff, vacuuming. All bedroom doors face a huge hall where breakfast is served, besides the restaurant room. This means waking up early with the evoking of the crockery and cutlery.
The hotel is very central located, in one of the main roads of Olbia. Big outdoor parking place for autos with surveillance. Walking to the city center -10-15 min is safe. Breakfast was good- good juices, different sorts of bread, cheese, ham, cereals, nuts, fruits, very good scramble eggs... Rooms- confortable even the matress are a bit old. Staff- reception does a exceptional work, both in attention and information. I would refer Antonello, took very much care of us. At breakfast helpfull as well. The only negative point is housekeeping- i noticed that there is no service in the afternoon and at night. Besides , bathtowels missed, beds not carefully made.... It is the only negative point i noticed. Would of course return to this hotel , based on location and staff treat. Noticed that in 2018 they will have a nice swimming pool area. Didnt use spa - a little overpriced.
