Absolutely fantastic hotel !!!! Location amazing!!! Beaches beautiful!! Food awful, tiny portions and very expensive!! Breakfast limited and same everyday! The view from our room was amazing of both the pool and the sea. The pool was lovely although freezing. Hire car definitely advisable and the local supermarket has a brilliant range of food and wine - gin €4 a bottle wine-€1:79! We use to get these and have them for lunch with local meats/ cheeses all very cheap and delicious! Would return to hotel but now know to eat out every night.
We booked this hotel hoping for a peaceful and relaxing stay. At this price you would expect the service and facilities to be at better level. Where do we start... Luckily we had a car booked from the airport as the hotel is very remote with very twisty and steep access road. Nearest restaurant is 30-40 minutes walk. You do have an option to eat dinner at the hotel for €10 per person for salad bar or €33 pp for full dinner ( drinks not included ). On the menu you see few other options but staff always insist on 2 options only. We ended up taking more expensive one just once and we weren't impressed at all (see example menu on the picture). Breakfast is served at the beautiful courtyard with swimming pool and sea view however food options are very limited and number of wasps flying to your plate is unbelievable. Staff is trying to deal with it by burning coffee which makes your clothes stink for a day and if you are not a smoker it is a very unpleasant experience. At the reception we were offered "free" upgrade to the "premium sea view" room but you could not see anything and shower was terrible with very strong smell of cleaning products and occasional toilet smell too. Grouts in the shower were covered by black dirt which could be easily cleaned (in seconds, we tried) but looks like management is not bothered (see photos). Our rooms had a locked door to another apartment and from day 3 you could hear full conversations of the neighbours. Walls are also very thin and you can work out what tv show someone is watching next door. Basically every night you will be woken up by noise. Advertised beach is just a pile of sand where the loungers are, the actual beach is made of stones and rocks with big waves so we managed to scratch our feet on day one. Sardinia is famous for beautiful beaches therefore please don't penalise yourself by using the one next to hotel. Within 15-40 minutes drive you will find little heavens. Finally the bar. Local beer at €5, sandwich €6-8 you pay less in top restaurants in nearby towns! Some Staff are also very fussy. It's my first review with such a low score. Shame as hotel has great potential!!!
Small and lovely hotel. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The rooms are good size. Wifi only in the lobby which in this day and age is no good. The beach at the hotel is no good for kids but there's a great one 5 minutes drive away. I would go back
I came here with a group of friends and firstly you need a car to get here as you go up and down the steep mountains to get here but the roads are super smooth and safe. This hotel has a lot of character to it as it's very Sardinian, beautiful flowers everywhere, we had the sea view which was so beautiful to look at everyday. The rooms are very spacious, both myself and another room had a massive king size bed and a single bed in it too! Breakfast was lovely as you get a good choice. The best part was the boat trip literally in the hotel. Rent a boat for half the day including skipper, he will take you around the island and to other islands, stop off for a great swim too!
Stayed here for just under a week. Had a lovely time. When we arrived the receptionist advised us that she had upgrade us to a junior suite. Our luggage was taken to our room for us. Beautiful balcony in the room overlooking the deep blue sea. The room was a great size although the bathroom was pretty small and basis. The hotel has two private beaches - one sandy and one grass - both less than five minutes walk from the hotel with lots of sun loungers. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. You definitely need to hire a car staying at this hotel so you can visit all of the lovely towns nearby. The town of Porto Rotondo takes less than 10 minutes to drive to and has lots of lovely restaurants. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a little basis but has everything you need and the views of the sea from the swimming pool and when sitting outside for breakfast are incredible. Just bare in mind that the hotel does have quite a lot of steps so if you have poor mobility it may not be ideal for you but they do have ramps.
Excellent breakfast with vegetable smoothies, hot food, variety of cakes ... Great and comfortable room overlooking the sea. You can snorkel in the sea and see many different fishes. Strange the the hotel pool closes over lunchtime
Really beautiful hotel with an amazing view. The beach in front of it is not appropriate to swim but 5 min away there is a gorgeous beach with turquoise water. We hired one of the boats in front of it-great experience. The food is very delicious and the rooms and nice and clean. We will definitely be coming back.
We spent 5 days there. The staff were really kind and professional, specially in the port restaurant. The food was reaaly good both in the breakfast and dinner. The pool was nice, and the private beach cozy and comfortable.
Nice room with balcony. Nice beach. Dirty bathroom, bad smel all the time, terrible, dirty bar with very expensive prices! Bad singer in bar every night. Expensive wine 7 eur. Breakfest very pour for 4 stars hotel. Cafee and tea in breakfesf are not included ! Terrible system
This may be the worst overpriced location i have ever been to in all my years as a travler in Europe. I booked this place in the spring and the price for 3 three nights for to persons in a junior suit was a bit over 600 euros, and at that cost you expect a certain standard. The page at bookings.com for the resort advertised for two privat beaches at the property, which turned out to be a stoney shore with at thin layer of sand. The room we first got looked like it was draged out from an 80's movie, looked nothing like the pictures on the bookingpage. The bed was to singelbed spliced together so there was a large gap between them, to make it complete the one bed had a broken leg and it was wobley when you laid down. The refrigiator did not work, there where black mould in the shower and there were small lizards in the room. We reported this to the receptionist and the sendt a janitor to fix the issues but he gave up after a couple of minutes. On the pluss side we got a new room, which was a bit better better. The food in the restaurant was horrible prefabricated, reheated, tasted nothing and was very expensiv. 29 euroes pr pax, and 15 euros for breakfeast. You have to pay for anything. There is also a waste to stay here if you dont have a car since it very difficult to get away from the resort without since it's far away form everything and anything. There are alot of other places on Sardinia you can stay at a much lower cost and looks and serves much better.
