It's a very old hotel, with very old rooms and absolutely not friendly neither warm people. One of the worst experience of all my life ! The hotel has 4 stars but are really immotivated; it worths 2 stars maximum. Only ord German customers are there with big tour operators and the atmosphere is like a sort of hospice for retired people. Very unfriendly people, especially at the reception and at the swimming pool, where you feel like at school (take the shower before to go in ! do not jump ! do not hang on the wall! do not walk on the grass !!!). The value of the hotel is not more one third of what I paid for (320 euros/night). Avoid to go there !!! Avoid ! Avoid !! It's a sort of psicopatic place...

The colonna hotel is a nice hotel.. Rooms: clean but due to the AC there is a "small smell" of "moisture! Staff: absolutely nice and willing to help you ! Easy going and professional. I have to say I was really pleased by their attitudes. Breakfast: not much to say ... Standard ! Not too many choices. My overall experience was great ! I will recommend this hotel.

We have been here with wife for 8 days and feeling from the hotel is not completely good. Hotel is on the beach which is no good located, because there is not bay and sea is open and a wind has blowed really strongly. Room were clean and big with large balcony but inside was bad smell like from mildew. Room servis was good. Hotel is in the alone place and first small city with restaurants and bars is very far and transport connection was almost never to this place. And what was for us so stressfull, that the hotel have not ATM for cash!!!! If you have no enough cash, will not go there. We were on the other side very satisfied with kitchen and food. It was delicious and very variously.

I travel to Sardinia every summer for business. This was our first time to stay at the Colonna Beach. I loved my attic style room ( 412) I never made breakfast but the staff were very kind and got to know I like biscuits and Nuttela when I eventuality wake up. Dinner was delicious every evening. I loved the fact it wasn't a buffet. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. A big thanks to the wonderful bar man Alberto. We will be back.

We were staying a week from June 6-July 5, 2016 The hotel resort looked rather like a village with beautiful carefully maintained gardens. As for cuisine - I 've never seen so many delicious food together before (it was absolutely comparable to five-star hotel) , and the view from the restaurant was breathtaking ... The beach was nice and very clean and our kids also loved both pools. We were overall very satisfied, and we love to come back again.

The food was very good especially the dinners, which were all 4 courses with some lovely choices. However, there were some interesting translations, for instance sole was written as 'soil', which made us laugh, and their 'pies' were more like 'tarts', but that all added to the holiday rater than detract from it. The room was large and pleasant, with a good view of the pool, gardens and the sea, it was comfortable and the bathroom towels were changed daily. It had air conditioning which was needed. It has a lovely pool with loungers all around. It was a very short walk to the beach & we were given a pass for sun loungers on arrival. Lovely andy beach, clean too. There was a beach restaurant which sold lovely salads, coffee, beers, & other snacks. Locally there are a few other restaurants. We used the bus to travel around, but if you wish to do a lot of sight seeing then car hire would be advisable, and I have to say that I only saw really sensible driving while I was there. The staff in the hotel were very friendly & accommodating, giving us bus/train timetables and also booked a boat trip for us around a few of the islands. The price I thought was reasonable. The only negative I have is if you drink coffee at breakfast, have a cappuccino, as the other coffee on offer was awful, and I'd avoid the tea too!! I would certainly return for another visit.

Was here for 2 nights, and had very bad experience. It's a pricy hotel, with low standards. The hotel needs to be maintained/upgraded. Breakfast was very simple. Beach was a long walk away, and beach staff very unpolite. Denied towels. Denied sunbed and umbrella on the day of check-out. Despite that half the beach was empty. Not a recommended choice of stay !

Breakfast: too simple and the same every day, the only choice is an omelette with a bacon; hard to eat this again and again the whole week; the fruits could be more fresh given that this is Italy! The lunches as well as drinks in the bar are a bit overpriced (EUR 30 per person), but probably it is a normal price for Sardinia... Room: even though we took a 'low-cost' room for appr. EUR 800-900 per week, we did not expect to get a quality of less than the 2-star hotel, the room needs to be renovated urgently! Look at the above comments for the pictures!!! The TV does not work, there is no Wi-Fi in the room despite it was announced, therefore most of the guests had to sit in the lobby for the internet searching. No light on the balcony, impossible to enjoy short night drinks or dinner there. Beach: a typical Sardinian beach, rather clean, but would not recommend lying on the sand; the advantage are umbrellas and sunbeds included into the price of the room (appr. EUR 140-210 per week if arranged separately). We spent only three days on this beach and had to pay extra EUR 20-30 per 2 hours in other places. So it is up to you to decide whether it is worth it. The area with sunbeds is too way overcrowded. Guests: mostly Italians, 30% Eastern Europeans (Ukraine, Poland, Hungary), a big advantage - not many Russians! Island: mostly good impressions except for a number of rude drivers and general non-compliance with the traffic rules on the roads. Unlike in other touristic countries, you do not feel to be much welcomed in Italy, unfortunately! Overall: Sardinia is generally overpriced; would recommend spending more time on finding the right hotel or to look for another place of a better value for the same money.

Quite pleased with our 10 night stay with halfboard. Coming to Sardegnia you will have to accept that prices are well above any other other european destinations. In comparison with other countries the cost of hotel and goods does not make it our best value/price holiday, but if you are coming to Sardegnia, this hotel is a good, safe choice. Improvement areas: Definitely chose the sea view rooms. We tried the ground floor standard rooms, but the lack of natural light took away that holiday mood, so we upgraded to the sea view as soon as we could. Hotel and room interior is traditional, for our taste it was too rustic, not a deal breaker. The 4* is not adequate for the standard rooms, more like 3*. Location-Hard to reach after hours by public transport, no lively towns in walking distance. Airport taxi costs 55 eur. Breakfast- typical, low profile italian (ham, cuts, cheese, croissant, eggs). You would need to adjust your expectations coming from other countries. I found the scrambled eggs particularly unattractive, watery, runny without a flavour on all days. I wish the eggs were prepared differently or with more variety. Bar and drinks- pricepoint is just too high for you to have an occasional drink carelessly. Dinner water 0.7-3eur, cocktails 10eur, aperol 8eur, beer 0.33 5eur (all brands). I hope management would review the price policy of refreshments and make it more affordable. We stepped out to a supermarket to get the same water for 0,60 cents, beer for 0,99 cents. I would not hesitate a second paying 2-3x times of that rather than doing trips to the store. The bar has a lot of potential which is not capitalized on. Happy hours, aperitive hours would be great with a bit of patio furnitute upgrade, pool service would be great addition. Other services They help with excursion offers and basic transportation timetables, but missing an airport transfer deal, rental services or trip agencies to be on site on certain days for a personal interaction. IMO its not the frontdesk who should deal with the bookings. + Customer Service, staff is superior, hands down! Flexible and professional. Wifi blasts in all rooms and at the pool. Dinner was awesome. Do not worry about food quality, you will be pleased. Individually served, not a buffet style. Starter, primero, secundo with 4 options each and dessert. The waiters serve you with class, attention to details and speed. Our waiter Angelo was great. Live pianist played in the background each night. Take the halfboard! Beach A section is reserved for the hotel. 2 sunbeds, sunbrella, beach towel included! Turquois water, sandy, clean and maintainned. Pool Clean, spacious for a few strokes. Special thanks to the frontdesk, we checked out at 10am, but stuck around the pool till 3pm when our train left. They offered a room to shower and get changed.

+ The dinner in the restaurant is very good + The service in the hotel and in the restaurant is really good, as expected of a Colonna hotel. Clean rooms. - The pool is dirty. And not clean on the botton (rest of hair, plastic...) - The pool do not have any shadow. The safeguard is only worry in make sure the parasols are closed (just if it is a little windy), so it is impossible to lay in July with a little shadow. The safeguard is not looking to the swimming pool, only looking at the telephone, computer, talking to the friends, high music, smoking, and fighting to the poor tourist that just want a hamaca in the shadow. -The pool is shared with the apartments nearby which it makes not the expected hotel pool of a 4 stairs hotel, but a public pool. Not stated in the hotel web. - The beach is overcrowded, the sea is split in squares, so it makes impossible to swøm 200 meters without finding a rope and buoys (both deep and wide). I really do not recommend that location. So we expected to have a final stay in our tour in Sardinien in a luxus hotel, and it was the more disappointing experience due to the pool service.
