Wonderful position and stunning views . My room had a charming terrace and was spacious The restaurant was exceptionally good as was the bar.i am already looking forward to my return there .
Large room, exceptional helpful and friendly staff, excellent recommendations received from Christian the concierge. No extra charge for car parking (this may have been that I am an SPG Gold member). If driving - go through the boomgate to get to hotel reception.
Due to traveling out of season we did not have as many options as would normally be available but from what was available Cervo Hotel stood out with reviews and price far from the others. Part of the hotel was closed at the time we visited and it was very quiet around the ground but this suited us as we were looking for a relaxing break. There was some renovations going on but they were not close to our room so these did not cause us any disruptions. The hotel is not as big is it looks from the pictures, you can easily walk around the ground and find anything you need without getting lost. The shops located around the hotel are extremely over priced but if you are willing to pay the extra for being away then they are worth a visit. We only ate breakfast in the hotel so can't provide a thorough review on the restaurants or bars. But the breakfast itself was not varied enough in my opinion, there was a selection of continental breakfast areas with cold meats, cereal breads, pastry etc but I think it would benefit greatly from a cooking station and mixing up the options as we had the same options everyday. The service is one of the places where I feel the hotel excelled, it felt like a very person feel. When ever we passed the concierge we were greeted by name and asked about the previous recommendations given to us. Although the area is know for being expensive the concierge recommended a variety of restaurants that allowed us to experience tradition well priced food as well as the up market high end venues. They also advised on places to visit and best routes to take etc, unfortunately we had some rain whilst we were there but we were provided with Umbrellas and towels to take away with us. The Pool is adequately sized and the lifeguard was always in attendance and very friendly and helpful. We found a cafe just outside the hotel (Renato Pedrinelli) on our last day, which was reasonably priced and they were able to make us a cooked breakfast with drinks for less then 30 euros. If you are happy to miss the busy time of year this place is well situated for exploring and there are enough restaurants near by to keep you going for a week. Must dine in belvedier (see my review) if you visit this area
It was our baby moon. Comes august we will become parents and well holidays will not be a priority. for a while. my wife never been to sardinia and she of course knew about Porto Cervo's reputation. i booked Cervo after a raffle between Cala di Volpe and Romazzino. Great choice. Hotel couldn't be more central and quieter. June great time to go, right before the stampede of foreign money come pouring in, something I truly always like to avoid. we given room 130. next to hall and with few steps. nice room on the little canal as I had asked. not a big room but enough for us two. nice bathroom and closet for our clothes. a balcony added a final touch. at the moment it has no restaurant and uses a near by one called Pomodoro, where we ate several times at very good prices. rare in porto cervo. nice breakfast with views over harbour and sea. a nice swimming pool, not the largest but enough for now. later in the season i m sre it will not accomodate all. all staff very very helpful and nice, we want to thank the concierges that looked after our car and gave us lots of informations. a big thank you to Tullio Luigi and Christian. sorry there is another one but i seem to have forgotten his name. one thing i would improve is replacing the carpets in the hall and on the way to rooms. looks very tired and unbecoming of Cervo standing. again. a great stay. we will come back.
We had the pleasure of staying in the hotel for 3 nights! The decor, ambience, demeanour of the staff is truly 5 star. Our room was just lovely and fundamentally the bed in terms of comfort level was just fantastic! Being 27 weeks pregnant this was ideal. The main draw back of the hotel is the price point of basic items, water, tea etc is catering only for the millionaires coming off the yachts. I appreciate the hotel has a cache to maintain but irrespective of your wallet size common sense in terms of what you pay for some items should stay. We loved our time there and the hotel is ideally located. In my view 3 days was plenty as Cervo itself has not much to offer apart from fabulous food!! Main advice have a large budget if going to the hotel!
We stayed here four nights - the hotel has a classic Italian ‘luxe’ style, which for the untrained eye can look a bit old-school (or outdated) but it’s quite similar to luxury hotels on the Amalfi Coast...think colourful tiles, vintage furniture and hand made linen. Since we stayed in the beginning of May, this was considered low-season and a lot of the restaurants at the hotel were still closed, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel only has one pool which wasn’t heated and there is no real spa, so if the weather is bad, options are limited. The room we had was spotless - probably the best housekeeping I had in a long time. The bed was very comfortable and the shower strong. Staff were friendly in general and the concierge was great in giving directions. You can walk to the marina and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes to enjoy. The hotel is sat amongst a luxury outdoor mall, with the usual luxury brands, so don’t expect unique shopping unless it’s LV, Prada etc. you’re looking for. All in all a good experience and I can recommend the place.
- bathroom not clean, mushrooms in shower - very hot in room, condition doesn't work - breakfast very poor, every day the same and not fresh - staff (at breakfast) very unfriendly and arrogant; any service - very poor price-service-ratio: max. a 3-star hotel, but not for this price!!
Porto Cervo was the natural destination for a (very) late summer break destination in Sardinia, and the Cervo Hotel did not disappoint. The hotel is utterly charming. Ours were a large room with balcony and views to the canal & sea, with a beautiful sunrise light. The hotel external patios offer a great option to enjoy the breakfast or an afternoon drink overlooking the ocean. The internal bar is an elegant, more formal place with music -- the presentation of the drinks was very nice, but the cocktails not as good as I had expected. Their restaurant offered a good menu but our best dining experiences were in fantastic restaurants around town (strongly suggest trying the Belvedere!). The hotel staff, however, is absolutely 10/10. The airline lost our luggage and the Concierge & front desk team were incredibly helpful - we felt a warm welcome from beginning to end of our stay. The hotel is located in the very middle of the famous Piazza of Porto Cervo, so expect some shopping buzz. The location in Costa Esmeralda makes easy for exploring the region and all of north Sardinia -- even a day trip to Tharros was accomplished with ease. Heartly recommend Cervo Hotel.
wonderful island porto cervo.....up north the coast line..........francis coppola made the movie black stallion.....was on a sailing ship called pierrot.......sailing from england to sardinia...with many stops on the way...was there in the 70is...arnielli FIAT had his swan there........with crew....a fast boat..............wonderful times
My God this place is absolutely perfect destination for summer holidays, hotel is right in the heart of Porto Cervo surrounded with classy shops and restaurants, room was fantastic, cosy Mediterranean style with adequate details decor were was added generous welcome treat on the house. The pictures of the official website are actually so accurate, what you see is what you get! (Unfortunately there are so many other hotels use tricky pictures to attract visitors but reality is so disappointing and as a tourist you have not much to do in this cases except to let others know about it) Bed make our sleep so comfortable, and the veranda of the room was so pleasant place to enjoy our very morning coffee. Breakfast was excellent, full of healthy variety, we had lunch at La Pergola who have a stunning view I’ve the old Pier, diner at Il Pescatore both being beyond the expectations and we spent lively evening at Bar Cervo where we all were singing “Tarantella” We use the facility of Pitrizza hotel to enjoy the beach which is heavenly beautiful, where we had breakfast and lunch, breakfast was excellent but lunch is definitely a must try, so many variety of dishes, grilled fishes and seafood are served on the spot, that it satisfy the most epicurean taste!! Other day we booked diner at Cala di Volpe where we enjoy lovely cocktails at the bar surrounded with live music after being at Nobu which is a top notch restaurant I want to mention that for all this places we made reservations in advance You guys rock in everything means hotelier offers and service!!! A standing ovation for all of you!!!We receive a Winter Holidays card who confirms once again that you really known what you are doing!!!!! Thank you all to make our stay a magnificent one!!!
