If you don't mind walking, this is a great location for a hotel. You are literally right at the end of the Rambla, the main tourist thoroughfare through town. You can walk to the opposite end near the old town, at the promenade, in about 15 minutes. The rooms are neat and clean, if spartan.
We booked this 40 mins prior to arrival as we were struggling to find anywhere to stay on our journey from Spain to France. Check in was quick and efficient. They had secure underground parking which cost 11euro for the night, which as were travelling on our motorbike, we made use of. Our room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. We had a drink and light meal that evening in the bar area. Food was ok and service was very slow. Breakfast the next morning cost 7euro per person and was a basic continental breakfast - nothing much to write home about- but ok.
I stayed for just one night and found it very average. Location is OK, I had a rental car and got to the center in less than 10 minutes. Staff is very friendly and eager to help and the free parking lot is a big plus. However, the wifi is way too slow, barely enough to read online news. Breakfast was cheaper than usual, but even so I felt it wasn't worth as the offering is very limited. No hot dishes, only a couple of pastisseries. My room was very clean and spacious, however the extra bed for my son looked and felt exactly like a hospital bed, he ended up sleeping with us in the big bed. It was OK for a stop over in Tarragona, but I'm not sure I would stay there again in my next visit to the city.
Great stop over hotel. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Hotel very clean, room very spacious for family of 4 plus a dog. Dog pack of dog bed, water bowl, food bowl and poo bags provided - nice touch. Nice walk straight down to the seafront and old town.
We spent 10 nights at this hotel in a quadruple room (with a 12 & 15 year old) which was clean and spacious. The room was air conditioned, quiet despite being on only the 3rd floor, and there was plenty of hot water from the shower. The bed was very wide & comfy & extra blankets can be had from reception if needed. I cannot fault the service in all areas which was friendly and helpful at all times. In particular Rafa on reception was so supportive & made many suggestions of places in the vicinity to visit and printed out the details. He also delivered a kettle & 4 cups within 5 minutes of being asked if we could borrow one. Bring/buy your own tea/coffee & the Spar shop just behind the hotel has milk. The hotel also assisted in buying online & printing our tickets to Port Aventura saving long queues once there. The self service continental breakfast was generous, with at least 4 pastries available (often still warm) which varied during our stay, also fresh fruit, children's cereals, yoghurts, bread for toasting, cheese & cold meats, basically more than you could eat! Evening meals were tasty and offered a good variety but there are a variety of places to eat handy to the hotel and plenty in the old town after a 15-20 min walk. Towels were changed as often as you needed just follow the instructions in the bathroom to know what to do. We did find the wireless Wi-Fi connection variable (better in the morning usually) but there is a socket in the wall for a cable which I imagine would work better for a laptop. More towel hanging space as we were 4 would be good & a shower curtain helpful to minimise splashes on the floor but there were plenty of towels to use as a foot mat so it didn't cause us any problems. It was well situated with bus stops to the town opposite on the roundabout (6 Euro for 4 each way anywhere in town) Useful to get the number 16 to the best beach, L'Arrabassada, as it's a bit far to walk in the heat. Easy & pleasant walk into town & short walk to the bus station for buses to Port Aventura, Reus etc. Lots to see in Tarragona which was very clean, tranquil & friendly. All in all we had a great holiday and this hotel was a welcome retreat at the end of the day. We would happily return or use this chain again.
The positives are location and the room was clean, bed comfy and it was quiet. It has no gym, pool etc which is a shame but its a functional business hotel at the end of the day i guess. The breaksfast isnt great, its a self serve continental setup but with limited options and poor coffee facilities. Wifi was patchy although did improve during my stay, TV channels very limited. I probably would look elsewhere next time but only due to lack of facilities, its fine for a short business trip and the staff were friendly. It was very cheap.
The location is 15 min by foot from the central bus station and also local buses leave directly at the round-about in front of the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and from my room in the 8-th floor I had a nice view. Most of the personnel was friendly except one old receptionist who refused to help me to find out when the buses to the theme park leave. The breakfast was also only low average.
I only stayed here briefly as I had an early bus to the airport the next morning but the hotel was good. Having lived in Tarragona for some time, I know the location of this hotel is not bang in the centre of the city, but it is an easy 10 minute walk to the majority of the city centre and only 5 minutes more to the old town. However, this is still very close and as Tarragona is a city that lacks classic chain-type simple and functional hotels, this would be a good choice for any visitor. The actual hotel itself was good, check in and check out was quick and easy, the room was large and well furnished. The bathroom was fine and the wifi good. I also know that local universities/institutes often use this hotel for visiting guests/interviewees so clearly the local community also think this is a good hotel.
Very well located and easy to find. Room very large for a family of 4 with a safe box. Breakfast served in the cafe at ground level and if you are lucky weather wise you can have it outside on the terrace. Staff very helpful and unknown to us the car park was included since we booked directly through the website of the hotel, saving 11 Euros. Parking is very outside in the streets around the hotel. I would recommend this hotel
I stayed for 2 days being in a business trip in Tarragona. Good location, clean room, with a fluctuating Wi-fi signal, nice view and nice staff. The restaurant of the hotel is too small so at all times you have to wait to be seated. Also the meniu is sub-standard, for example at breakfast they do not serve eggs or any kind of warm meal. If you stay at this hotel do yourself a favour and eat in the city.
