Avoid double rooms with connecting doors, you will feel sleeping with your neighbors ! Except this, the view is amazing (sea side), interior design is very cosy, food excellent and employees very kind.
We have been in this hotel at least 8 times and it's the first time we are disappointed by the service : - room allocated for 3 people (3 adults on a price point of view) = very small and not direct on the front sea side (over other rooms terraces and restaurant roofs) - the fridge in the room was not working. We lost food we bought on purpose as it always worked during our previous trips. Front desk has been kind to offer us a bottle of Cava but still... fridge should have been replaced or another room proposed - we had 3 free entrances to the SPA (value > 30 euros) that we wanted to exchange against soft drinks at the bar of the hotel. Answer from the front desk = NO ! I hope our next stay for christmas time will be different to remove this average impression. For sure the hotel location is still fantastic but please treat your faithful customers with more small attentions than less attentions...
Liked everything exept stone´s in hotel´s beach / sea line.. and Spa experience would be better if you could use Finnish sauna as it should be used = throw water to stone´s allowed.. ;-) Breakfast exellent..
Generally happy with our stay. We went there in August. The pluses (+) - loved the breakfast outside in the sun (it is hot in August but I liked it the view was amazing) - the view and beach amazing The minuses (-) - food at breakfast is ok but not fabulous - we had a room above the bar (those are the rooms with the sea view) and it is really noisy at night. A few nights per week there is a band playing till midnight or just before. It was impossible to sleep or watch a movie. - the sea view room was not as expected. As I said we were above the terrasse and bar. I would have hope for an atmosphere more romantic above the sea. Other rooms either have no balcony or close to the swimming pool. My understanding is that there are no sea views rooms directly above the sea. - generally was very expensive and not as luxurious as expected for the price, saying that everything is expensive at the Costa Brava and as you can see I still gave it 4 stars as we did enjoy our stay there and the staff was nice.. though impossible to try and learn Spanish as they all speak French or English... - there is a parking but there is a cost per night.
Will recommend this hotel (quite expensive but worthy). Room with a view on the sea better, or in front of the sea even better. Excellent and well equipped exercise room. Access to the beach, a must for a family. Maybe need more deck chairs at the swimming pool. Need to draft some guidelines for parking places as many customers used to park on two places!
Fantastic views from most of the rooms over the water. Located on a rocky outcrop. Quiet location, need a car to get to local areas/restaurants. Plenty of parking available at reasonable cost. Option to swim in the ocean and lie on the sand was great.
We had a great stay at Silken Park Hotel. It is a spacious horel set on a clifftop. Wonderful views and rooms and the food was great too. A plentiful breakfast was had on the balcony every morning. And the Spa was good too. We were celebrating a birthday so were thankful to the hotel for the upgraded room and bottle of cava. Also thanks to Clara and Nil for hosting me so kindly.
Excellent position on the seaside, easly reachable with good services and friendly staff. I would recommend the rooms with sea view as there is a wonderful sunrise . The bar service is excellent offering meals from the morning till 23! A good note also for the restaurant with good quality/price
The hotels location is top. Great views and a nice beach down the cliff. Average points on friendlyness, room size and breakfast. Bar prices are too high. You can even park the car in the hotel area for free. For everything you have to get you wallet out. Amazing how greedy guys get.
We concur with the earlier review relating to weddings. We were there probably at the same time with 3 weddings on consecutive days Fri, Sat ,Sun. A consequence of these and without any prior notification or apology from the hotel management that there would be inconvenience and residents nights' sleep could be disturbed. These weddings resulted in most of the terrace being unavailable to guests, restaurant change and worst of all the noise in the evening in 2 cases going on until the early hours of the morning. On the other occasion the 'music' should have finished at 10:30. If fact it was nearer 11pm and only then after 2 telephone call and a visit to reception when I instructed them to sort out the overstay. Reception were oblivious of the disruption and appeared to have no authority. Our complaint was duly recorded by reception and were told the manager would contact us next day. Nothing resulted over the next 5 days! Perhaps this is indicative of staff attitude being reflected from the top downwards - couldn't careless attitude. We were there for 11 nights and on a half board arrangement. The evening meal menus didn't change, was restrictive and of average quality. Since our day of departure was before breakfast the hotel kindly offered a picnic pack. Well 3 small rolls, 1 banana, 1 plum and a small bottle of water and this was for 2 !!. The hotel appears to be popular with transit clients staying only a few days not people on longer stays. In our experience don't expect a quiet, relaxing holiday if wedding are planned and beware of the carefree attitude from the staff.
