Stayed here for 1 night. We had a room in the basement which was just a little disappointing to what I was expecting from when we turned up as the building looked amazing. Firstly..the room was immaculately clean and pleasant, however for the price we paid I felt it didn’t meet up to our expectations .. The welcome letter was addressed to someone else ( maybe the previous guest), we wanted to order a bottle of wine in our room but there was no information in the room about room service etc etc so we didn’t order one. There was no information in the room for the WiFi password...i tried to phone reception...no answer...so I walked up to reception..however the man on reception didn’t have a clue what the WiFi password was..however he kindly brought it to our room 15 minutes later and the signal when we got it was very weak.. In the meantime, I had a shower and the handset broke off the wall in my hand so for the rest of the stay We rinsed under the bath tap because the taps were annoyingly complicated and we couldn’t work them ( don’t laugh as there were no instructions on them!!). There was no tea or coffee making facilities, no complimentary water... low quality furniture in the room and not enough of it. The jacuzzi bath on the patio was a real treat, however it took 35-45 minutes to fill and there was only one privacy screen ( giving you privacy only directly to your neighbour) and no privacy to the garden which was not a private garden. Would have been nice to have extra towels by the jacuzzi bath..so had to use previous wet ones we had used earlier. We arrived at breakfast at 10.45am ( a little late I suppose) however the warmers for the food had been turned off..so the scrambled egg, sausages and bacon were stone cold. 😏..oh and breakfast wasn’t included in the £250 room charge but we were charged €3> for a bottle of water out of the mini bar. It would have been lovley to have a little information in the room about th history of the hotel etc. I really don’t want to be negative about this hotel as it could be a fantastic stay if all of the little bits didn’t add up. If I would have paid £80 for this room, I would have been happier however at £250 I was not and didn’t feel that it was worth it sorry. The staff however were very pleasant and courteous.
Our stay has been wonderful. It's a really wonderful place, amazing... We would have liked to stay longer. The hotel and the treatment, fantastic. Decorated with very good taste and very pleasant and attentive staff. As we are from Dublin and we didn’t know the place, they informed us very well before the arrival and when we arrived, to feel comfortable in our environment, so great. We had a very nice and complete room. Excellent decoration, very comfortable and spacious bed and a very beautiful bathroom. We were able to enjoy a fantastic and very complete breakfast in the room. The Spa a very nice area where you can enjoy peace. It has a privileged environment to get away. It has magnificent gardens and very well maintenance. We really like nature, and luckily we had very good weather and we enjoyed it a lot. We will repeat the experience, very appealing.
Really gorgeous hotel in a magnificent natural setting - it was such an occasion to drive into the property. The staff are very friendly but as we came just before the summer rush we had to constantly "look" for service. The highlight was the restaurant L'India - inventive, delicious meals not overly complicated or too clever where you don't recognize what you're eating! Could do more to engage the guests to enjoy the hotel more e.g.offer drinks on the lovely front porch to watch the sunset. All possible but you had to ask rather than being offered - maybe different during the high summer months. Only one brickbat - WiFi is patchy, dependent on where your room is located.Still a very good stay in a gorgeous hotel in an extraordinary setting. Would recommend the splurge.
Hotel Sant Pere del Bosc is hidden away in the hills above the seaside town of Fanels/Lloret De Mar. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel itself is quite nice, clean and well presented but the gardens and general surrounds are a bit tired. The gardens need to be weeded and tidied up, the pool area while nice is a little rough with the finishes and the furniture needs to be revamped. Our room was lovely but the air con was very noisy so we moved but still the air con was the same. Breakfast eat morning was great. The best thins about the hotel was the staff, they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help us. To stay at the hotel you definitely need a car as it is up a dirt road into the hills.
Tonight my wife and I dined at the hotel Sant Pere del Bosc restaurant - L'india. It was a delicious meal in a superb setting. Service by our cheerful hostess Lomi was excellent and so warm and friendly. There was a complementary glass of moscato to start and then we had the smoked chicken summer salad with mustard vinegarette which was so fresh and tasty. Loved the textural addition of the nuts and crispy fried shallots. The confit cod with spinach was amazing but, the star of the show was without doubt the iberico secreto - the best I've had. So tender and juicy with the pork, and the sauce so aromatic. Loved it. Will be back for sure for another meal.
This beautiful hotel in the heart of Costa Brava , in an idillic and stunning location, gave us the relax we needed by the pool and in the comfortable but unique rooms. The staff were very helpful and acomodating specially Eugenia in reception a very charming and efficient lady that help us in our questions and request at the hotel and around the area. Also the food was delicious...we will be back!
Five days of bliss. Stunning location, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, sumptuous meals and great facilities. However it was the staff who really made our visit so special. They were so warm and welcoming. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and nothing was too much effort for them. Truly outstanding. We will definitely return. Neale and Andrea Hare
We stumbled across this hotel by accident on a run along a dirt track. It really took our breath away! It appears most unexpectedly in amongst the trees and in the middle of nowhere. We returned the next day with our children and had a lovely lunch round the pool and were allowed to use the pool and the lovely outdoor beds around it. The views are amazing. The vibe is wonderfully relaxed (there are only 19 rooms in the hotel so it never feels busy). The food (and mojitos!) were delicious no the staff wonderfully accommodating. In fact, the receptionist ever took the time to show us round the rooms (which were exquisite). We will definitely return to stay there. If you want a peaceful (but not stuffy), oasis style break (and you have a car!) this is the place for you.
Very unique place, extremely calm, ideal to relax. Nice rooms, great views. Bit need to improve the details in order to offer a real high level experience: there seemed to be a lack of staff and the spa experience could have been better.
3 kms of dirt road was easy. Beautiful setting with great walks and views . Lovely pool area and grounds are superb. Room was excellent and restaurant great. Staff were fantastic. We had a very relaxing 3 days and enjoyed it immensely. We hope to get back!
