Excellent atmosphere with pleasant staff, perfect central location, itself tossa and area is fairy tale,Everithing rooms, pool are clean. Most delicious food. Would be back WITH GREAT PLEASURE.Highly recommanded.
This was a tough one for me as the rest of the hotel/facilities/staff were brilliant but the big thing that I did not like was the fact that our room had an adjoining door. I am not sure if all rooms have this but ours did and although we had fairly reasonable people staying in the next room to us we could still here every single thing. When in our room a bit of privacy is expected and with adjoining rooms like this it is difficult to fully relax. If all rooms do have adjoining doors then unfortunately I would not stay here again but if there are rooms that do not have this and I could stay in one then there is no doubt I would go back
We had a lovely short break here. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. The food is very good, and varied. The beer in the restaurant is a bit dear though! Unfortunately there wasn't a fridge in the bedroom, and you have to pay to hire the safe. It is about 5 minutes' walk to the beach. The pool area is small so I should imagine it would get very crowded in season.
We stayed for a week and found the hotel clean and reception staff friendly. The room was clean, the balcony had interesting fake grass, which amused me. Comfortable room and hotel. We booked half board but only ate in the hotel twice at night as we liked to eat out. The evening buffet was ok, you get what you pay for. There was always a choice of salads, fish and meat and desserts. I just preferred to eat out and sample the local foods. The pool was good and well maintained, however, I was disappointed not to be able to swim before breakfast. The spa was ok and there is a small gym. Hotel is in a good location to walk to the town, beaches and castle.
Just returned from a four night break staying at this hotel. Location is good for old town , castle , shopping and the beach. Going first week in October meant lots of bars had closed for the season but still enough places were open. The hotel is clean , pool area as not very big and somewhat cramped but sun beds were available. Probably won't be the case going earlier in the year. The gem of the hotel is the spa , the use of which apart from a massage , is free to guests. Found the bar prices for some drinks a tad expensive at times. 16 euro for two gin and tonics and cocktails 6 each however a very nice bottle of red wine was only 8 so pick your drinks carefully. Food wasn't great and I'm not a picky eater. A lot of the hot food was quite cold and the choice was some what limited. The room was okay , towels changed daily if you wanted them to be , criticism of the bathroom is that there is no shelf in the shower for toiletries so you're rummaging on the floor for your shampoo etc also we had a louvre type panel near the toilet and you could hear everything from the bathroom next door. Most of the staff were helpful mainly reception staff who will do their best to help. We asked for extra pillows and it was taken care of straight away. All in all not a bad stay and may go back again at a different time of year.
100 mtrs. flat walk from drop off/pick up point to hotel reception. Fast check in by the very pleasant receptionist.Straight up in the lift and we were in our room in 5 minutes. We had a twin bedded room with ample storage space, a flat screen tv,very efficient air con, a room safe, [€3 a day with €10 refundable deposit] and reasonable wifi. The furnished balcony had a street view and an astro turf carpet which cuts out furniture movement noise. A very good idea. The bathroom had a modern shower with constant hot water, also a soap and shampoo dispenser. A hairdryer, nice soft towels and some toiletries were also included. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The hotel has various facilities available to guests including bars, pool, solarium, snack bar and entertainment some nights. All the public areas were clean and tidy and we found the staff very pleasant to deal with. We were half board and both meals were buffet style. Breakfast consisted of a wide choice of hot and cold food with tea, coffee, soft drinks etc. I particularly liked the bacon and eggs cooked to order by the cheerful chef. Dinner offered a range of choices biased towards fish/seafood [excellent value if you compared the prices in the resort restaurants] but there was also a wide range of other foods from soups to meats and pasta, vegetables and salads. Note that there is a microwave available to heat your food if you wish. We thought the food quality was excellent for a 3 star hotel and thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. The wine list starts at €7 upwards and using the hotel prepaid card you can have a 15% discount on the price. Tossa de Mar is a small resort and the GHT Costa Brava is an ideal base to explore this area, well positioned close to bars, shops , supermarket and beachfront. We found this hotel very good value for money and would recommend it for a vacation in Tossa de Mar.
A friend and I spent 6 nights in this hotel as part of a package deal. We opted for the inclusive breakfast and were so glad that we did. The breakfasts were excellent! There was such a wide variety of foods to eat and even after 6 mornings we were still discovering new treats. The dining room tends to get very busy at peak times but food stations are constantly replenished with lovely fresh produce. We started each day with a hearty breakfast which meant that we were able to wait until dinner time for our next meal. The wholegrain bread is the best I have ever eaten. Although our room was a little snug, it had a balcony and we were able to sit outside overlooking the beautiful pool in the evenings, sipping wine and enjoying tapas which we had bought from the supermarket down the road. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms adequately equipped with excellent air-conditioning. Although we had a large group of young adults staying on the same floor as us, we were not disturbed by any noise. The hotel staff were friendly and willing to help with any request. I battled with the wifi initially but, with assistance from the staff, I was soon connected. The town of Tossa de Mar is beautiful and pristine with everything within walking distance from the hotel. There are plenty of eating places nearby which offer a good selection of the local fare. We used the spa in the evenings but were disappointed that this facility closes at 19.00. Again, everything was clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend this hotel to fellow travelers and hope to be able to return there in the future.
This was our 5th stay at the Costa Brava, we come every year, my husband is disabled and access in the hotel and resort of Tossa is perfect.Beautifully clean, towels everyday, friendly, food is really good, quiet, stayed half board as we always do, stayed at Don Juan as well but CB hotel is better, Tossa is a lovely resort, peaceful and relaxing, went to Lloret on the bus, only 20 mins and a nice day out
Clean, efficient, good staff, comfortable rooms. Swimming pool could have been warmer. Ideally located for the town centre and the beach. Tourism office was very helpful and local bus services are first class and reasonably priced.
The Costa Brava is one of five hotels that the GHT Group run in Tossa De Mar. We've stayed in the Oasis Tossa (4*) and the Neptuno (3*) before. This one is a 3* but is an excellent hotel with dedicated and friendly staff. We arrived late at 21:15 on a Saturday night due to Ryanair doing their usual thing, but the reception staff suggested we drop our bags and go straight to the restaurant that was closing at 21:30. A nice touch. We had selected a pool side room and were allocated on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool area but facing north - which meant that we didn't get any sun on our balcony until about 4pm. Not really an issue for us. The pool area was clean and tidy with a small bar serving drinks and snacks from about 10:00am. We never had any issue getting sun beds, but found that many of them had broken plastic supports under the main bed, which made them very uncomfortable. I think the hotel need to replace some of the beds before the 2018 season. The free spa is a nice experience which we only managed to use once. There is also a small gym. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of foods to choose from from fruit, cereals, breads, cheeses, cold meats to hot food such as bacon, sausages, mushrooms, beans and eggs. The fruit juice and coffee was very high quality served from the machines. Evening meal was a bit of a bun fight up until about 9pm, with the restaurant opening at 7:30 pm to a queue of people waiting on the stairs leading to the lower floor. The food selection was a bit hit and miss each night, but we persevered with it until our last night when we went to the old town and had a lovely meal in an Italian restaurant. Overall, a great hotel in the quiet backstreets but only a 5 minute walk to the beachfront. We would definitely stay here again but would only do bed and breakfast next time.
