Hotel The hotel is clearly a few years old, they have maintained it as well as could be expected and it is also clean in the common areas shared by all patrons. The reception area had very helpful staff when it came to looking at things to do locally. That was in addition to the large amount of leaflets etc also on offer. Food There was a restaurant on site which we used a couple of times to satisfy a quick hunger. Menu was extensive and prices were reasonable. Facilities We didn't check out everything the hotel had but we did use the swimming pool on a daily basis as something to occupy the kids whilst deciding the days events. The pool is small and the area around equally so, perfect for a quick dip but not something you would want to swim lengths on. Staff Very helpful reception staff, room maids were equally as diligent. Towels and bedding changed often which always keeps me happy. Local Quite literally right opposite this place is a tonne of stuff to do. Crazy golf, ten pin bowling, soft play centre and trampoline park to name a few for the children. For young adults and the like the night life was equally as good, plenty of bars etc for drinks and good times. I was really surprised at how clean they kept the streets in Calella, trucks out daily emptying bins and sweeping the streets. There was also a good police presence which kept any unwanted things from happening. The local beaches are a 10 minute walk, they are really well kept with beautiful promenades running parallel to it. Parks, volleyball, football and exercise equipment to name but a few free activities along the beach front. All in all very happy with this family holiday - would use again
Everything is near these apartments so it's a great location, staff were lovely and the restaurant down stairs did lovely food and drinks to. The apartment had all you needed and was cleaned regularly. Beds were a little uncomfortable but the price to rent the apartments reflects that. All in all a great stay. No air con which was fine for us as we went in October so wasn't to warm but would imagine this being a problem in the height of summer.
Lovely apartments, everything is close by. The restaurant next door is definitely worth a visit, great food and 10% off as well.loads of bars and shops nearby. The beach is massive and lovely and clean. We will be going back soon. X
very clean and tidy apartments the staff were very helpful nothing was a problem the shops were within 2 mins to get milk tea coffee etc local cafes also close buy or you could really push the boat out and walk 5 mins to the beach and shopping market
Clean, basic and what you pay for. Kettle, microwave and double hob. Tv sound low and can't be turned up above 16. Fan to disperse air. The only downside is the club over the road, no music noise just the screams and yells of people leaving.
Do not know why people complain soooo much (read the reviews b4 going). Very clean very helpfull staff, rooms basic but again clean, access to bars, shops and restaraunts and beach, pool not big but there was not that many people round it when we was there, would def go there again for £112pppw self catering. Love calella
Despite the very professional and benevolent staff that is my worst experience of hotel during my entire life except Soviet Union and its offsprings and some of undeveloped states were I saw even worse ones. Recepcionists Anke and Maria are very nice and helpful but even appreciate their amaicable service I couldn´t rate this hotel higher. It seems to me barbarian that hotel in such hot place hasn´t A/C facilities. But it was not all dissapointment. This aparthotel doesn't have washing machine in the room and doesn't provide principal things as soap, shampoo etc. Cleaning of the room only once per week, and change of towels every second day which is rather enough. Avoid to book 4th floor rooms during hot season they are too hot.Valldebanador avenue side rooms(rooms which have windows looking to Ave.Valldebanador) have rather noisy evenings and nights as there a lot of bars annoying you till morning.
rooms very comfortabe but hot... clean & meet our requirement while in Calella.. Would NOT stay in July or August again as the rooms have NO Air con, they do had fans but they just make you hotter.. kitchen had microwave/grill, fridge, toaster, kettle & 2 ring hob.. bathroom shower over the bath, small bedroom off lounge with sliding doors to section off, sofa & tabel with 4 chairs...
Stayed here in September 2015, spotlessly clean within easy walking distance of shops and bars. Gringo Joes just around the corner is fab. Not the Ritz but hey you get what you pay for. Swimming pool is small and freezing but its never busy and nice to cool off in. Restaurant downstairs is really lovely and with a 10% discount for guests you cant go wrong.
The staff were really friendly but the room was just really bad in my opinion. Firstly there was a small blood stain on the bed, I understand these things can be missed but its still not really acceptable. The room does not include Air Con at all but does have a ceiling fan which does help with the heat slightly but no where near enough. The bathroom had most of the issues with the toilet only flushing occasionally and the shower only ever dribbling water with it rarely being hot water. The only saving grace is that the room was spotless other than the small stain and the pool area was very pleasant.
