Great Hotel which is very close to all shops and beach. Large supermarket opposite the hotel which comes in very handy for drinks and snacks and more. Very good prices too. Hotel itself is lovely and clean and rooms are modern with flat screen tv on the wall. and bathrooms are very up to date and stylish. I was half board and must say the food was plentiful and quite a few choices to choose from on a daily basis. Only thing i didn't like was that you had to pay for drinks with your meal. Breakfast time tea and coffee was Free, but evening meal I had to buy bottled water which I've never experienced before at hotels I've stayed in. Swimming pool was lovely and clean and the area around it were kept clean and tidy too. Overall I would stay at this hotel again definatley
Myself and my boyfriend, a couple aged 20 & 22 stayed here from the 26th of Sept - 3rd of October and had a lovely time. Check in wasn't very smooth, we weren't made aware that there was charge of 14 euros for tourist tax that was to be paid upon arrival. Unfortunately we were unable to pay on card, which was strange? So my boyfriend was sent 'round the corner' to take out cash to pay the 14 euros. The cash point was more like a 4/5 minute walk each way and late at night in a place you have never been was not enjoyable. We were charged an extra 3 euros to withdraw the 20 euros, I understand the extra charge of the cash point was not the fault of the hotel but it would have been nice to have been made aware of the charge before arrival/card payments at reception can not be taken, which we found rather odd? We also requested to be upgraded to a premium room at check in but as it was after 11pm and apparently this couldn't be done until the next morning, also strange, maybe linked with not paying on card? Once we arrived to the room (217) we were pleasantly surprised, a very modern, clean room with 2 double beds - perfect for when I got restless next to my 6ft 4 inch boyfriend. The room was cleaned every single day, fresh towels were produced every day. Although our bed sheets weren't changed, which I expected they would have been during the course of a 1 week stay, I have stayed at lower level hotels (3 stars) and they have been changed at least once. The food was fabulous, a large variety every breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am surprised to read some of the reviews of the food and wonder what people expect from an all inclusive buffet restaurant. Although a lot of the food was the same, chips, pasta etc there were also different main dishes being served every night. There was not much more they could do to in regards to food. The wine was not very nice, I know it was all inclusive so I didn't think it would be amazing but I did find it almost undrinkable and just stuck to water during meals time. I do agree about the queues, we did notice these but all you have to do to avoid the queues is go before 7.30pm or after 8.15pm, it isn't rocket science. Cleaning started at around 7am every morning, which wouldn't have been an issue if we didn't get woken up by loud screeching of beds and furniture every morning. My boyfriend is a heavy sleeper and he was woken up by this every morning too. If the cleaners would refrain from this or just pick up the furniture to move it until 9am it would be greatly appreciated. Brilliant location, 5 minute walk to the beach and just off the strip for shops and a couple of restaurants and bars. 10 minute walk to the train station to hop on a train for 9 euros (return) to get to Barcelona and back, this took just over an hour each way. All staff were friendly and helpful. Rather ignorantly of us our Spanish is very basic, although we tried it was hard to communicate with some employees that knew little English. I would advise you to brush up on your Spanish and make a real effort. Overall I thought the hotel was fab, I would recommend and I would stay again if the issue regarding cleaning first thing was rectified.
Myself and my girlfriend have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay, We had a premium room (201) and it was perfect, lovely, clean and very roomy. The cleaners where spot on and so friendly, always had a smile for us when we bumped into them. The food was fantastic, the best iv'e had for an all inclusive hotel, to be honest i don't even eat that well at home, both me and my girlfriend were extremely pleased with the selection. I've put on 5 pounds in 2 weeks ;-). there was every kind of salad, themed nights, several dishes every night and even a chef in the corner cooking meats and fish to order. It really was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially the catering staff, they were always busy rushing around making sure that there was a full selection of food and that we always had a drink when we sat at our table. The Bar staff were great making our drinks exactly how we liked and reception were lovely and very welcoming. The entertainment was good fun and the lady who organised it gives it 100% every night, she was full of energy every single night. The only thing disappointing was the fact we had a very early morning departure and I was not able to pass on our gratitude to all the staff that made our holiday so memorable. so if your reading this thank you so much Tropic Park and all the staff involved. We really did have a fantastic time and are sad to be home:-(
I never complain on here or write a bad review but felt like I needed to because the staff in the restaurant were so rude! Me and my family got all inclusive and in October so wasn't even that busy. We went down for a meal on our first night and I went to ask one of the waitresses for some wine for the table... she pushed passed me and served someone else. She said "I'll be there in a minute" with a scowl on her face. Then she came over to me because I said that's so rude and just poured me one glass of wine when I asked for 4. Then I complained to one of the other workers and she said "you guys (meaning visitors) push past us" and that "we are so stressed." She did not apologise but almost blamed it on me like I pushed past the waitress, all I did was ask for a few glasses of wine!! And it isn't even the busy season! Was ridiculous and made me feel like it was my fault, I'm sorry I have paid for all inclusive and get treated and talked like absolute rubbish! Don't visit here there is no charm or politeness. Honestly I never write a bad review, am so easy going but never felt so angry! Take my advice don't visit, it's a boring place too.
This hotel was a lovery place to be. Staff was friendlyour and helpful. Room was clean and newly refurbished. There was a good choice of food. The staff in the dining room made great efforts at dinner to give the restaurant a really good atmosphere. The only problem was the stampede to get into the restaurant at evening meal.
I've just recently come back off holiday having stayed at Tropic Park Hotel. I was not happy about the indoor swimming pool, it was dirty, there was no chlorine and no lighting in the pool itself. I could not fully use they're facilities due to lack of care looking after them. Additionally, our hotel was located opposite a train track in which meant that I did not sleep well at all due to the noise level when the train went past, baring in mind this was about 5 times in the night!! I will not be staying in this area of Spain again and I do not recommend the hotel! Furthermore, the food was ok, however some of the meat was not cooked properly e.g. sausages were pink in the middle and the food was very repetitive.
Stayed here Sept 12-19. Was given a room which was unsuitable but Terese on reception could not do enough for us and had us in a new room in no time . The hotel is spotless , the rooms are all modern and had all the required facilities [ towels, hairdryer, tv ]. The food is plentiful with lots of variety and they have themed nights which give you chances to try something new. The outdoor pool was a bit chilly but it was September, so the indoor pool it was.Entertainment at night was good and the lady who organises it runs round like a real trooper. The beach is less than a hundred metres away and the local shops are on your doorstep. The only downfall was a VERY rude party [ the conchita group] that took over the dining room and entertainment area. I will go back to this hotel and well done to all the staff who were very friendly and helpful. see you all again.
I have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Tropic Park Hotel. The hotel itself is in good order, the rooms whilst basic, were cleaned daily and had a TV , safe, and air conditioning, as well as a nice spacious shower and bathroom. The All Inclusive drinks were fine and generous, daily from 1000 -2300. The food was fine, plenty of choice and lots of freshly cooked meat and great salad and fruit selections. Something for everyone. The staff are friendly, and the evening entertainment, whilst not really for me, catered for the generally older clientele. My only constructive comments would be these. 1. The outdoor pool was freezing, and very under utilised which was a shame as there is plenty of space and sunbeds, but few people braved it. I did and it literally took my breath away, so minimal heating would improve it dramatically. There is an indoor pool which is fine, but not really what you head to a sunshine holiday destination for. 2. Our 5 nights All Inclusive stay concluded at 10am on the day of departure. This meant that we only actually had 4 full days there which is fine, but as we weren't being picked up until 2.30 pm, it meant that officially we were unable to enjoy any food or refreshments for several hours. We managed to get around this but for people with later transfer times this would be a pain. And finally, whilst on the subject, the transfer coach is large and therefore carries a lot of customers to lots of hotels, which ended up taking over 2 hours both times, which is not made clear on the site when we booked, and not enjoyable in the middle of the night. I would suggest that a number of minibuses would halve the time and be much more efficient. All in all, a nice hotel and a good holiday.
Just turned back since one week :) Everything was amazing, Localization , cleanness, food ....etc I will mention only why i wouldn't give 5 stars here; 1. Poor animation program-for kids. (didn't like the animator). 2. Hardly to find someone talking in English (unless the reception). 3. Sometime you needed to stand waiting to a free table to have your meal. (Mostly dinner as it's hotel with slandered package of -half board-) .. it wasn't for really long period but maybe it would be an issue for someone who is really hungry :D
This hotel is good if you are on a budget. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is lovely however, the pools are small and look extremely dirty, our balancing safety bar was almost falling off, the light outside, fridge and phone did not work. If you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel then it great. If you are getting a transfer from the airport make sure you know where you are getting picked up from as they told me and my partner to wait where we were dropped off which we did and were 45 mins early to the stop, the bus didn't come past where we were dropped off and we ended up forking out an extra 100€ on a taxi to the airport because of it!
