The location offers great value with simple accommodations and pleasures. Awesome to hear the water and be only a few hundred yards from the sea. Nice and non pretentious atmosphere for a short get away. It would be nice if power converters could be available for conversion 220 down to 110 volts Mattress was a little worn but still comfortable.
My 4th stay at this hotel. Thank god, the breakfast buffet is better again, and also the staff attending it. Especially the short woman in glasses, who seemed to be a kind of boss in the kitchen: She's very nice, always helpful and friendly as a sunrise and also very efficient. She knows what service is! One thing has been constant in this hotel during the years: The cleaning staff are not only professional in their cleaning work, but also very friendly. Meeting one of them for 2 seconds can make a cold and rainy day seem bright and warm again. I know the manager is reading these reviews: Show your cleaning staff that their worth gold! This time I treated myself a room with balcony and seaview, more expensive of course, and I don't regret it. But keep in mind when you consider your choice of room: At weekends the promenade right outside the hotel seems to be a playground for noisy and screaming teenagers, and the balcony doors don't help much. Also the inner walls in the hotel are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbours talking and watching TV. The rooms are small but efficient - if you don't plan to use it for more than rest, it's big enough. The pillows are not overly comfortable, though, but on the other hand I think NO hotel pillows are comfortable for some reason. All in all: The location is excellent, and that costs, but I wouldn't say that Subur is overpriced - you get what you pay for on this hotel. The service is acceptable to excellent, depending on who in the staff you're dealing with. DON'T stay here if you're very sensitive about noise (unless you have very efficient earplugs), if budget is your highest priority or if you want to be treated like a member of the royal family. DO stay here if you want to be centrally located and are prepared to pay for it, and if you think that OK is OK. I will certainly return again.
Clean, friendly, great location just opposite the beach. Restaurant food was the only thing that wasn't so great., although breakfast was ok. Loved the fact they leant us towels after we had checked out. Reception staff were very helpful. As were room staff
A very clean and we'll located hotel with friendly staff and great bar facilities. I would re is it this hotel, but would recommend bringing a kettle for those morning beverages. Siges is only a 40 minute Tram ride into Barcelona where you can experiance ce some great sights. Overall an affordable, very friendly hotel.
Clean budget hotel, I got what I paid for but I think the hotel should invest in better beds and sound insulation. Great location and food was ok for the price. I would stay here again if the price differential is the same but I would not pay more.
Hotel Subur is a seafront hotel, but only a small number of rooms have both balconies and a direct sea view. Most rooms overlook the street perpendicular to the sea-front, and some of them are very small. This is made extremely clear on the hotel’s own website, and it is regrettable that some customers have complained about the rooms not corresponding to the photos. The rooms overlooking the sea are more expensive but, in my opinion, the extra cost is well worth it. The one I had was very spacious, with two 200 x 120cm beds pushed together (which could also be two large single beds). The furniture was very slightly shabby, but the room and bathroom were kept impeccably clean by friendly, efficient cleaning ladies. Reception staff are efficient and generally friendly. Buffet breakfast is copious, but has to be eaten either in a slightly dingy room called the Sports Bar (with invasive TV screens), or else on a rather cramped terrace. Breakfast is not compulsory, and there are cafés serving excellent breakfasts within a couple of minutes’ walk from the hotel.
Rooms too small and out dated could do with fridge and kettle or tea maker as standard, But you don't stay in your room all day thank god, on the other side cleanness and friendly staff make up for it they can not do enough for you.
Not a bad hotel for 3* since it is clean and well situated. As with the Subur Maritim, the rooms are very basic, clean and lack sophistication. The nightly rate is reasonable, the rooms are big, clean and offer a no frill sort of stay. The beachfront location is superb and if you have a beach facing room, you will not be upset by the view, location, etc. There is a sports bar and grill to the front which provides room service and breakfast (for 10 euros a day). The staff are very friendly, professional and the internal hotel is fine. The room was cold in November and the A/C heating unit was very noisy. Whilst you can control the noise, bring ear plugs if you expect to sleep and remain wam.
Basically hotel Subur is as it says and should be. Very clean and functional rooms with a comfy bed and good balcony Defo recommended x Also great location for everything Very close to beach Rooms are a reasonable size 2nd floor good as higher ceilings
Everything was just right.. Breakfast buffet was very abundant. Nice promenade with lots of restaurants. Only negative if you need to park in a secure parking garage 26,65€. Otherwise free parking on street
