This is the second time we have been to Malgrat, after previously staying at a HTOP hotel we selected a bit more carefully as loved the area so much. The Luna Park was a wonderful choice for us, we went half board only as we like to get out and about in the day and explore and it suited us down to the ground. I was impressed when we pulled up to the hotel, and check in was painless. The rooms were fine, cleaned well and the shower was strong and powerful, no faults with the rooms at all, the only complaint was that we had a very small recessed corner balcony, nut it didn't bother us that much, you just adapt to what you do have. The food was great, the staff in restaurant were fantastic, the team of ladies do a wonderful job and always made us feel so welcome. I had no issues with the food, it was fresh, plenty of options in the evening. The breakfast got a little repetitive. The weather was not the best when we were there and we had some periods of cold, drizzly weather, but the hotel has an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi so made use of that. We really had an enjoyable relaxing stay here and would definitely return to the Luna Park.

Friendliest staff in the world, super public areas, room a little basic, price was very cheap for the quality provided, Enrigue (one of the receptionists) was world class, food was brilliant (we took the half board deal), would highly recommend

Stayed a week here, no major issues. Food was ok, breakfast and dinner were just fine but lunch wasn't the best but overall it was fine. Fine big pool, indoor pool, gym, yoga classes, so happy with all that. Good location and frendly staff. On our last nite the hotel lost power, we came back at midnight and we were locked out, the staff said they couldn't open the door and had no clue what was wrong. We went for a pint and when we came back the front door was now open and we had power to our room door. The staff were using the lights from their phone's, as did we to get to our room, just strange that they had no flashlights or back up lights as the place was in complete darkness. No explanation as to what happened when we checked out a few hrs later. Overall it was a nice , clean hotel with friendly staff.

Staying here for short break . Emailed ahead for room request, no reply but got what we asked for. Good points : location, central to shops bars etc. Good food with varied choice 😊 staff on reception and restaurant friendly. Not so good: rooms small , paper thin walls ,some bar staff! Really not good points; all inclusive guests get penalised for being all inclusive. Drinks are limited more and more the closer it gets to 11 pm. Staff watch you like a hawk and make a big deal of how many drinks you have on the table ! This is to ensure they make more money after 11pm when you purchase drinks.😡 Sunbed cushions chargeable wtf? Shame as all these issues this lets the hotel down . All inclusive should be just that! Would return to this area but maybe not this hotel as too many rules ! Thanks to all staff that were polite and helpful, the bar staff could learn a lot from u !

Our granddaughter helped us pick this hotel and "the girl done good"!!!! At the end of the season we expected some shabbiness but there was very little. Spotlessly clean with bedding and towels changed daily. Such a choice of food - we had half board and had no need for lunch as we were still full from breakfast - there was something for everyone; I have a few issues with some foods but still had plenty of choice. Staff were all very helpful and friendly - enjoyed a bit of banter. We feel that we had excellent value for money.

got in room @ 12 o clock room small be ok floor tiles in room 119 all loose near door & bottom of bed could even pick up one and put it back down told man in reception with beard & grey hair when we left one week later still loose and not done someone could trip over then as they kept rising up ok ..entertainment very hit & miss..went half board ....1 euro for mattress for sunbeds..swimming pool ok... food for kids poor kids entertainment ..not very wheel chair friendly steps down to dining room.. wheel chairs have to go outside past pool to back of dining room..30 mins from airport

I am sat in the bar now I have been here 4 days great hotel nice rooms good pool food is brilliant loads of choice you won't go Hungary staff are all nice good location 5 mins walk to the main promande you won't be disappointed can't fault the hotel happy days take no notice of the bad reviews some people just like a moan I think it's a great hotel.

Very nice place to stay however it has shortfalls one being the decor is outdated the rooms are slightly small thus restricting storage space the staff are helpful but limited to understanding English. The biggest let down is the food which is poor and the restaurant is badly set out for instance if you want a fried egg with your breakfast you have to go to a separate area from the rest of the food likewise with toast this applies to all meals there is a limited amount of traditional British food as most of the food is provided with European likes if the food comments were acted upon I would upgrade my rating of the hotel.

Don't go all inclusive..The rooms were nothing like on the website Dirty, no fridge no air con no tea making facilitys, had to wait for a smaller drink than paying guests at the bar "outside" they wouldn't serve us inside even when it was raining.. food was repetitive, couldn't find a rep i will be complaining to Thompsons and would like compensation will not be returning. wi fi poor

At the start of your holiday one is always excited about arriving at a new place. And on arrival at this hotel we were really happy with our choice. Arriving in reception we were greeted by karen and Jana, not sure if my spelling is correct, and we were greeted with a very warm welcome indeed. We went to our room on the 5th floor which was pool view with a balcony. We had an en suite which comprised of a shower, toilet, hairdryer and sink the beds were comfortable we also had a phone and a tv in the room, although these weren't of our taste and was a bit dated everything was very clean so full marks to housekeeping. The free wifi worked fine in the hotel main areas but a bit weak in the rooms. The pool area was good and the loungers, always plenty available with a 2 euro charge for a mattress. Sometimes we saw people let of the charge if they didn't have any change. Also the loungers were filthy in fact they looked like they had NEVER been cleaned the underneath was black. But apart from that the pool looked clean and the indoor pool with jacuzzi was awesome. The restaurant was lovely the food was varied and wholesome but after 10 day got a bit repetitive. The smoked salmon was amazing and also the puddings were fantastic, always had too many puds!!!! The chef on the griddle in the mornings was brilliant and also the barman in the restaurant in the evenings was equally as good. Sima and her team of waitresses including her sister were without doubt fantastic. I have never seen such an efficient team of restaurant staff in all my years of travelling. As soon as we finished eating whoosh the plate had gone and we also witnessed as soon as someone had left their table within seconds it was reset for the next dinners. We were always greeted by a huge smile and shown to our table. I cannot find the words to describe the exact feeling we have but those girls made every visit to the restaurant a total pleasure. The Bar and its staff were in my experience and most of the other ALL INCLUSIVE GUESTS was dreadful. The bar was half in the outside area and half in the lounge but being all inclusive we could only get drinks from outside. On Saturday the 9th the weather was awful we were experiencing a thunderstorm and was sitting in the lounge area. I approached the bar and asked the woman behind the bar for 2 coffees she said I had to go outside. I told her it was raining and said I want 2 coffees from the machines which where in front of me were I stood but she refused and expected me to go outside in the rain. I asked another member of staff for some help but she had told him not to serve me. She then served 3 people next to me who were paying for their drinks. We tried to find a manager but no one was about so we phoned the agent who emailed the hotel. The funny thing is that on returning to the lounge later on in the evening the outside of the bar was closed so everyone was being served inside. I have to add this behaviour only happened when the bar manager was off duty as he was charming and very helpful. I think that on a whole the hotel was good but the bar staff need more training in customer service and I would go back just because everyone else was so nice.. One last thing the reception staff were the best soooo friendly and very helpful. They are on the front line and the first impression of the hotel. Thank you Jana and karen you were the best 😁
