Positives: food, shower & restaurants staff were superb. Negatives: very thin walls. Reception staff not helpful and just dont care, beds are the worst i have ever slept on, you could feel the springs, instead of a double bed it was 2 singlebed pushed together. Our booking said double standard room and reception stated that only the 4 star lunar club has double comfy beds. We had aches and pains the whole duration of our stay not a good night sleep. NO TEA & COFFEE MAKING FASCILITIES IN THE BEDROOM. NO MINI FRIDGE. TAP WATER IS JUST AWEFUL. NO IRON IN ROOM OR TOILETRIES. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR A RELAXING ROMANTIC BREAK.
My mum and myself went to this hotel 1/10/2016 and it was beautiful, spotless tidy and smelt beautiful, every part of the 2 hotels were amazing, staff were lovely and friendly, room was cleaned every day beds made clean towels etc, couldn't find anything wrong and we were so happy we found this little gem. 5 min walk into town and beach, bus stops if you want to travel out for a day, we went to calella by taxi for a day to meet up with friends it was €16 each way but they is also a train you can get , There was always meat and fish every night, chef cooked kebabs burgers etc plenty of salad bits cooked meats, sweet pastry ice cream etc, the chef in the morning does fresh eggs, fried, omelette, boiled, and the best pancakes. We was very impressed with this hotel and would defiantly go back, if your going here you will not be disappointed.
After reading previous reviews I was more than apprehensive about my holiday however the people who have left reviews couldn't be further from the truth no issues in regards to staff...I found all to be friendly and helpful! food was fine. only issues i had was room size however you get what u pay for & evening entertainment however there are plenty of bars/clubs 5mins away as well as the train station which can take you to Barcelona in an hour!!
Staff is completely indifferent, not helpfull at all No animation which is fine during the day but pretty boring at night. You have to go out for a drink, which makes the holiday more expensive All inclusive is not all inclusive: they serve a waterish beer, lemonade from the tap en cava and wine are awfull. All in cocktails are not worth the name 'cocktail' a dash of a liqueur without label with some cheap fruit juice. Poor choice at the buffet. Showcooking during 9 days: we had 3 times sardinas, 2 times pitta. never again
Food was amazing (very good choice of meat, fish, pastries, fruits), room is ascetic but ok for the money, staff is nice and helpful except one particular girl who was not very friendly to me personally, but I don't blame her as it was my fault to not wait, yet not purposely, for the invitation to have a table in the restaurant :) The guy in yoga room was absolutely charming, I enjoyed his class a lot. Live music in the evenings added to a special Spanish taste, the overall stay over there was a good experience
We found this hotel through On the Beach travel and they set up the transfer, flights & hotel. The hotel was lovely and the reviews about all inclusive guests being treated as 'second class citizens' never corresponded to our experience; the staff were always more than happy to serve you at the bar even though they worked long hours from 11- midnight or later. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful and always seemed happy to be of your service! Every meal we had no problem trying to find something to eat and there was freshly prepared dishes which served up something different each night. If you're a fussy eater the 'kids corner' where there was chips and chicken nuggets etc would still cater for you. All staff were helpful from the cleaners to the reception, the let down was the wifi which was hard to maintain and only worked in certain places. It seemed to be that for a few minutes it would work fine then completely drop out which was a bit of shame when trying to contact people at home. The mattresses on the beds aren't overly comfortable and a bit hard compared to what we like Overall this was a fantastic week and the beach is well within walking distance! There's plenty to do if you leave the hotel but you would be comfortable staying in by the pool which we spent a few days doing Would recommend this hotel highly as it provides brilliant food and staff although the wifi is a bit slow!
Just home from a fantastic week staying at the Luna Park, booked through Thomson. We were half board in a nice, basic pool view room. We were only in the room to sleep and change as the resorts of Santa Susanna and Malgrat de Mar offered lots to see and do. The hotel is in a quiet street, minute from the main streets of Santa Susanna and Malgrat de Mar. Hotel is popular with young groups from Germany and Holland, always many arrivals and departures. Our experience was they they were a credit to themselves, behaving very well indeed - in fact much better than I'm sure a similarly aged group from the UK would! The best part of the hotel has to be the amazing staff that work there, and they really did make our holiday complete. From Alícia and her team at reception to the fantastic and friendly cleaning staff and the pool attendant, everyone works very long hours indeed in the heat, but always with a smile. I'd like to give a very special mention to Saima and the restaurant team. Every day they work tirelessly to make sure we are fed well and were always happy to help and greeted us with a warm smile each day. Food was varied and tasty, always something new to try. They are there before 8 in the morning and leave after 11 at night and we were so impressed with their dedication and professionalism. '¡Te hechamos de menos Saima! Overall a lovely hotel, nice rooms, good food, lovely pool area and situated in a fine resort with many shops, markets and boutiques to see. We will be back for sure :)
We were disappointed when we arrived and realised this was a 3* hotel as Thompson had allowed us to believe we had booked 4*accommodation. .BUT the staff made everything wonderful. The bar staff gave wonderful service and the girls in the restaurant were delightful, they were all happy to help and despite the language barrier we had great fun with them all. Food was varied and stacks of it...but for our family of 8 beyond everything else it was the staff who made our holiday. ..beautiful wonderful people and a credit to this hotel.
I would recommend this hotel for two reasons: One if you are on a budget and second if you are travelling without a family with children. The food was okay, not brilliant but by no mean terrible. The indoor pool is small and not big enough for the number of guests. The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff who always smiled and were very nice people. In particular the night staff, where the staff member who does Muay Thai is a great guy.
Our family stayed here at the end of June for a week all inclusive which I have to say was a great deal through Thomson for what we paid Good points- the rooms are kept very clean, most of the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, the food was good and not repetitive ( two fish, three meats plus paella/meatballs plus veggie plus kids options), quiet garden behind Luna Club was pleasant and nice to be in when not wanting the noise of the pool, hotel grounds were private unlike some on the front which were adjacent the street footpath, indoor pool and jacuzzi available when you want, a few streets back from the front so a little quieter than some, Bad points- room walls thin,3* rooms very basic but the upgrade of 510 euros for 5 of us not worth it when all other facilities shared, large groups of teenagers arrived after a few days but didn't cause us too many issues, wi-for terrible but manageable on smart phone only not tablet, snacks not great but meals made up for that, yes you have to stand in a certain place for drinks but most people were not all inclusive during our stays so we never queued for a drink, we thought we were 4* but this was down to Thomson not the hotel, evening entertainment was poor or non existent except for the Flamenco night, hotel hired bikes for free which was great but the 50 euros deposit was excessive and they really need a service, rooms noisy at times from mechanically droning. All in all we did OK for what we paid, Barcelona is an hour on the train for 10 euros return, the tourist train in Malgrat de Mar was a rip off as did not arrive for the returns so had to insist on a refund, Santa Susannha was a more pleasant side of the resort to be. Drunken duck was a good place to watch the F1 drinks were 3 euros each even for bottled Budweiser. Watch out for some shops as they charge your card in Pounds without telling you which means you pay more, I suggest you always say" in euros" when paying by card.
