On a whole we enjoyed the holiday as it was close to an amazing beach and day/night life, with plenty to keep you occupied with a shop at the end of the street for refreshments if your half board which was perfect. The hotel was good but found the air condition poor especially in our room. Also found the food was the same day after day with warm fruit and a poor breakfast option, which we would rate it as a 3* not quite a 4*. But our real disappointment was the mini bar/fridge in our room which didn't work for the whole of our week stay, which we reported twice to reception who didn't seem bothered to which one replied 'what do you want me to do'. They told us they'd put us on the list for the handyman to which we were second but nothing come of it. Very difficult situation as we were only half board and had no where to keep our bottled drinks cold and was drinking warm drinks throughout the week as we couldn't afford to keep buying drinks from the hotel.
Staff are very friendly, Hotel is very clean and constantly kept this way with attaentive staff. Food was very good and plenty of choice. We stayed in 1605 and the view was great of the pool...we really couldnt complain about this hotel apart from the Safe...why, oh why.. are safe's still costing money ???
There is really no difference to the club and park, they are two hotels directly opposite each other and I don't understand why one is 4* and the other 3*, both are three at best. The pool is beautiful, huge, cool and perfect for cooling off, there are hundreds of loungers and never a problem finding one by the pool or garden. We were on an all-inclusive, be warned that this comes with more tricks than treats, it's only available 11am - 11pm, you are only served in only one place at the bar, the food has good days and bad days but mostly bad, be sure to check out the grill at the very back, often a queue and again sometimes worth it, sometimes not. The last two days we've had to queue to get in for breakfast and dinner, we were also allocated a dinner time of 8.30pm, after a couple of days we just ignored it and queued to go down 'early'. We only bothered for lunch once preferring to use the quieter club room where there were snacks available over the afternoon, second time I went down to get lunch I just left as the food looked awful, expect lots of pork, veal and white rice for each meal time. I wouldn't recommend the AI deal, food is awful, drinks are ok but if you pay for your drinks the service and quality is far better. Water appears to be a treat, cold water from the machine or you can get a 250ml bottle for take away, in day one I was so irritated having to go back and forth I went out and bought a 6 pack of 1.5 litre bottles. I don't want to talk about other guests but I will, firstly, we arrived at 3am after flight delays and were greeted with 30/40 teenagers coming in and out or hanging around outside, this was ultimately the theme as groups checked in and out over the week. On check out day there were at least 100 teenagers checking in, no idea what that will be like but relieved I was checking out. The groups were never really a problem except for when they decided to play their music via their woofer (after an hour I complained and it was turned off), or screech at the latest snapchat story. As a Brit, be prepared to feel alone, the clientele is mainly French and German, I think there are four other brits in the hotel and I suspect that statistic would play out across the whole malgrat del mar/ Santa Susanna region. Hotel staff are all friendly. This isn't what I expected for this hotel, it's also not really a spa, indoor pool and jacuzzi are both cold water, massage table is in the garden which is lovely except for a table tennis table 5 metres away and in constant use, Air Con in the room needs to have a card to operate it, the booklet says not but it was the only way I found to get the room properly chilled. The balcony door didn't lock easily, it needed lots of persuasion and I managed it once. To be frank, just not the type of hotel I expected based on other reviews and descriptions, it currently lacks an identity, either it's a hotel for party hard people young people or it's a more adult, sedate, relaxing hotel, currently it's neither and is a mess for it.
Stayed here on 4th July for a week. Was a bit confused between the Luna Park and Luna club as not much difference. We stayed in the Luna Club which was meant to be the 4* but was definitely not a 4* in my eyes, we made friends with another couple and they were staying in Luna Park (3*) and said the only difference was we had a fridge and a nice large double bed. The room was standard and clean, bed comfy and huge! Shower was warm and powerful. Balcony view not great as was out the back and next to the road on level 2. Pool was nice and managed to get sun beds, €1 each for a mattress. Food was okay... although only if you Iike fish!! Which I don't, so was very hard to find a lunch or dinner I liked. Restaurant staff worked hard and always friendly! We went all inclusive and my complaint would be that the poolside bar runs 11AM - 11PM. A few of us sitting round the pool from around 9AM had to dehydrate because we were not allowed water until 11! So in the end we had to buy bottles from a shop down the road. I think 11AM is a bit late especially as you don't get a bottle of water in your room either if you're all inclusive. Also, lack of cocktails if you're all inclusive and bar staff seemed to treat paying customers better. Overall, had a nice holiday and hotel was tucked round the corner off the main 'strip' and literally a 2 minute walk to shops etc so was away noise :)
Stayed her as a couple and booked it last minute through Thomsons. Nice short flight and transfer. Rooms weren't quite ready on arrival but ready for 12.00 which was nice and early. Had actually allocated us a twin instead of a double but easily resolved straight away. Room 1403 was a very good size and got the late afternoon sun. Cleaning of rooms not great as found Glass on floor on arrival and someone's skirt in the wardrobe. Reception staff were extremely helpful and even got me an emergency appointment at a local dentist. Pool area was really nice and the option of mattresses for 1 Euro per day for the sun beds is an excellent idea. Pool towels were also really good quality and just need to leave a deposit. Bar area and staff were really lovely and always smiling, wide choice of drinks available. The real downside for us was the food. The breakfast and lunch were ok and a reasonable choice if a little lukewarm. The dinners however were very bad resulting in eating out 4 nights. Most nights it was fish, fish and more fish with some dried veal. Would recommend staying but maybe not on All Inclusive as may want to venture out in the evening. Central location for restaurants and bars.
Booked AI at Club Luna on a late Thomson deal for a week which although we enjoyed it was long enough. The accommodation was excellent ,room 1315,facing the pool, nice and quiet with late afternoon sun.The all inclusive was fine ,apart from the so called cocktails ,and that the bar staff, one in particular, had to be encouraged to give a proper measure. The food was adequate, but for a week it was ok.We joined in the activities i.e.pilates,tai chi ,yoga etc.which we don't normally do,and found the instructor to be a consummate professional All in all would recommend this hotel and the resort.
This is a lovely hotel, set away from the beach front, no noise on an evening. iy is extremely clean and well looked after. The rooms are spacious, bed & bathroom linen immaculately white. The pool is kept clean, you have to pay 1 euro a day if you want a mattress on your sunbed (cheaper than a bed on the beach) Food is fine salads are repetitive, a varied choice plus a hot grill in the evening. Plenty of fresh fruit and the breakfasts are also good. Saima was very friendly in the dining room. The reception staff were extremely helpful. I would not hesitate come back.
This hotel is set back from the hustle and bustle of the seafront. But not too far back so it's not remote. The hotel has been lovingly decorated to reflect its peace and calm image. We stayed in the club room side of the hotel which was nice, spacious and cleaned everyday. The pool area and gardens were lovely, my only gripe was having to pay for sun lounger mattresses by the pool, a bit odd I thought. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Saima from the restaurant who would always greet us with a smile and find us a table at dinner, thank you. The food was varied and of good quality, and plenty of fresh fruit (slimming world friendly). The bar area is well done with soft furnishings and a very large terrace. The entertainment was low key and enjoyable. An ideal place to chill out and chat in the evening. Overall this a lovely hotel with all the trimmings, best we've stayed in, in a while, well done.
we went here for three days in April booked four star but had to go to the three star part of the hotel for dining room and also for the bar as the bar in the four star was not open. The dining room was downstairs as was the toilets for the bar which was not handy if you had difficulty walking. the entertainment was non existing and the meals were quite cold sometimes especially the potatoes . My husband can eat anything and he struggled to get something to eat some times .The rooms were clean and tidy and the bar staff were friendly but I must say some of the reception staff were not very friendly, on the day we arrived we were told if we did not take lunch we would get it the day we left but the day we were leaving we took our key down to reception and she wanted to cut our all inclusive bands off we did not even have our breakfast never mind our lunch, and when I said to her she said it would be cut off before twelve so we would not get lunch she was not very friendly at all .I don't think we will be back here
We went there in April and we checked in for their 4* room. Excepting the fact that we've asked for a king size bed and we got 2 single beds that we had to bring them together, everything was very good. The room was big and the balcony allowed us to spend some time in the evening admiring the sea. The bathroom was big and up to date. The elevators are the main attraction of the hotel. Even the restaurant is somehow below the hotel it is spacious and the food is tasty and plentiful. You will get a bottle of wine at every dinner and our recommendation is rose. Differently we will come back at this hotel.
