H-TOP Royal Sun Suites

4.5 out of 5.0

Location fine, hotel sadly lacking, rooms very tired and in need of a make over and balconies way too small and not pleasant due to people smoking on either side of us. Entertainment lounge/bar was quite small and due to the 4 pillars depending where you sat, you can't see the stage, also all inclusive guests had to use only one area of the bar, so constant queue in the bar area. We booked this as a belated honeymoon, was disappointed and sorry, wouldn't return.

I agree with many people commented before that it may not a 4*. But most of the hotels in Santa Susannah is same as this one. Other than this we enjoyed the stay very much. Reception staffs was very nice even though they don't know much about the details of attractions nearby. Kids enjoyed the evening mini disco, food was rich and delicious, and the staff in restaurant and bar was very kind and friendly. Again we enjoyed the stay of both Santa Susannah and Sun suite.

Booked this hotel for my uncle and his wife during Easter, but on my visit to see them in the hotel, the room is dated, the whole hotel needs to be refurbished, wifi is not free in this hotel. the whole hotel is dated. the few things my Uncle liked about the hotel is the food, the food is spot on with lots to choose from. and the hotel is right at the beachfront. The hotel still uses key to get into the room which is shocking in this modern age. The bottom line is that the hotel needs to be refurbished from top to the bottom as its in a very good location.

Rooms are a good size corner suits are a lot bigger. Rooms cleaned 6 days a week out of the 7 and clean towels each day. Staff are very friendly and helpful been coming to this hotel for many years and highly recommend it.

Two families of 3 came not expecting too much considering the price we paid. The staff were very nice, always ready with a smile or a joke from cleaners to reception to bar staff they were all lovely However there was no hotel induction, no dos or donts. Some info on areas to visit would be welcome. Packed lunches are available if ordered the night before and were reasonable. The pool was very very small this would be a problem in the peak season but as the hotel was not busy this was not an issue. The sun loungers were good quality. The apartment was a bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. There is a fridge and dining table. Sky sports news us only English Channel. Our teenage daughter had to stay in the living room on a z bed which was not ideal. The balcony was a good size, our view wasn't the best. It was of a car park but as we were not too fussed. The food was reasonable not outstanding and not disgusting. There was always plenty to eat and a good selection. Tip would be to go to dinner when it starts to have a better chance of hot food. The wifi is 10 Euro for 3 days and the safe was 7 Euro a night( a tad steep) when purchasing our wifi etc we were advised that the hotel was closing for the season 3 days into our holiday. we were being relocated elsewhere to the sister hotel. This hotel was right on the beach and had two pools so we were not too upset, WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN. We were moved to the royal sun suites, nightmare - staff are awful.

Booked a 2 bed apartment on an all inclusive basis for my daughter her partner and 13 year old son on an all inclusive basis. Should have been there from 6th Oct 16 for a week. One week before travel received a call to say the hotel was closing early on 7th Oct 16 and they were sending us to a completely different resort in one room with 3 beds in it. I declined and got a full refund ...the new hotel was still a 4 star but I booked the 2 bed apartment as I wanted a separate bedroom for my grandson. I was in Santa Susanna myself on 6th Oct and the hotel was full of guests and hotel staff were unaware the hotel was meant to be closing the next day. I'm sure htop are trying to con us so please get in touch if you stayed in the hotel after 7th October. I rebooked them into a different hotel but as it was last minute had to pay more. My booking was made via Alpharooms. Thanks

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights recently, and have to say we were very pleased with the room. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The only disappointing thing was meal times, we did not find the meal choices great. But defo recommend this hotel as staff very helpful.

food not up to standard for a 4 star more like a 2 star staff very helpful every thing clean when we were there a coach load of school children stayed for a few nights and used the dining room the same time as the other guests so had to wait for tables also no hot water in the mornings entertainment was total rubbish when they turned up

Food very poor and cold . Even the boiled eggs were cold for breakfast. Entertainment crap . Bingo being the highlights of the week . Bar area like a bad workman's club. They use a card system for all inclusive drinks ,so you must carry your card everywhere . Paid for a room safe only to find that it is only bolted to the back of a free standing press .

My friend and I went to the Royal Sun Suites in Santa Susanna last week. We were surprised at the rooms in this hotel as I had read the reviews and wasn.t expecting much. When we arrived we were quite happy with the room we were allocated as I said probably got a surprise as I was expecting the worst. Room was clean, cleaned daily and beds made, hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and the location was brill. The only thing I can complain about was the food wasn.t up to much, but it was edible and for the price we paid we weren.t expecting the ritz. Would go back again.
