Loved the restaurants near the hotel. Hairy Tony's was amazing! Hotel accommodated with a cot for us. We were not that thrilled with the breakfast and went to Dunkin Donuts. Overall a good stay with comfortable beds.
First time at this hotel. We spend alot of time traveling to Cortland for family in the area and have stayed at a few hotels. We are pretty sure this is a brand newly renovated place. it smells new.. everything seems pretty clean and smelled good actually. not the normal hotel smells yet. Staff was very friendly although they did have the times wrong for breakfast so we ended up missing it. The room we had was called a king study. Bed was very large.. air-conditioning worked great which was good because it was really hot. Shower was very spacious. We passed out in our rooms.. it was very quiet so no issues. This hotel is next to a red roof in which could use some updating so that hotel isnt so nice as this one. There is a normal size pool and there is a patio out back that faces a field right now that makes a nice place to have a little lunch or dinner if you dont want ot be in your hotel room. it is close enough to the highway but far enough that you dont hear it all night. price at this time was during the 4th of july holiday so we know it was priced higher than usual but still moderate price hotel for the area without spending it at a motel setting which.. beware.. those are kinda gross in that area. This hotel was nice for a little bit more money.
I love the back patio- grill, tables with umbrellas, fire pit, sectional.
The shades in our room did not work and the staff was great finding us another room even bringing us the key to the new room. Breakfast was great.
Breakfast was great - fantastic selection well presented and comfortable eating area. Nice to have a pool available. Work out room is small but has what you need.
The property needs a major overhaul! Cracked bathroom tiles, peeling caulking, decrepit toilet interior and clogged sink were just a few of our disappointments for a one night stay. Worse yet, a staff member told us new toilets were on site and ready to be installed. Will not return. Too disappointing for a Hilton property.
As always this Hampton Inn has demonstrated why these hotels are so reliably excellent. In particular I would like to mention Ryan at the front desk in the evening. As a manager for over35 years I can attest to the excellence of this young man. Very impressive. The rest of the staff was great too, and I would mention one young lady who was everywhere cleaning up the breakfast area and greeting one and all.
Been to many hotels in Cortland and this is one of my favorite. Decent amount of space, clean rooms, comfy bedding, no smells. Breakfast is decent and if you have rewards club they give you a free welcome snack bag. Will book again when visiting family in the area.
