The quality of the front desk staff is extraordinary. Every request is met with a smile and the quality of the reccomendations was excellent. The room is perfectly maintained, the grounds are quiet, inviting and set a tone for a relaxing experience.
HOTEL: + Nice, big and well equipped rooms. Good beds and linen. + Lovely balconies. + Beautiful view to the see from every room. + Breakfast is gorgeous + Wonderful deck where the restaurant, pool and bar is. Amazing view and good furniture. + Enough parking lots. - Main Street between hotel and beaches. You definitely will hear street noise. - Bad sound insulated windows in the rooms. Old windows. - You can't make the room realy dark. There is always light arround the curtains in the morning. - High prices at the pool and restaurant (for example € 8 for a small bier). STAFF: The most amazing, lovely and helpful staff ever experienced in an slh-hotel. Everyone is smiling, helping and gives you a welcome and warm feeling during the whole stay. Especially the breakfast and pool-crew arround Remy and Seraphine (they get 5*) as well as the reception staff with always helping paul are a big win for the hotel and the guest. @Management: these guys are definitely a USP for the whole hotel experience and is the main point compensating the bad windows in your property.
Overpriced in August and certainly not 5 star quality. There is a cemetery next door and a busy road passing in front of the hotel that destroys the relaxing mood. The shower in the room was leaking, the door couldn't close properly and the toilet seat was broken. None of these were fixed when we asked during our 4 night stay. The shower at the pool was out of order - not very hygienic when it's hot and people use the pool a lot. The views from the deck are beautiful but all is spoiled by the traffic noise. Overall we were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend the hotel or return. Two starts only - one for the helpful staff (not management) and one for the views.
The Miramar hotel is a very nice boutique hotel that welcomes everyone, including kids. The staff is very friendly and the suites are nice and one has a large garden, which is very appreciable with young kids. The hotel has nice gardens and a stunning view on the seaside facing west....meaning a nice sun set behind the mountains in the Golfe. The only thing that is to be perfected is the restaurant as the food is nothing amazing and the service was a bit slow (however, it was the start of the season so, maybe this is the explanation) but extremely friendly. We were very happy with our stay.
From the second we arrived we felt in a sort of paradise on heart: the staff made us feel at home and explanation about the property and surrounding areas were extremely useful. The hotel never felt overcrowded with a lot privacy and attention from staff. Location great with a beach service done using a golf car. The beach under the hotel is small and pretty with a turquoise water The room had amenities including jacuzzi and nespresso machine. WiFi was also working well. The restaurant and pool area are unique with an amazing view. The street under the hotel could bring car noise but thanks to double glazing window's was not an issue. Breakfast was OK but not at par with the rest of the hotel Strongly reccommended off the beaten track of the island and easy to reach from Ajaccio or Figari airport.
We decided to stay at the Miramar in Propriano because it was the nicest looking hotel near to the town and we like to eat out in the local restaurants. Propriano is just a 15 to 18 minute walk from the hotel and a 3-minute drive. This hotel appeared on its website to be of a good standard and appeared to have a good pool and pool bar area as well as well appointed rooms. On arrival we were very pleasantly surprised just how good this hotel is. Everything lived up to or exceeded our expectations. We hoped for a 5 star experience we feel got that and a little bit more. Staff & Welcome: Very very friendly and very welcoming. There was a nice bottle of chilled Corsican Rose and local biscuits awaiting us when we arrived, which was a very nice touch. Room: Modern well maintained with a comfortable kingsize bed. The bathroom was on the small side and has a shower only but it was very smart and everything worked extremely well. There was nice balcony overlooking the seas and mountains Room maintenance: The room was made up and cleaned in an exemplarily manner and there was even a turn down service. Pool and pool deck area. : Very nice pool with plenty of sun loungers around it plus very comfortable seating, there was both natural shade and parasols and plenty of pool towels. Beach: There is a beach a few hundred yards down the hill from the hotel, its sandy clean and the sea is crystal clear. Breakfast: This is served up by the pool where there is a grill restaurant service in the evenings. Breakfast was a little expensive but it did exceed massively exceed our expectations with the quality and choice on offer. Dinner: The hotel serves a limited modern style dinner nightly on the Pool deck / lounge area. They specialise in Blue Homard (the cold water lobsters that are familiar in Brittany, the Channel Islands, Maine USA and Canada. These are kept in a vivier by the deck bar and are cooked to your liking, price is according to weight and season. We loved this dining experience but it is expensive and we only stated in the once for dinner. Car parking: The hotel was not full but it did appear to have plenty of parking for everyone. All in all we had a real good stay, which totally matched and exceeded our expectations.
We have stayed for two weeks in deluxe room with a large veranda. All employees of the hotel should get an award for being most friendly hosts !!! The bar and the restaurant are great. Super friendly staff. Great swimming pool, stunning view from the deck. I'd say that the only minor i have experienced is that you have take a ride by a golf-car to the beach and back. otherwise it is fantastic! We had a little dog with us, and it was never an issue to have her with us anywhere. all great!!
The hotel is very nice, the service is great. the staff is very welcoming and helpful with a personal intention. very clean and fostering. The location is good from one aspect - a good point to travel around, great beaches around and a walking distance to the center. from another aspect, it is very close to a main road and it is a bit noisy. The prices in the bar very expensive. In overall we enjoy our stay very much
The Miramar is a lovely property in beautiful Propriano. Wonderful gardens and modern rooms, with a great pool-side restaurant overlooking the bay. The entire place is spotless and well cared for. Modern and tasteful decor throughout, including a nice piano bar. There service was very good as well. Couple drawbacks are the significant distance to town (a long 15 min walk) and beach. If you have a car no problem, but walking along the busy road was a bit treacherous.
The Miramar hotel is honestly the most amazing hotel we have been too. The staff was absolutely amazing and very kind. They helped us make sure our stay was truly amazing and made us feel more then welcome. The rooms where spotless with a breathtaking view. The Lounge ( Le Deck) was by far the best part of my whole stay. The tapas where wonderful and the decor is modern and classy. The breakfast was perfect and the relaxing day we spent by the pool made us wish we could stay there forever. The driver took us down in the, " mini moke" which was great. Lastly the fitness room with a spectacular view made me want to work out every day. A huge thanks to the Miramar for going above and beyond to make our trip to Corsica unforgettable. I will 100% come back and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's up for a good time!
