We stayed here last night and cannot speak more highly of our short stay.We had a beautiful cosy room with spectacular views of Kinsale Harbour.Bed and pillows were the most comfortable and walk in shower really good.Breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. We had a gorgeous meal in the attached pub in the evening.Cannot wait to return!

On the port at Kinsale, this hotel has some fabulous rooms overlooking the port. Great bedding.....great breakfast....small negative point...hotel very popular with weddings and it can be a bit noisy at the weekends with revelers, and people leaving very early in the morning, with doors banging, and in fact I got up at 3am to shout at a couple who were having a blazing row just under my bedroom window

My daughter and I - and my granddaughter - were dropped off at the Trident Hotel in Kinsale, late at night, by Mr. Dempsey's tow-truck. We had no reservation, as our rental car had broken down some 30 miles away. Tired and apprehensive, we presented ourselves to the front desk and were glad to learn that rooms were in fact available. And as it turned out, they were lovely - as large as rooms that you would expect to find at a four-star hotel in New England. Modern and immaculate, they were less expensive than I would have thought. (Nothing like London, in other words.) Service was excellent and the wifi flawless. Best of all was breakfast: a real Anglo-Irish breakfast with rashers of bacon and eggs to order - served with good coffee in a dining room flooded with sunlight, and overlooking the water. Kinsale itself - which we hadn't intended to visit - turned out to be a treat: windy and brilliant, with sailboats bobbing in the harbor and an interesting shopping district. At some point, I realized that I couldn't have cared less about the car or when it would be repaired. Highly recommended!

This hotel sits at the water's edge within walking distance of the town centre. The meals here are great particularly the breakfasts.Another bonus is the car park for hotel guests. The room we had on the 2nd floor overlooked the harbour and was very comfortable with a large bed and a great shower.

Room was very nice, recently refurbished. View was even better. I would try and get a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor for the best views. Also ask for a higher room number, if there is a wedding on at the hotel the lower rooms get noisy till 11pm.

We arrived later in the evening on a Monday in July but they were able to put us into a wonderful corner room overlooking the harbor! Then when I had left some clothes behind in the closet, they packaged them up and arranged shipment back to Chicago for me..a fantastic hotel at a good price and above and beyond customer service..thanks and we'll see you again soon! The breath taking view, the comfortable bed/pillows, the nice shower, the polite staff, the delicious food.... everything was just perfect here. I would recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Ireland.

We arrived 3 hours before check in and they were kind enough to get us into a room right away -- so 5 stars for the staff. There was a wedding at the hotel that weekend so it was kind of frantic. The staff in the breakfast room were prompt and courteous. Our room overlooked the harbor and was quiet. Would definitely recommend this spot.

We stayed for two nights as part of a wedding party having to travel a distance for the wedding. Our room was lovely and a lovely size with modern decoration and a well decorated bathroom. We also had a lovely view of the boats in the bay. The breakfast was really nice with a cooked breakfast menu which included things like Irish breakfast, pancakes, bacon poached egg and hollandaise sauce, all lovely. The wedding itself was lovely the room was well decorated with the chairs decorated etc and the food was lovely from the shortbread when we arrived after the church and the canapés while we were waiting around during the picture taking etc, to the meal and then the evening sandwiches I couldn't fault anything. Would recommend as a hotel and also as a wedding venue as enjoyed this hotel from both aspects.

The Trident is a lovely hotel in an ideal location. Most rooms face the water. The rooms are very comfortable, great beds and plenty of room. And it's quiet. Walking distance to all the shops and pubs and restaurants. An excellent choice.
