Ticks all the boxes! This place is up there with the international hotels without the price tag. Secure free parking with a great reception, we were `walk in's' here and greeted by a great reception team, enquired about the rate and then upgraded. The room was outstanding with a jaw breaking view right on the harbour. The room and the entire hotel were spotlessly CLEAN with great decor and the bed, the bed, the bed was heaven. Could have stayed here for ages. We did not have to leave the hotel as everything is there, bars and restaurants! Breakfast was included and was beautiful. Would not hesitate recommending this place.

Stayed at the Trident last weekend for two nights. This is a fabulous hotel. Approximately 8 min walk from the town of Kinsale. We had booked the jolly January deal which included a two course dinner in the wharf tavern on both nights. They have an excellent menu with some excellent fish dishes which both my wife and I ordered both nights and we were not disappointed, the food is outstanding and served by very friendly staff who also took time for a bit of a chat. As a wheelchair user I had requested an accessible room, the room we got (318) was very spacious as was the ensuite which had both roll in shower and bath there was also a lower level hand basin as well as the standard one ( the lower one didn’t have a mirror over it and the mirror over the standard one is too high for a wheelchair user, for this reason I always bring my own for shaving) there was also a shower chair and all the usual grab rails. The room was spotlessly clean with a view of the river and boats. The bed was large and very comfortable with little noise from the outside. It also had complimentary bottles of water. It is quiet a long carpeted corridor from the lift to the room which could be a little difficult for a wheelchair user with reduced arm strength. Breakfast was a very nicely presented buffet of cereals, fruits, cold meats and cheeses. There was also the option of hot breakfast cooked to order, which we had, it was very tasty, hot and plentiful, breakfast staff were just like all the other staff we met, very friendly and helpful. The wharf tavern bar is a very nice bar with great staff. It gets a little quiet there when dinner has finished as most people seem to stroll in to town to visit one or more of the great pubs which also have live music, as we did. The wheelhouse bar seems to be the residents bar and is very comfortable and where we had a bit of a sing song on the first night with other guests. The route in to town is level and along the harbor. I did encounter quiet a bit of dog poop on the footpaths in town so as usual keep an eye out for it. There is also a wheelchair accessible public toilet about half way in to town. Overall this is a wonderful hotel which has been recently refurbished. It is warm, comfortable, very clean, serves fantastic food. It is very wheelchair accessible and it also has excellent and friendly staff. I wold not bother looking for another place to stay when going to kinsale again unless the Trident is fully booked. We had a great two nights there, and for that we thank the staff of the hotel, The bouquet of flowers for my wife was a very nice touch and very much appreciated.

We stayed at the trident hotel this weekend and it was fabulous. The staff get a massive thumbs up from us. Willie is very welcoming and great for a chat. shauna is a lovely, friendly young lady with a permanent smile on her face. Joan in the restaurant is amazing and very professional. The rooms are gorgeous. This is our second time staying here and it won't be our last. Thank you for a great weekend.

We just stayed here for a night in a junior suite and the views were fab. We loved our stay here and the room and decor is beautiful. Staff are lovely and friendly and so understanding, I accidentally booked the wrong night and when they called to tell me they just switched the night no problem whatsoever ever. This was completely my fault but they were so nice about it. The turn down service was great, fresh towels and water and some nice chocccies. We will definitely go back in the summer as id say Kinsale is great in the summer when everything opens up again and definitely stay here again.

We stayed in an executive harbour view room which was fabulous. Good size with amazing views . There is a great bar area which serves food as well as the restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in January 2018. We stayed in a junior harbour view suite with a king sized bed. We loved everything about this hotel. Its location is perfect, i.e., a 5 minute walk to the town shops and restaurants. All the rooms have very recently been renovated. Our suites had a great view of the harbour and was very spacious. The bed was great. It was one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept on. I would love to have this bed in my home. Everything about the hotel is 5 star. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking and internet is free. Our suite also included breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast buffet was huge and all the food was delicious. It had a wide selection of juices, pastries, cereals, etc and you could also order a hot meal off the breakfast menu. Definitely first class. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Ireland. We could not find a thing to not like about our stay here.

Stayed in Kinsale regularly but never in the Trident. What a surprise completely renovated. Bedrooms are ver spacious and great view from some. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent. Will only stay in Trident when back in Kinsale

As always the Trident was perfect for our weekend stay and made even more so because we attended the New Years eve dinner with music and dancing. This was one of the best New Year’s Eve we have had as the food, service and the music were excellent. The staff in all areas of the hotel were always attentive and eager to please from reception to the night porter, to the bar and restaurant staff and also house keeping. The bedrooms are kept to a high standard with no faults to be found and all mod cons included.

5 star rating for comfort, location and value. Stayed here last weekend with friends. Our suite was the closest thing to actually staying on a yacht. Unreal! Beautiful views and furnishings with complementary coffee from a Nespresso machine. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks for a fab stay.

Situated on the pier in Kinsale the Trident Hotel is superbly located for visiting the town of Kinsale and the surrounding region. Right on the water the views from many of the rooms are stunning, On our recent visit we had a corner room with two large picture windows overlooking the harbour. The check in was very efficient and friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. We have stayed there on a number of previous occasions and this time ate in the Wharf Bar for the first time. The food was really good and served by courteous and helpful staff. There are excellent hot and cold breakfast options. The Trident Hotel is a great way to start a trip on the Wild Atlantic Way and worth a visit.
