First impression; Looks great, location great - 5 min walk from city centre. The hotel car park is tiny and we were directed to a multistory where we had to pay. There was no room to turn around in the hotel car park / driveway, so we had to back blindly out from the entrance onto the public road. I Booked to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary and so paid top money expecting top quality. We think this hotel is definitely overpriced and don't believe this hotel is currently up to standard of a 4 star rating. The general look and feeling of the building is shabby with stained carpets, dirty walls etc. In our room the shower holder was broken, so I had to stand there holding the shower over my wife's head so she could wash her long hair and then when she tried to dry her hair, the hair dryer came on, off , on and then died completely. My wife told a member of staff working at reception when we checked out and he said curtly thank you for telling us, but neglected to make any note on the computer or elsewhere?
We enjoyed the pool then ate out and only came back to the hotel to sleep. The bed was comfortable. The buffet breakfast was ok but they only had scrambled eggs. We would not return to this hotel.
