We stopped at Charleville Park hotel for our lunch. We were impressed with the lunch which was a mixture of seafood with salad and was as fresh as a daisy. The cleanliness, especially of the bathroom, and the friendliness of the staff means that we will stop by again. There was plenty of parking.
We stayed just one night and would have liked to stay more. There are so many good things to say about this hotel. Excellent reception staff - loved the orange water drink, everywhere was very clean, the room was one of the best we've stayed in, the bathroom is superb, the bar food (and drinks) were excellent, and the coffee and hot scones in the morning hit the spot perfectly. We're looking forward to going back as soon as the opportunity arises. Highly recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of August for a friends wedding. Check in was easy and the staff on the desk were friendly. The rooms were clean and modern, with tea and coffee and ironing facilities. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, could maybe do with a few extra staff during busier periods as tea and coffee service was slow. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the leisure facilities but other guests said the swimming pool was nice. Charleville itself is small but the hotels is conveniently located to the center and Lidl for emergency supplies.
lovely hotel friendly staff and the food was lovely very close to the town within walking distance of local pubs or you could relax in the bar of the hotel if you wanted to relax.overall a very relaxing overnight break was enjoyed there would go back again.
We stayed in your hotel for 2 nights last week and the whole family had a fantastic time. From check in to check out the whole experience could not have gone any better. You have a beautiful hotel but by far your best asset is the staff. We were greeted by Aine at reception who was really friendly and explained everything we needed to know. We had many dealings with her throughout our stay and she was always a pleasure to deal with. All the staff in the bar were really helpful and along with the chef arranged gluten free food for my daughter. We had 2 meals in the bar and everyone really enjoyed the food. Same was done at breakfast. (Must complement the chef on the best brown break i have ever tasted!!) The staff at the leisure centre were really friendly and welcoming and really kept a close eye on everything going on in the pool. Infact we enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked to come back in October and cannot wait. It has to have been one of the best hotel stays we have had as a family.
Stayed with family and have a number of times but it looks a little tired .I hope it can keep going several water damage on ceilings room very hot no air co staff helpful rate was good but when looking closer cleaning in places a little poor maintenance of toilets sinks beginning to show lack of care Hope im wrong and it keeps going but attention to details would make for great family stop over
Stayed recently again - stayed several times over the years - room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast service in restaurant chaotic - no cups on table - had to get our own and knives. Food items hadn't been replenished - I hate asking for items continuously. Food in bar was okay only - lunch time carvery is their best food option. Restaurant staff seem disinterested.
Family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children. We found the room we where allocated adequate for us. The only issue we had was the intense heat as we where above the kitchen, we left the windows open 24 hours a day. The pool was used and we enjoyed it. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and found the food to be more than adequate, plenty to eat on the plate. Floor service was good too. We had no faults with the hotel. We have stayed here a few years ago and always wanted to return to it.
Popped in for an evening meal in the bar. A big barn of a place. plenty of space for folk to sit and eat and to move around. Obviously popular with the locals - not too many other places to go in Charleville though. Staff serving food in a number of different areas - forgot our drinks order - came later after re-ordering. Burger not cooked through - which could be a significant health problem if you were unlucky with the E.coli - I wasn't. All in all very average - but maybe the Park Hotel doesn't have higher aspirations ?
Really nice place, always come for family functions but it was nice to come with friends for a change. The experience was made more enjoyable as our server named 'Kevin O Leary' was very polite and helpful with my friend who has allergies.
