Please be careful - this establishment will not reply to emails via their "Contact Us" website email or by emailing them separately from a private email. I tried four different times over the course of two weeks to modify an upcoming (2 mos away) reservation with no reply. As we live in the States, i didn't want to call overseas, but I tried that to and couldn't get a human voice. Be VERY CAREFUL with your booking as you may not be able to change it. If the hotel doesn't have the courtesy or wherewithal to even reply to a customer...makes you wonder if you actually had a problem when staying onsite. BEWARE...
We stayed at the Harley's Townhouse. We had to collect the key from the Bella Vista Hotel but it is only a few minutes away from the Townhouse. Right from the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome. The townhouse is comfortable with nice views to the front. There was a lovely touch of a box of chocolates left the night we arrived and fresh scones delivered to our door the following morning. Overall it was a great experience.
Went for a night away with my girlfriend, hotel was easy to find Satnav brought me straight to the door. Staff were lovely and polite. Room was very comfortable big bed and plenty of space and a nice very clean bathroom. There was live music in the bar on the night. There is also a Chinese restaurant in the hotel aswel. We Definitely would stay here again.
One of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in. All newly renovated and amazingly done. The bar and lounge was nice and cozy and well priced. Theres a Chinese restaurant we didnt eat there but smelt amazing. We had breakfast which was tasty. We had booked a triple and double room on booking.com and last minute we had someone pull out so wanted to change the triple room to a double. We rang the hotel and the woman at reception explained how to do everything. Every single one of the staff were incredible. I cant compliment them enough. Nothing was to much for them. They even brought us up to our room and they showed us how everything worked, they made sure the fire was burning in the bar, and the list goes on. They made our stay ten times better. The rooms we stayed in were huge and so were the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spotless. We also had a lovely view of the harbour and the church (the bells do go off every hour but it didn't disturb us at all). Our only complaint was the door in one of the rooms (room 6) was very difficult to lock so much so we actually couldn't lock it at all during the night but I have no doubt in my mind if we had said anything to the staff they would have fixed it straight away. (we didnt because it didnt bother us) Would highly recommend staying here if your taking a trip to Cobh.
Can’t say enough about this hotel and the amazing staff who bend over backwards for you, beautiful location with amazing views, thanks so much to Collette, John and the legend of a bar man(forgot his name 🙈) who went out of his way to get me a tie for a wedding after my own got a stain on it, even offered up his own tie!! Lovely people, will def be back!
Myself and my partner stayed here, at the bellavista, for the long weekend. The staff were really helpful and we had a fabulous, spacious room, overlooking the harbour. What a view!!! The cosy bar, with its open fire, had live music, and we ended up staying at bellavista bar on both nights!!! The town centre is a five minute walk, and it is a lovely quaint town with very friendly locals, who couldn’t do enough do help us :)
We recently stayed at Bella Vista, a family of 2 adults and 2 children in 2 rooms. We were kindly assigned rooms next door to each other. There isn't a single thing I could fault this hotel for. The staff are lovely, friendly and so helpful. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. The bar in the evening is cosy and relaxing with live music on Friday night and a lovely open fire. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and tastefully decorated. The location of the hotel is on a steep hill overlooking Cobh and the harbour. The view from the restaurant and bar is stunning. It's just a short drive to Fota Wildlife Park which was the main purpose of our visit to this area.
First of all, I must say that the Hotel is located in a perfect place. we stayed in Bella Vista as a group of 18 people in different rooms. The main thing you notice is You actually fall in love with the spot. The hotel is facing towards the shallow waters and a splendid view where you can see 'One of the Worlds rarest churches in the county side which is a must visit if you are there*. The hotel staff especially, Mr. Fredrics the Hotel Manager who was extremely friendly and was courteous to our needs right from handling luggage to the rooms. Colette, the receptionist was very really welcoming while we were checking and the breakfast was fueled by happiness and very delighted to have well-made scones & had a superb 'Irish Breakfast'.Also, the entire hotel was very clean and fresh to stay in the rooms. Following, during the night time, The Bar Man John was really a Craic in serving remarkable drinks and have a great list of the cocktail menu on the side. The food was amazing and tastes so good, especially the Chinese Salt & Pepper chicken* from the Chinese restaurant really goes along with the drinks as starters. Also, its a 5 min walk to the Cobh town, where you can meet very affable, amiable and congenial people who welcome tourists like I have never seen. I highly recommend this place to everyone who goes to Bella Vista and I hope I can revisit this special place every year.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the bella vista, albeit short and sweet, due to a work visit. The room was very spacious and had a wonderful nights sleep which is very important for me, when travelling on business. Breakfast was the highlight for me. I also got to enjoy a few pints in the hotel bar and a whiskey or two from the huge variety of whiskeys they have to offer, which is a really nice touch! Staff were really friendly and welcoming!! Hope to see you all soon!!
Just wanted to express my thanks and gratitude to all at the Bella Vista Hotel!!!! Thank you for making our stay a very warm and unforgettable experience. Myself and my family, which included my husband and five year old son felt at home during our stay. We were greeted by the owner Kevin, along with other members of staff, who really couldn’t do enough for us! We visited Cobh due to the huge maritime history that the town has to offer and cannot wait to return in the summer with our friends and family. Kevin kindly showed us a larger room, upon request, to cater for our bigger party which offered breathtaking views!! Look forward to seeing you all again soon!! Would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel to anyone visiting Cobh!!
