From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, the staff here were wonderful. Lovely welcome, my friend had to change her room because it was too many stairs for her to manage, no problem and they moved her luggage to the new room while we were out. The sunbeds and swimming pool an added bonus, especially after a long day sightseeing. Wasn't there long enough to try out the Spa. Close to lots of restaurants, less than 10 minute walk to the Real Alcazar or Cathedral, so very centrally located. We got the EA bus from the Airport to Avenue Carlos V, got a Taxi to the hotel from there, but it is walkable. This hotel is fabulous, great rooms, very quirky layout, lots of novelties to discover about the hotel.
We have been staying here for the last 11 nights for our honeymoon and it has been wonderful! The hotel is beautiful, Spanish charm with excellent service. Breakfast is fabulous too! The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly and the local restaurants are unreal - amazing food! We will be sad to leave today!
Meandering, lots of courtyards with lovely plantings and fountains it's an old hotel with lovely charm. Service excellent, breakfast a little limited but really has everything you need. Bed very comfortable, very nice swimming pool. There are even ancient diggings. The only problem we had was the aircon was freezing. Once mentioned however the service man came to look at it and came back the next day to check on it so very good service. The staff always helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
A beautiful hotel in the historic centre of Cordoba. What a nice place to be! Fantastic patio's with water and plants. And even a parking spot for our car! Visit the Mosc/Cathedral and the jewish quarters, you will be amazed!!
We had a lovely welcome here from Anna Murillo on reception. She even showed us the historical features of the inner courtyards with their fountains and gardens.. It is a fascinating place and full of interest. My room was very quiet with a huge comfortable bed. The bathroom was very luxurious and spacious with two washbasins. The hotel is very central to all the attractions in Cordoba. Breakfast was varied and cost 16 euros.
This hotel is located close to the Mesquita and there are lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We used the hotel parking which was easy as the staff take your car for you (and the water they left in our car when we left was a nice touch). Our room was spacious with air conditioning and wifi that worked well. The bathroom was large (twin sinks) and well stocked with toiletries and had a hairdryer. The only problem we had was that the shower door leaked. The hotel pool was a great attraction as the temperature hit 40 most days, but it didn't get over crowded we always managed to get sun beds. The pool area was kept clean and towels were frequently restocked. The breakfast room was large with plenty of tables, there was a wide choice of food on offer which was kept replenished by the staff. Although I think this is part of a chain, the hotel had real character and was an interesting place to stay. Would definitely recommend.
Without repeating too many of the wonderful comments others have made, I wanted to highly recommend this beautiful hotel. My wife and I stayed there in late April, which was also a wonderful holiday time to visit Cordoba. The hotel is like a small compound made up of several (five, I think) separate historical homes joined together around internal courtyards- utterly charming. The location was fantastic for exploring Cordoba, and the service was exceptional. One person by the front desk who gave us our orientation when we arrived and helped on a few other things was particularly wonderful. Staying there felt both casual and elegant at the same time, and the warmth of the people throughout Andalucia was particularly in evidence here. We would love to go back!
Centrally located in the Jewish quarter. A pool during the recent very hot weather was a real benefit. Room simply wonderful. Let down by an ordinary breakfast and recommending a restaurant that was closed.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the end of June. The location of the hotel is fantastic for exploring the historic area of Cordoba. The hotel is very beautiful with lovely flowered courtyards. We had a lovely penthouse room with a terrace that looked out at the Bell Tower and the Mezquita. Weather was quite hot during the day and we enjoyed the lounges and umbrella on the terrace during the afternoon. Room was very clean with a large shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was in a quaint room downstairs and did not offer a large selection but was adequate for us. The hotel staff was very friendly and they helped us book the Flamenco club Carmen which was very enjoyable. The only negative aspect of our stay was a strong sewage smell that came from the drains in the bathroom and on the terrace. We did inform reception the first day and it improved the second day but was very strong again by our departure day. This hotel is located in the historic area of Cordoba and I'm sure the infrastructure is old and this accounts for some of the odour problem but it was quite strong and unpleasant.
This hotel is a complex stretching over 16 historic town houses and all connected by an underground tunnel. It is quite a maze with all the different alleys and floors and will take you some time to find your way around. The rooms are in historic style and maybe a bit dark and with some mold smell - but somehow that belongs to the historic experience as well as the wooden noisy beds. They have a nice rooftop swimming pool and bar, which offers you great views over the roofs of Sevilla, but might be a bit crowded during peak times. To escape the crowds you can relax in one of the tranquil Patios that are split over the whole complex. Breakfast was good - although you feel a bit like in a prison as it is located in the old underground storage room. If you step outside the hotel you are right in the middle of the Jewish Quarter with all its narrow streets and hidden Patios and restaurants. If you come by car a navigation system is recommended as you have to find your way through the labyrinth streets of the old town. There is a place to unload the car in front of the hotel and the friendly hotel staff will then park the car for you in the close by city garage for 25 EUR a day - not cheap but your only option. The free WIFI does not work in most of the rooms, only the public areas.
