Nice hotel very clean but was a bit mislead about the renovations the hotel website said they were all finished but they weren't ,good breakfast & good service by all the staff members they couldn't have been more helpful
Stayed at this hotel with a coach party the coach had to park on the main road and we had to walk to the hotel with our cases as the hotel is tucked away in a back street with no traffic allowed, but the bedroom was comfortable with en suite facilities very clean. but no views at all inward facing a courtyard, the place is being refurbished. The breakfast was good and a choice although the coffee machine coffee was awful. But the hotel is situated near all the shopping facilities which is about a 10 mins walk away. Staff on reception were helpful.
Yes the hotel is central but hard to find. It is soleless and lacks any charm at all. It is also overpriced. Reception staff are not very helpful. There was a lot of refurbishment work going on in the reception area. Room was O.K. but dark and inward facing a central area which was dirty. Room was clean but small and the double bed we had booked was two singles. Beds were clean but dressed with rose flowered covers that reminded me of Grandmas house. Pillows were terrible. Bathroom was acceptable but no more than that. Breakfast was poor with almost raw bacon, rock hard scrambled eggs and small tasteless sausages. Staff in the breakfast room were sour faced. 18 euros for parking. Will not return and suggest you don't book it.
The hotel is located on a side street in Cordoba. The reception is friendly but they don't care to go above and beyond for customer service. The room was clean but the bathroom was very small - very quiet in general as few people were staying at the hotel. Breakfast buffet was decent in terms of variety. (we found some rotten fruits and brought it to the attention of the staff - they took it). Location wise - if you exit the quiet street where the hotel is located, you will get into the shopping area; the main sightseeing spots are close-by as well (may be 15-20 minutes walking distance - get a map so that you can figure it out beforehand). If another hotel choice is available, we would not go back.
On a quiet side street in Cordoba, Hotel Selu was difficult to find because the lobby was under renovation, and there was no sign on the street. I walked by it twice before I noticed what looked like a reception desk in the middle of the rubble. Once there, the reception was friendly and professional, the room clean, spacious and quiet, and the location satisfactory. It was close enough to Cordova's attractions for an easy walk, but situated in a more local, business and shopping area of the city to feel as if I were not just a tourist. It was also only a few blocks from bus and train station. The only drawback to me was that there was no breakfast offered, and cafes were two or three blocks away. I would stay here again.
The hotel rooms were good clean and light with modern facilities. Plenty of hot water and the beds comfortable. The TV is Spanish system only but contains UK news etc. Regretfully at the time we were there the reception ,dining room and kitchen were being refurbished so I cannot judge the hotel overall. The staff I think did well under the circumstances and cleaning was good. Food only average. Would go again though when refurbishment complete as in an ideal location for exploring the town.
In the lobby there are currently construction works, so it's loud during the day. The rooms are of good size, not fancy but ok. Bathroom is clean, but just a bathroom and too small. Location is good, you can reach every sightseeing spot by foot.
An older hotel located down a back street near the city centre. Our room was somewhat small, but clean and functional. Bathroom had the usual toiletries. Security safe required a large key and a 20 Euro deposit. 17 Euros were refunded when the key was returned. Strong wifi, but required a special code. TV offered many channels. Few English speaking. The included breakfast buffet was pretty basic. Somewhat surprised at the limited amount of fresh fruits. Probably would look elsewhere when next in Cordoba.
This is a lovely hotel for the price range and the staff were very helpful and keen to help. The room i was allocated was clean and fresh. Pleasantly decorated. On the down side the room was very small with a terrible view of a wall. breakfast was adequate and fresh, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would stay here again but not in the same room due to the view. The hotel is very close to all the historical sites which this beautiful city has to offer. Plenty of shops and restaurants close as well.
Chosen because of proximity to the old town etc. Car parking underneath hotel. Small flat screen t.v. in bedroom, BBC World News & Sky International News available, as well as about another 100+ (foreign) stations. Remote control required a deposit from Reception, but you could operate tv from back of set. Safe deposit box in bedroom, 20€ deposit plus 6€ per night, adequate bedroom with fridge for customer use (nothing in it) and functioning bathroom with soap, shower gel and shampoo, shaving point. Breakfast usual continental - cereals, buns, ham, cheese etc. (loads of choice). Poor lukewarm streaky bacon, beans etc. Self operated toaster. Sludge coffee, awful teabags, so take your own. Good Reception seating, small lift, down to car park, up to bedrooms. Friendly & helpful Reception & breakfast staff. Had other meals in Town (Menu del Dia). Looked into eating in the nearby Victoria Food Market - decided against it. Would return to stay again. Functional, adequate simplicity.
